Order, Order! Do you have a little house of horrors? Welcome to the October Flylady thread where we follow the Flylady method for keeping our houses in order (along with some general chat and support). The monthly focus for October is paper clutter

I'll be posting links to the daily missions, daily focus and the zone cleaning - don't worry about the detailed zone cleaning if you haven't already decluttered, Flylady recommends decluttering first. Join us at any point this month Glitterball

I'll post the first October links tonight!

oh and I forgot - make cakes for friend's birthday

stressy I always end up apologising to dd at bed time - something about them looking all cute and sleepy when you finally get them into bed and then all the guilt comes rushing in!!! I don't remember my parents doing that - I do think maybe I'm a bit of a soft touch, glad it isn't just me haha!

I achieved my to do list today Halloween Grin

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 25/10/2017 20:18

Hello all. Fantastic news zoo SmileSmileSmile. Definitely not just you with the apologising foxes! I agree re. half term as well, often things are a bit quieter. Still great thread leading Cotswold. V, impressive list for that early SC/HG. Big wing flaps to all especially Cag.

Ta da:-
DH was off today and we had a nice day Smile. Went out for coffee and a wander round with DDs, made Xmas cake (DH did, I am a terrible cook, DD2 ‘helped’ and we all stirred it).
DD2 homework nearly done
Felt smug as early bathtime but then DDs played in garden and needed a shower!
Reading

Still some grumpiness at times from DDs but I think that is life with children and DD2 likes to test boundaries Grin.

All in all a nice day thanks to DH being off and in a productive mood - he even washed my car Star.

To do:-
General tidy up
Evening routine
Have glass of Wine
Sort out DD1 party bag plans as some of the stuff from Amazon has not arrived so will have to contact seller then reorder Halloween Angry.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 25/10/2017 20:19

And an awesome to do list it was too, Hills Halloween Grin

HillsBesideTheSea · 25/10/2017 22:06

Has the old rule that the thread leader gets the least done been forgotten? It is a long standing tradition. Shit happens don't worry about it unless it is shit and then you gotta deal cos it smells bad...

Longtime · 25/10/2017 23:13

Tada

3 x washing done and put out (2 x small loads - dd returns to the UK tomorrow so needed doing)
Kitchen sorted and dishwasher on (just finished that now!)
Printed photos for dd’s project
But biggest tada is that the books are finally done!!!

Dh will take them to the accountant in my little car which he has never driven before as I’m taking his to the UK for a week! My mum has a list of things for me to do there so I won’t be completely free of tadas.

Hope cag is ok. My three were in such a hurry to get out (weeks of lying down to stop them) that I forget that most women’s labours are longer than a couple of hours!

To do tomorrow
Halloween decorations from attic into car to take to a friend
Pack
Drive to England!

Waves to everyone, bedtime for me

CotswoldStrife · 25/10/2017 23:55

Safe journey Long, Hills I admire your ethics there so true too, I'm not begging for compliments I admit I've had a rough couple of months on the housekeeping side of things Blush

I think the pop ups might put a few people off tbh me but it's a bit of a waiting game with them. It has changed to advertisement now. zoo hope you are still taking it as easy as possible. Waves to fellow half-termers foxes and stressy

Links next - Cag, we are keeping you in our thoughts.
