Order, Order! Do you have a little house of horrors? Welcome to the October Flylady thread where we follow the Flylady method for keeping our houses in order (along with some general chat and support). The monthly focus for October is paper clutter

I'll be posting links to the daily missions, daily focus and the zone cleaning - don't worry about the detailed zone cleaning if you haven't already decluttered, Flylady recommends decluttering first. Join us at any point this month

What a day. Have felt tearful today and cried because ds woke up when I transferred him from the car earlier . Dd talked a bit more today about people dying and where do they go. She said she didn't want to eat cakes in case she dies...she is a bright little thing and I think she has connected cake being unhealthy and unhealthy meaning possibly dying , its all very confusing . Anyway I did my best to reassure her and she seems less bothered this afternoon.

I really just want to have the rest of the day off parenting! We are going out this evening and I'm tempted to ask dh to take the kids on his own.

Haven't done any flying except put the dishwasher on.

They live like pigs....(sorry piggies.bet you are cleaner than my filthy tribe.feral.no other words for it)

Bag up anything looks or smells dirty=1 large load towels(explains why i had a frickin hand towel to dry myself after a shower today...that was fun thank god for hairdryers i say)
2loads darks
1load lights
1load whites so grey they are now soaking in vat napisan(my ma bless her wouldve binned them but i gonna try revive them.i cant be doing with chewing gum whites....
Beds made(as wash pile huge for now been fabreezed into whiffy submission with there cards marked for hot washes asap)
Removed obvious rubbish and swept rest into heaps approx 1-2 ft high(quite wide) fir zoolet sorting.i will set timer and they have 30 mins to bin or put away or whole lots in black bin when timer goes
I have approx 25-30 plastic drink bottles with varying levels on contents which they can empty n put into recycling afterschool

I have partial floors(buried presumed lost) in both rooms and with windows open and beds fabreezed the unsavoury stench of unwashed teens evaporating...
(No wonder all the cats have been breaking into my room to sleep((strickly forbidden)).even they have higher standards)

Scrubs hands and flops down for a drink and a breather.bit wheezy tbh aftwr all that!

zoo great list! And thanks I will do. Feeling a little better now I've acually got up and done something!

Attempted to plan rest of week (but things are obviously a bit up in the air with funeral plans / visiting relatives etc so my plans are changeable...)

Thank you Handygarrottes today is doing good too. Have done part of dining room. Have decided to leave doing mater bedroom this week as the builders coming to give us a quote on Thursday so rather than put all clutter in the attic just to bring it back down we've decided to store it in our bedroom as whilst isn't great it;s the least inconvenient option.

T&T sweets ready, started Halloween decor. Have big part of dining room to do but I can always finish bits this evening if needed.

Thank you for your company this month lovely ladies, it's been fun reading your achievements, seeing your PHOTOS and sharing the hugs pointy stick of motivation when necessary.

I will join you on the new thread in the safe hands of SC/Handy and I'm looking forward to November. Once it's one minute past midnight here, it's the official run down to Christmas. Get the Buble on singing those carols, you know you want to!
