Ok so I have shined my sink
Done school run
Took ds2s forgotten swimming kit in (in time for swimming - last week he borrowed a pair from a helicopter mum who brought an extra set just in case. I am so not in the helicopter crew and am one of those shameful mums whose kids go in late and barely clean)
Cleaned the kitchen side.

Sink has pots in again and I'm just about to do a first order call with one of my reps while dp gets ds3 b'day presents for Sunday. He wants a mini piano? Any idea what this is?

foxessocks · 22/09/2016 14:03

Afternoon all! It's a lovely day where I am in the SE not that I've enjoyed it much as we've been to the shops. As it is errand day I've done a quick shop (which ended up not being that quick as ds needed feeding and then dd needed an emergency wee as soon as we'd all got strapped in in the car. At least she didn't wee in the car though!) . Also met my mum for a coffee and spent some vouchers I had on some new clothes

Ta das
Loaded and unloaded dishwasher
Food shopping

To dos
Put shopping away
Laundry
Ironing
Get dd down for a nap(please!!)
Ring GP again because I forgot to register ds argh how is this back on my to do list!!

Probably loads more but ds has just been sick on me so off to clean up. Sigh. One of those days I think!

Babblehag · 22/09/2016 14:57

Giving up on the mini piano, he's spent up with the other bits he wanted, and I have no idea what it is?
First order call done and she didn't quit...yay!
I think I'm just about done for the day, obviously I'll cook tea, and see what other bits of cleaning I can do whilst floating about, I've got 45 minutes until bags, shoes, coats and boys start filling my house making endless demands and destroying each room of the house as they pass through it.
The dog is chilled out for now but then she'll start raiding the bin as soon as the boys fill it with empty yogurt pots no doubt.
Check in later.

Honu · 22/09/2016 16:29

babblehag dog's task is to lick out yoghurt pots ready for recycling so I don't have to rinse them. Win-win

Babblehag · 22/09/2016 17:15

Honu she shreds them up for the bin men too, I think she's trying to lower my carbon footprint.

So I fell on to the bullet journal thread, I already have a bullet journal, in a fashion except its not as erm organised or kept up to date or used as much as the ladies over there do, and then they suggested looking at pinterest and oooooohhhh my god, I need a new bullet journal for xmas for sure!!!

foxessocks · 22/09/2016 17:50

ooh what's a bullet journal? Feel like I'm missing out on all sorts of things, I can't keep up!

ta das
Unloaded and loaded dishwasher again (had a roast last night so lots of dishes!!)
Took stuff upstairs
Put shopping away
Sorted our parcel ready to return to shop
Did 15 mins ironing and put clothes away
Laundry away and more on
some washing up
put some more clothes in the bag ready for charity shop

DS finally asleep - he has been awake most of the day and was getting very grumpy!

DD and DH are making dinner so I'm having a cup of tea and a sit down.

DD has nursery tomorrow and after Monday's crying I am not looking forward to it...I really hope she goes off happily tomorrow because it's heartbreaking!

Greymalkin · 22/09/2016 18:01

Posting links early as I suspect DS is going to make bedtime difficult tonight and I doubt I'll have any energy left to do stuff afterwards!!

Links for Friday 23rd September: Here is the Flight Plan which will update daily and give you an overall summary.

Here is the Launch Pad with all the basic information and links to relevant areas of the site.

Baby step number twenty three: add an afternoon routine into your daily routines If you have a control journal / app etc, include it here too.

The focus for Fridays is to declutter your purse, handbag and car day

We are in Zone 4, The Master Bedroom aka, The Boudoir. Spend 15 minutes decluttering here. If you have finished decluttering here is the detailed cleaning list

The last mission in the Boudoir this week is to clear the clutter from the top of your dresser/chest of drawers

Our habit of the month is establishing a Before Bed Routine This is actually a really good habit to develop, as many of us can vouch for.

