February Fabulosity with the fledglings, Flylady Feb 2018 thread

Hello all - welcome to our February thread for 2018. Everyone is welcome and it's never too late to join in. We are decluttering our homes and keeping them clean and tidy(ish) as well as having some general chat as well.

We follow the Flylady method, and will post links daily to the missions via the Flylady website. For more information, have a look at www.flylady.net/

Here's to a fun February for all of us (with the occasional prod from the pointy stick of motivation and visits to the naughty corner )

Yes, cag and sc I am okay. DP had to send me up to bed at 6 pm on Saturday evening with chocolate, tea and a hot water bottle because I was so tired and couldn't stop crying. A combination of lack of sleep and feeling stressed and feeling hormonal although I feel hormonal most of the time

Am okay, still wobbly but essentially okay.

My ta-da's for January (ie resolutions)
No spends on clothes
Reached by target steps and over 28 days out of 31
Washed up before bed, 30 days out of 31
Bed before 10.30 pm - maybe 10 out of 31 but I will keep on trying

Clean-ish, I said. Lightning may strike if I claimed to be pristine

Baby-step no 1 - shine your sink

Zone 1
We are in Zone 1 this week: the entrance, front porch and dining room

Spend 15 mins decluttering in Zone 1.

When you have finished decluttering, the detailed cleaning list (if you are at that stage) for Zone 1 is here

Mission for Thursday dust the skirting boards in the lounge and dining room (a great job for a feather duster)

The daily focus for Thursday is: errand day

The monthly habit for February decluttering for 15 minutes a day

daily reminders (radio show times are probably not accurate for UK but can listen to previous shows/podcasts)

Well that was a good start

Sorry about the duplicate, the page went a bit funny after I tried to post. I think I was stunned by the hot water (or other) bottle.

DD has at least made it downstairs tonight, first time since Sunday. She seems to be going down with an ear infection now though. Buy Calpol shares now, sales are increasing. DD has a heat pad against her ear. Definitely a heat pad.

Us Cotswold we own calpoldd2 seems to use it all bar intravenous half the time...
She is,of course,complaining about her throat tonight.hoping she's not succumbing to lil zoos lurgy or worse,adding another into the mix.since lil zoo change primary and D's start secondary in sept three different schools worth of germs and being bought in,intermingling once in my house and creating new bloody bigger bugger off germs.grr.someone please tell me in couple months they will adjust and immune systems will stop just laying down saying "school day lads.lay down your weapons"?!

Well I have shares in distilled witch hazel and Epsom Salts. Fabulous stuff, especially with ds
Ds is standing between me and a hot kettle. I want my hot water bottle dammit. Ds has however just finished his homework a loud and shouty angry chore which was apparently my fault And will shortly be fucking off to bed. Although he is currently dancing around and wishing for a bit more snow because apparently if there is more he might get a day off school. Personally I don't give a shit because either way I still have to get up at the same time because I will have to check the school website.

I am finding it most bizarre waking and lil zoo asleep.most unnatural.shows how poorly she's been....
Super busy day,I have a meet at church at 12 regarding a pop up cafe on Wednesdays being considered that will provide a listening ear,friendship and support and "a place to go where it's ok to not be ok"
I'm actually quite excited by this as the mental health services were are as much use as chocolate fire guard and for many struggling the isolation perpetuates the illness iyswim.hope we can get it off the ground
Also seeing a friend for drink n chat .luckily it's mum of 9 so If like zoo still at home she's happy to come to me and will sit with her whilst i attend meeting

Signing in. No flying today - DD's school is shut due to a water leak so we're going to do something fun. DH day off too, so a real bonus day.

DD wants to go swimming in a pool with a flume, I'm half tempted to do something really crazy like take her to London. I even looked at Legoland - but it's shut. I would normally avoid going there, but nowhere will be very busy on a random February Thursday!

Aww, thanks zoo, that's exactly what I needed 😊 Think I just need to accept that mon - weds is just a write off in terms of just generally having a life 🙄 The trouble is that then I am most definitely NOT in the mood for flying by Thursday, the temptation to just fester on the sofa is strong 😫 Got a friend coming tomorrow, so I have got lots to do 😔
