Hello all - welcome to our February thread for 2018. Everyone is welcome and it's never too late to join in. We are decluttering our homes and keeping them clean and tidy(ish) as well as having some general chat as well.

We follow the Flylady method, and will post links daily to the missions via the Flylady website. For more information, have a look at www.flylady.net/

Here's to a fun February for all of us (with the occasional prod from the pointy stick of motivation and visits to the naughty corner Cake Brew Wine ) Grin

Afreshcuppateaplease · 04/02/2018 07:14

Dd is the sort who gets up at crack of dawn and after two hours is so bloody grumpy because shes tired Hmm drives me nuts. She needs to grow out of the early starts.

Afreshcuppateaplease · 04/02/2018 07:28

stressy did dd1 do rainbows before brownies? I have just put my dds name down as shes nearly five

Stilllivinginazoo · 04/02/2018 07:35

should be like Sims afresh if only in RLGrin
I do like kids of all ages, not just newborns, but there is something rather lovely about a small bundle that can't walk away/answer back when you are talkingGrin

Afreshcuppateaplease · 04/02/2018 07:38

Yes i think i would just keep one a tiny baby and let the others age naturally....

Lisette40 · 04/02/2018 07:39

gosh you're all up ta-daing already.

Lisette40 · 04/02/2018 07:43

Oh bower you poor thing. There's a thread about this virus on Mumsnet. People have had it for months. All I can do is not overdo it during recovery and just hope I'm one of the lucky ones.

Bowerbird5 · 04/02/2018 07:44

No not all Lisette. I went back to sleep for another hour need to get up now and get that cake in the oven. Feel better for the extra hours sleep. Part of me wants to cancel today. I have a later start tomorrow though. Might leave choir early if not up to it.

Lisette40 · 04/02/2018 07:47

I've to get to church this morning and ds has First communion prep after. He's also coughing. I think we'll just go to the class.

Bowerbird5 · 04/02/2018 07:54

Yeah I joined in that for a bit when I was feeling really miserable. It made me feel a bit better to know others weren't getting over it either. I have had it since about the 10 th December. GP reckoned it would go on for another two weeks. Been in A&E twice once all night and last night from 5 pm until midnight. Going for heart trace for 24 hrs. They told me to come straight back if my heart starts irregular beats again, palpitations. It was thumping so hard last Tuesday I could see it😳

How are you feeling this morning Lisette? I' ve been doing bits and pieces but not overdoing it except one day because of DH he realised the next day...I didn't get it of bed. I have been doing some decluttering as it is just sitting sorting. I MADE him help with the bookcase. He is so lazy at times. If it is food associated he is ok but any thing more than loading a dishwasher or push the vacuum around sitting room 2:30mins he doesn't sem to notice or think! Right must get up now!

Lisette40 · 04/02/2018 08:05

I'm much better to be fair Bower. I'm not waking with my throat anymore but not my usually self yet. I'm washing my hands a lot before mild tidying so I don't leave a trace of virus anywhere.

I'm so sorry to hear of your rapid heart rate. I hope they get it sorted.

My dh doesn't really notice things need to be cleaned but is biddable if I point it out. He just doesn't notice things like I do. He loves ironing though and I love cleaning so it's a match made in heaven from my point of view!

Stilllivinginazoo · 04/02/2018 08:11

afreshbest of both worlds,sounds perfectWink

foxessocks · 04/02/2018 08:23

Lots of stuff being done already! I'm feeling a bit lazy, haven't got out of bed yet! Dh took the kids downstairs and bought me a Brew up so I'm just staying here as long as I can get away with...

foxessocks · 04/02/2018 08:24

To do
Swish and swipe both bathrooms
Meal plan
Food shop online
Stuff from my ongoing to do list (didn't do any anti procrastination yesterday as too busy but think I'm going to keep up with it next week too)

Afreshcuppateaplease · 04/02/2018 09:44

Omg. The bickering in this house is ridiculous. Angry

Cagliostro · 04/02/2018 10:31

Sympathies afresh my heart just sinks when the DCs are in a mood

Take it steady poorly ones!

Cagletini is ok today, it’s mostly nighttime it flares up, I am still thinking of seeing a pharmacist later though. I’m not sure that a doctor is necessary. I am feeling slightly wheezy myself now but nothing major.

Cagliostro · 04/02/2018 10:37

Also ugggh at drunks in a&e. I was in on a Friday night when Cagletini was 23 days old (for me, but they let me take her as EBF) - luckily I got a bed quite quickly but then a drunk guy walked right into my bay, staring into carrycot etc. Kept following nurses around too. It was horrible, he also kept bugging the receptionist while waiting for a taxi, and kept sitting next to me while I was waiting for mine etc. I was just glad I’d finished feeding baby by the time he turned up, I’m not shy about feeding discreetly but he was really pervy. He wasn’t even injured or anything just randomly there. Felt so sorry for the staff, it was clearly a regular occurrence. Nurses aren’t paid nearly enough considering the shit they have to put up with.

On a lighter note I am getting up now. Realised we also need bread and milk so will head into town later. Not sure about lunch though.

HillsBesideTheSea · 04/02/2018 11:13

Today is brought to you by poor life choices about going to bed/sleep last night.

Also thanks bower i forgot I need to make birthday cake

Renew your spirit = lounging around in pjs? I wish

Ta-dah
Laundry on
Pushed DD into shower - then she spent almost an hour in there! Wonder what's causing the damp problem Hmm
Swish & swipe
Dry laundry away
15 min declutter in bedroom
Ironing (yesterday's batch)

Threw out very unsubtle hints to DH that he should do some cooking so it looks like curry tonight

Cagliostro · 04/02/2018 15:21

My renewing spirit thing was somewhat unexpected. Caglets invited to a friend for the afternoon so I tied in a trip to the pharmacy (thank goodness she is old enough for tixylix now) with a quick, blissfully quiet pizza and ice cream :o Cagletini slept through, I'll have to wake her when we get home mainly because my boobs hurt

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 04/02/2018 18:25

Oh that’s fab Cag.

I want my washing machine to work again.

That is all.