And a little bonus feature for this month: FlyLady's back to school tips

foxessocks its no doubt another way for me to use as an excuse to procrastinate, but its a system to organise yourself, although I can see it being a very easy way to waste time too. but some people swear by it, its just stopped me from hunting down all of my notebooks for various things, because everything is in that one.

Stilllivinginazoo · 22/09/2016 19:35

Hi guys.just checking in.I helped out at mums n tots(for my baby/small people fix)today.I made a salt dough alien with a little girl who starts big school next weekGrin
Inner child satisfied I took lil zoo physio(is that a errand?)she gas more exercises and a letter for pe teacher asking if she can rest halfway thru lesson and do her exercises fir a bit then join in again at the end if she still pain free.
Found dp just leaving visiting his mum so we all came back together. We need to discuss possibility if her going home n him taking care of her there.it's around 30mins on foot away,so I said I could come help on the day while zoolets at school.McMillan are saying its weeks not months left, but dp doubtful be that long as today she's not really lucid.he's gone to bed already bless him, mentally exhausted and keeps look like needs a good cry but blinks it away....
Tadas
Made tea fir lil ones
Pick up dd2from confirmation class at vicarage
Give dd2 snack n give general comments on choice outfit she wearing to go out(she's been invited to help with the planning of a countywide meet up of kids that attend faith groups.she's been to the meet ups twice and loves them as its a really nice social affair with ice breaker games, prayers, food n activity's with like minded othersSmile.
Washed up

Am now debating whether to apply face to large bar if chocolate, pile cheese sarnys and crisps, or both.....

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 22/09/2016 21:25

Hi all, not done much flying today (work day) and have just eaten tea and feeling as if I can't face doing much. Have managed to sort through some of DD1's books at least.

To do:
Dishwasher etc
Quick 15 mins before bed routine
Collapse in PJs and watch telly

Will fly tomorrow! Have busy day "off"'planned.

Flowers to everyone who needs them.

Cagliostro · 22/09/2016 22:28

Hi all :)

No time to fly today as it was a busy day for the Caglets (trampolining for both then rock climbing/gymnastics, then St. John Ambulance) and I had a piano lesson

Now have to tidy up as have some friends coming over for the first time tomorrow

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeG0es · 22/09/2016 23:49

Tried reading through but struggling to keep up!

Zoo, so sorry to read about your MIL Flowers

Celeste - are you bleaching away again now? Smile

Foxes - I started a bullet journal about 6 months ago and it took quite a while to get the hang of it but I wouldn't be without it now. I haven't added much Flylady stuff to it yet but it is definitely helping in general life organisation. I've been doing Flylady on and off for years and never got going with a control journal.

Well, my new term routines are holding up well. Evening is clear downstairs floors, swish and swipe, laundry away and bags ready for the morning. Morning is washing on, run cordless vac round downstairs, mop kitchen floor (squirty mop) and wipe bath and basin over again. This has meant that on any given day I could have had visitors and not needed to clean beforehand, I've never maintained these habits for this long before.

On the body clutter front I have admitted defeat and joined Slimming World. One week in, 4lb down, a lot more to go.

8FencingWire · 23/09/2016 04:11

I think I ought to write Thursday evenings off, really, I'm so tired by Thursday!!!
I cooked last night, put everything in the DW, wiped surfaces, did a load of washing and hung it to dry then collapsed in bed!!!

Salutarychoring · 23/09/2016 08:16

Good morning all!

Ta da from yesterday:
meeting with solicitor done
drop baking tin off at friend's house done
banking done
finance letters NOPE
prep dh's shirts for washing done (and washed and hung up)
pack up parcels some
dog training done
French done
power walk done
make chick pea/pepper/tom/fennel stew thing (veggie Thurs) done
carry on with clothes decluttering a bit
more laundry done
diet chart NOPE
find and re-active pedometer NOT YET but have found box that it is in!
find "walking for fitness" book - will do today
boudoir - A BIT!

