Wednesday is Anti-procrastination day - pick a task you have been putting off, roll your sleeves up and get on with it.

We are in Zone 5, The Living Room. Spend 15 minutes decluttering here. If you have finished decluttering here is the detailed cleaning list

Our habit of the month is establishing a Before Bed Routine This is actually a really good habit to develop, as many of us can vouch for.

Did 15 minute declutter living room and got rid of lots of dds comics and a few toys and put some other toys back upstairs.

And just spotted the baby step says I should get enough sleep! Fly lady clearly doesn't know about tiny babies who don't like sleeping!

Grey for helping with the cat. Foxes, stuff like get enough sleep is the Flylady stuff I ignore or it gives me the rage! Yes, not applicable with a tiny baby . DD1 has just woken up now just as I was going to bed.

Hi everyone. Not been posting properly. Everything feels ridiculously busy at the moment. Not done much flying at all.

I talk to a mum at school,that it really.she agreed take lil zoo n Ds to school tom as we have be at mil for 8am as we have heart foundation picking up some furniture and seperate pick up,same charity, of clothes,books etc

We have been through house looking for will,not one,so following paper trails for potential bank accounts.HSBC has 2,we don't know how much,nor can we find out til both dp n silly produce documents of I'd(doing today)then they'll send letters as we had death cert with us.NatWest had 2papertrail.one account closed,the other she was paying £75 a month into account if a man(who they can't tell us who that is).have nationwide yo do today.

I've come to say I decided to put the washing on on a timer, so they'll be ready for me to hang first thing. Right. 4.30 am, imagine the noise a plastic measuring cup makes going round the washing machine drum!!! God, that was painful!!! 2h of that!!! Next time I'll use a blister or something.
I left the window in the living room slightly ajar last night. It was proper freezing when I walked in to make a coffee (sorry, open plan room).
Autumn is here. Soon we'll smell the bonfires. So lovely! We had two very sunny and warm two months in our new flat, getting ready to cosy for the winter now!

zoo I for one don't mind you ranting on here, your going through a tough time as is your poor dh, he is letting off steam at you, he's clearly feeling very upset and confused right now, so please feel free to rant away on here, you need to let off steam somewhere.

Well its an early start in the babble house, dp was up at six, me at 6.45 and kids are just waking up. Ds2 decided at 9pm last night that he needed to do the homework that was set on Friday, and due in today, so hes had to get up earlier to do it, not that he's happy about that.

I haven't looked at to do list yet, will update later.

Zoo Sorry to hear dp has been snapping at you. Death of a close one and the arranging of funerals, etc, is a very stressful time. Just hang in there. Was the marriage certificate her marrying this other guy then? How intriguing. Are you going to try and find out who he is?

Foxes Sorry to hear about the washing machine. Must be a nightmare with a young one and the amount of babygrows they go through. Is it fixable?

Messing around with Mumsnet search feature - have been FLYing since 8th October 2007. Still haven't got beyond Morning and Afternoon routines and shopping list!! I really am so useless.

Ds had a fantastic 10th birthday, he's so happy to have his own laptop and loved the trampolining for his birthday outing.
have just brought him a new desk, he was still using the toddler one we brought in 2006

Middle of the week already, the time is flying.
Have had a relatively productive day so far.

Made Bed and 10 mins whip round in bedroom

Called Inland revenue (procrastination task)
Wrote birth plan (again with the procrastination)
30 mins sort/declutter of drawers in living room.

It's amazing the amount of space that is slowly appearing with all of this gradual decluttering, it feels really really good.

Grey so kind of you to pick up that poor moggy, I'm sure you will have brought a lot of comfort to their owners. Yes this is the first DC, so no way of guessing when they'll decide to arrive!

Zoo sounds like a huge emotional upheaval for your DH and for you,it sounds as though you are being an amazing support to him. for you as you must be feeling shattered.

Celeste not sure if it's fixable yet dh is going to look at it as soon as he can but might not be until the weekend. He's an engineer so he should be able to fix it?! Unless it's totally had it in which case we'll have to get a new one which would be annoying.

We've just got in from a morning shopping. Dd has gone down for a nap and ds is very grumpy for some reason. I have a feeling both children are getting colds they sound a bit bunged up to me. Hopefully I'm wrong though.

Hi, I'm still here! I'm checking the summary every day but not managing to read through the whole thread or post what I've been up to.

Realising how much work it is even just trying to keep on top of things let alone getting everywhere decluttered and sparkling clean. Just the morning routine stuff seems to take forever by the time I've factored in the school run. I'm trying to be disciplined and keep on top of dishwasher/laundry/wiping surfaces in the kitchen, plus spending 15 minutes in the weekly zone each day.

I think my main problem is laziness! And relatively low standards.

Some great anti procrastination going on, well done!

Not for me though! Quick panic tidy this morning before my first pupil, although I did notice there wasn't nearly so much stashing of random crap in bags. More stuff has a proper home so it's definitely improving. Anyway I taught for 2 hours and now need to tidy up the maths stuff as I have someone for piano tonight. And I'll put another wash on. Then need to get DD from Brownies, via the shops for a few bits, then get a taxi back to be in time for piano pupil.

Baby step number twenty nine: schedule some ‘you’ time to continue taking care of yourself FlyLady suggests one of her ‘Pamper Mission’ [meh] Just do something you love just for yourself.

Thursday focus is errand day Any task to be done outside of the home: grocery shopping, tip runs, dry cleaning, doctor appointments, that sort of thing.

A very busy day at work today, but I got in (2h late), fed the menagerie, put the load to dry, emptied the dishwasher, washed some bits by hand, tidied the living/kitchen, about to colapse into bed.

Stash and dash, I knew there was a term for it!

Yes I've done a little bit of my compositions but like with the writing a book and stuff it just languishes in the "should really make more effort" pile. I have finally got my (home ed) blog going though so that's something I registered a year ago

Well we thought the washing machine was fixed but then it broke again! but in the meantime we did get one more load washed!

And I was right about the colds well dd definitely has one anyway. Bless her she can't sleep properly because her nose is so blocked up which means I now have a baby up every few hours and a toddler up every few hours! Dh has been helping too but he has to get up for work at 5am so I'm trying not to disturb him too much. Tomorrow we're going to stay indoors all day and watch TV I think (apart from a very quick trip to the shop for a few supplies)

Oh and I did sort my post out I've just got to actually go to the postbox with them now! Hopefully I can at least do that tomorrow.
