Right you horrible lot stop nattering so much nah it wouldn't be fun if you did

So you have wandered into this corner of MN were the fledglings - a long running but very friendly group welcomes newbies and follows the flylady way to try to get decluttered and on top of the boring stuff in order to have more time for the fun other boring but essential stuff

No idea whose turn it was to run the thread this month but here it the thread and we can figure it out from there.

lisette wish I could have gin. Think I'm still too poorly alas.

foxessocks · 03/03/2018 15:24

It'll just give me a headache I think.

CotswoldStrife · 03/03/2018 15:25

Nooo, foxes Can they not fix the water? Will you get a full refund? What a pain when you were looking forward to going away.

I am fine to do the links thanks SC, my throat is really sore but it's OK when the paracetamol is working. I've had a coffee now to liven me up for the afternoon. Out of all the poorly fledglings, I'm probably doing OK!

Main roads are OK round here, it's the side roads that are lethal! I did get out today as DD's Saturday morning activity was still on Hmm but she was pleased to go. She did go out in the snow for a short while yesterday but it was just too cold! It is a lot warmer today and rain is forecast, so I think most of it may disappear overnight!

foxessocks · 03/03/2018 15:28

Cotswold yes thankfully we will get a refund so that's something! They've called an emergency plumber but nobody free yet.

Cagliostro · 03/03/2018 16:56

Oh foxes and after all your worry about whether you’d be able to go :( so annoying. Hopefully you can retry when at full health and with better weather.

Yes I just really feel like, well running away TBH Hmm but in reality just want to not have to think about every sodding thing all the time. I think I’m mentally exhausted as much as anything. DH is ridiculously stressed at work - it’s not a take your work home with you kind of thing, it’s just generally shit, but too risky to jump ship ATM. Luckily the boss arranged for him to take some unpaid leave once a week next financial year, which is affordable due to other less stressful/exhausting work he’s got. But it just feels like we don’t actually have any time for anything ATM. It’s been crap timing with his various running events and a few family things, it has added up to a lot more than usual but he’s not booking anything else now, until we are settled in the new house.

The whole moving thing is obviously a huge stress as we don’t know what’s happening. It’s tempting to just think everything will be better when we move (that to some extent is DH’s view on it) but I don’t think it’s that simple. That’s not to say things won’t improve (more space, things like having a shower as bath time takes forever) but I think it’s naive to think it’s a cure all. And that’s without all the stress of actually moving.

Why is life so complicated? I am in a much better place mentally to tackle stuff, but have no time or energy to catch up on the many years of being totally useless. And I feel like we will never get there. I’m not sure I’m a proper adult Hmm

Steamcloud · 03/03/2018 17:39

None of us are "proper" adults Cag so try not to worry about that Smile. I sometimes think that if it weren't for dh, I'd be living in a cardboard box under a railway bridge somewhere. Life is bound to be stressful with three young 'uns - must leave time for very little else - but it will get easier (physically anyway!) as they get older. And moving house may have more of a positive effect than you imagine; never underestimate the effect of your immediate environment I reckon. Anyway, hang in there, everyone fed and no one dead etc etc! I couldn't even contemplate home edding while looking after a baby, never mind actually doing it! So hats off to you, you are doing so brilliantly Flowers

Oh no Foxes Shock that's awful! Especially when you were feeling ill and could have stayed tucked up in bed! And when you needed a break so much. That's really rotten luck Flowers

Glad you are not feeling too bad Cotswold and take care on the icy roads.

Waves to Lisette and everyone else!

I have nearly finished roasting two chickens - now making a huge vat of pesto pasta - then one huge bowl of green beans - then one big carrot salad. Hoping that is enough for the baying teens if I throw in two baguettes and some snacks things ....going to throw it all down on the dining room table and retreat to a safe distance ....Grin

Cagliostro · 03/03/2018 20:58

Thank you Thanks it’s been a crap day, again, problem is I have a crap day, and so get totally behind, and DH has to spend the morning (as he gets home so late) catching up, and then we never get anything else done and it turns into another crap day. It’s not helping that Cagletini is in full on clingy growth spurt mode, cluster feeding and pinching (I am thus very sore of boob) although she has started rolling halfway over so yay! But I’m knackered from it all. The sling doesn’t work in the house as she prefers to be properly moving like on a bus or long walk.

DS has also been incredibly hard work, days like this I don’t see how there is any doubt he has ADHD as well as autism. Impulsive, hyperactive, he has hurt us and ruined things. I can’t risk leaving the baby with him for even a second - he would never hurt her on purpose but he loves her so much he’s all over her and days like this has zero sense of space and danger, hence the hurting.

Haven’t even finished my curry let alone clear up. I hate that DH has to come home to this.

Re: the reason I struggle so much, I finally read this today, it’s brilliant and I’ve been brave and shared it on FB despite knowing that some people may roll their eyes at the excuses...

Bowerbird5 · 03/03/2018 21:35

Will have a read in a minute.

Tired, just come to bed and oh so lovely. Climbed into fresh sheets and cosy layers. Had a couple of halves at the pub then home to have slow cooked beef, mash, peas and fried mushroom and onions in herbs.
Dusted and tidied bedroom. Need to vacuum.

CotswoldStrife · 03/03/2018 22:31

Zoo that sounds super-stressful! Snow pony is fab though. Sorry the trip turned out like that for you, the thinking required in adulting is exhausting some days when it feels like you are the only responsible one around Sad Cag go easy on yourself too.

I'll post the links next.

Hello all Flowers
I'd love to join instead of lurkingBlush...Hills ... you are on fire with your list! Just looking at it makes my spondy throbConfused Slow and steady fledgling for me due to various crap illnesses but will give it good bash and it'll hopefully help with my pacing. The plan is not to hurt so bloody much, anyway.

Afreshcuppateaplease · 04/03/2018 05:04

Welcome ginning!