So carrying the "undone" things through to today. But doubt will have a lot of time as have school mass this morning (celebrating new academic year) followed by hospital appt. Bit disappointed because dh said he would try to be be with me for appt but of course he is away travelling. And I was even more pissed off to discover when talking to him on the phone just now that his idea of being "back for the weekend" is getting off one trans Atlantic flight and spending Sat evening here to basically sleep and pack and then leaving again at the crack of sparrows Sunday morning, not returning until Thurs. Loads of things planned for this w/e - looks like dd and I will be doing them alone - again. That's not the end of the world- just wish he would communicate properly so I could put plans in place!! Plus it is a national holiday here on Tues (schools off) and dh will be missing that too. Harrumph!

Oh well, I suppose I have the "gyrating gnome" to look forward to on the altar this morning Grin. (Fort those of you unsure Smile he's a monk with a Jimi Hendrix complex.)

Hello to Babblehag (forgive my middle aged brain but were you here before under a different nn? - Sorry if you have already mentioned this and I missed it).

Grey that's great news about the potty success!! Star to mini-Malkin!

Your poor dp Still Flowers

Well done for keeping up with the routines Toostressy and Fencingwire despite demanding days

Whoknows Wow your new routines sound amazing!! Daily hoovering and kitchen floor mopping!! (My floors are lucky if they get done twice a week!!) Must be fantastic to have that "can invite anyone in at any time feeling" though! Congratulations, congratulations Star!! You have officially banished C.H.A.O.S.!!

I am ashamed to say that I looked at the bullet journal thing and was either too thick or too impatient to get to grips with it Blush.

Didn't know you had a furry Honu!! Smile (Wish mine would do something useful!!)

Sounds like a great curriculum Cag! Smile

Foxes hope your dd has a better day at nursery today and that you have a less stressful day too!

Furble I am not sure I should be a source of inspiration as I am 3 stone overweight currently and expanding by the minute! Blush Trying to eat less and walk more atm!

Yay, great to see you Cotswold!

Waves to blue Shannara, Fromeastowest, Celeste Toffee, Pontification PaulineFowlers YippeeTeenager Dogsbum PinkoneblueoneOutputgap JustPeachy and loads of others I am sure I have missed!

Happy Flying one and all!

foxessocks · 23/09/2016 09:29

Dd dropped off at nursery and she didn't cry! She still looked a bit anxious but she found the dry pasta table and started playing ...I feel much better!

I need to do some cleaning asap this morning as we've got friends coming over for lunch (although they are bringing toddlers with them so house will be messy again very quickly!)

celeste83 · 23/09/2016 09:55

Morning everyone,

Lots of busy lists here everyone Smile

Thanks for the get well wishes. Still feels a bit sore at times, ironically when i sit down for 5 minutes, but all in all feeling much better.

I know what you mean about children fast growing v new clothes salutary. ds here has outgrown his winter jacket over the summer so we need to get him a new one this weekend. Its defo gone down in temp here a notch this week especially at nights. No windows left open at night anymore. Your dh sounds quite the jet setter. I hope the hospital appointment goes well.

Sorry to hear of the car situation cots. I hate cars and they seemingly hate me. I find they have an amazing ability to breakdown at times when money is short Angry

It will be good for mil to return home zoo Much better to see out her days in her own home than in the hospital.

Whoknows Yes my bleach challenge ended last week Smile I would however like to nominate Zoo to do a week without bleach down the loo, and yourself too whoknows Grin

I didn't get much done yesterday apart from the very basics so need to catch up but its a lovely blue sky Autumn morning here. I want to go up town and get my Dad a birthday pressie but ds is still in his pj's under the duvet on the sofa [such a lazy boy] I can see my chores running into the weekend.

Ta das

made beds
washed dishes
put some washing on

Babblehag · 23/09/2016 10:06

salutarychoring yes I was under gossipwitch back then, but then I figured my real life friends might recognise it as its also my psn name and many other things. I'm having a very jumbled morning this morning and even forgot my meds, (took them now).
Tada
took ds3 to bus stop
dropped off one order and collected a few books in.
made copius amounts of coffee and realised I have forgot to go to ds3's harvest festival.
Todo
weekly food shop
deliver orders
collect books
redeliver books to collect on Monday
get wrapping paper and cards for ds3
shine sink and try to get more bits done!!

Feeling really crap today, especially since missing little ones assembly. And motivation is very low. On the plus side its sunny and dp isn't working tonight.

foxessocks · 23/09/2016 10:43

Ta das
Dishwasher loaded unloaded
Washing on
Washing hung up
Tidied living room floor
Quick mop in kitchen
Quick clean of bathroom
Quick tidy bedrooms
Put some shoes in a bag for the charity shop

To dos
Declutter bag purse and car (not sure I'll get time but definitely need to do this!)
Cook dinner later - have got chicken drumsticks out so will need to find the motivation to do something with them...am thinking coat them with honey and serve with mash and parsnips?!
Some more shoes to go in charity bag
Sort through ds clothes as he has already grown out of a lot!
Take clothes to the charity shop!!
Ring GP - this will never be off my list!!

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 23/09/2016 11:07

Zoo, I'm a health care professional. It is really lovely that your DP wants to look after his mum at home and that you want to support him. As I'll sure you know though, it can be extremely difficult both logistically and emotionally. Flowers If you or your DP need help or of it's not working out at home then it's ok to ask for that help. You need to look after yourselves so you can look after her. Hope it's ok to post that, I couldn't not!

Will post my lists in a bit.

Furble · 23/09/2016 13:01

Afternoon All,
Gorgeous autumn weather here today so have got windows all open and heading out for a walk shortly.

Ta-das
Two loads washing done and hung
Two loads dry washing put away
Bed made
Dishwasher loaded and on
Car 15 mins declutter
Chilli con carne made for tea tonight
Midwife appt
Supermarket shop and put away
Tops of dressers in bedroom clear

To-do
Walk into town and buy birthday card and wrap for nephew
Call insurance for DH
Unload dishwasher
Washing up
Strip bed
15 mins declutter in bedroom

Got a house load of boys descending on me this evening for the whole weekend, BIL, DSS, and nephew. Really hoping for a peaceful weekend and to not go into labour whilst they're all here! I may have to hide in my bedroom if it all gets a bit much! Meals are planned and prepped so I've done the majority of the work already.

whoknows V inspired by your morning routine. Would you recommend your cordless vac and squirty mop? If so which brands do you use? My trusty dust buster has recently died so have been toying with the idea of a cordless vac for a while.

Wishing productive days for all and enjoyable weekends ahead!

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 23/09/2016 13:40

Blimey, good luck for the weekend *

On Friday mornings I have a blissful few hours to myself while DD2 at preschool so...

Ta das:
Car MOTd and serviced and picked up
Been to bank
Cheques written and posted
Some books and a pair of shoes decluttered to charity
Small bit of work admin
Bought some pencil cases to organise the DDs art stuff
Birthday card bought

To do:
DD2 has a nursery thing
Pick DD1 up from school
Go to child's birthday party (not looking forward to this one, after school and involves a drive in rush hour)
Before bed routine
Declutter
Order part for scooter

Hope everyone is having some nice weather.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 23/09/2016 13:41

Sorry the good luck was to Furble (and anyone else who needs it)!

PaulineFowlersGrowler · 23/09/2016 15:09

Things have been pretty lax in the Fowler household, not much flying going on. After my mad energetic week I burnt out, my health is shit again and I've just got no energy. I have been reading everyone's amazing ta da lists though, and it motivates me to get up and just do 5 minutes. Still shining my sink every night though, and I make sure the kitchen table is clean and clear, it feels so much nicer to come down to the kitchen in the morning, and it only takes a few minutes. I start my new meds tonight, feeling nervous but optimistic.

Today's ta das
Packed lunches done
Load of washing done and hung out
Went to hospital to collect meds
Dishwasher emptied and reloaded

Today's to dos
Make dinner
Put washing away
15 minute bedroom declutter
Hoover and mop playroom
Collapse On the couch.

Wishing everyone a lovely relaxing/productive weekend!
