The old thread has maxed out due to us being so busy cleaning so here is the new thread.

Hi handbags, nice to see you back. How's the baby?

I feel all weird today, the two middle dc went on holiday with my parents last night for two weeks so I just have the eldest and youngest at home. Toddler is still asleep and ds is in the shower getting ready for school and it is so quiet! I don't know what to do with myself...

I've already tidied the beds, put the washer on, washed any dirty dishes and wiped over the kitchen. I have nothing else to do now apart from sit and wait for the toddler to wake up. Very strange.

Anyway, other jobs bat need doing are:

  • pick up toddler's medicine from chemist
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing and stairs
  • wipe over upstairs bathroom
  • dust bedrooms

I think that's about it for today. I wonder how easy it will be to keep the house clean with just the two dc here as opposed to four.

Hi Handbags, good to see you back. Hope alls well with mini-handbag?

Today i need to bltiz the kitchen. Hate cleaning the kitchen. Rather clean a bathroom than a kitchen.

Can I join? Find it hard to keep on top of things house wise and you lot seem to have a good attitude to cleaning! And you sound fun😀

celeste83 · 22/06/2016 21:16

Good evening everyone and welcome puppydog. I've done naff all again today, went to visit my sister this morning, picked up toddler's meds and then sat on my backside this afternoon. Nice, quiet day for me! Tomorrow I need to stop being a lazy moo though and need to:

  • tidy beds
  • wash breakfast dishes
  • sweep throughout downstairs
  • wipe over both bathrooms
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing and stairs
  • dust bedrooms
  • dust and polish living room
  • get docs together and take to new employers
  • vote
  • washing
  • fold and put away clean washing (today's stuff is still in the dryer - told you I'd been lazy!)
  • clean sister's house (this may be bumped to Friday dependent on what time Dh gets home from work to watch the toddler)
puppydogmummy · 23/06/2016 07:19

Had an unexpected day off yesterday due to sick puppydog so took advantage of good weather and got two lots of bed clothes washed and dried, kitchen tidied and two bathrooms cleaned . Pup feeling but better in afternoon so had a lovely walk. These unexpected days at home can be very productive!

willhazboz · 24/06/2016 09:17

I managed to clean the bathroom and brush and mop on Tuesday! Very happy. Yesterday I did laundry etc and obviously the basics:
Dishwasher
Handwashing
Make tea
Clear up
Wipe surfaces

Hi handbags! You are doing well...I'm still just about managing to not descend into squalor!
Welcome puppydog.Smile

Afreshstartplease · 24/06/2016 10:06

About to start a three day cleanathon

Pleaseeeee motivate me and help me keep going

Today is my day with the least amount of children under my feet so hopefully be productive

Afreshstartplease · 24/06/2016 10:52

recycling out
hoover empty
empty washer
Finish pots
Worktops 2 of 3 done
Dry washing up
bleach down both toilets
Sort shoe basket
Washer on
Clean out pets
Empty bin
Hoover stairs
Sweep kitchen
Mop kitchen

Kim82 · 24/06/2016 17:30

Hi everyone, I've been slightly less lazy today and have done:

  • tidy beds
  • fed cats twice and cleaned area where they eat
  • 3 loads of washing
  • folded and put away all dry washing
  • been to sainsburys
  • washed dishes and wiped over kitchen
  • swept kitchen
  • tidied living room
  • cleaned my sister's house from top to bottom

Still to do:

  • sweep hall and living room
  • order takeaway for tea

I might also mop the floors dependent on how soon the toddler goes to bed.

It feels so weird today, we only have the toddler here til tea time tomorrow as Ds has gone to his dad's for the night and the other two girls are on holiday with my parents. It is far too quiet and I keep feeling like there is something I should be doing rather than sitting on the sofa...

Kim82 · 24/06/2016 17:35

Oh, I also need to fold and put away one more load of washing once it's dry and stick the last load into the dryer.

Afreshstartplease · 24/06/2016 17:42

Well my good intentions went out of the window

I decided to start painting so have Obv made even more mess, I'm also now bored of painting and Cba finishing it

Kim82 · 24/06/2016 19:05

Nothing wrong with starting the painting fresh, it has to be done at some point right?

I swept and mopped the floors, folded and put away the clean clothes, put another load in the dryer, toddler is in bed, takeaway ordered and now the sofa beckons for the rest of the evening.

Afreshstartplease · 24/06/2016 19:07

I've collapsed on to my bed but need to drag myself up to put the kids to bed

Need to eat

Need to do more of the painting

willhazboz · 24/06/2016 23:40

I've sat at my mums and drank prosecco whilst pretending there is nothing to do at home! Grin Well done on starting painting fresh! Such a boring job!

Afreshstartplease · 25/06/2016 07:02

My spd is awful
It clearly does not like painting
I've broken my crotch

Kim82 · 25/06/2016 07:40

Oh no fresh, take it easy today, no more painting!!

I like your style will, prosecco is much more entertaining than cleaning.

Today's list for me is:

  • strip and remake mine and ds' beds
  • washing
  • fold and put away clean washing
  • wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • dust and polish living room
  • dust bedrooms
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing and stairs
  • clean and mop both bathrooms
  • buy some more cat food
Afreshstartplease · 25/06/2016 07:42

I think I will try and finish the painting Blush then recover tomorrow .... I can't put anything back until it's done

Afreshstartplease · 25/06/2016 08:56

Feeling a bit better now I've been up and moving about a bit, think my pelvis had locked up a bit. Still achey but no more than usual.

So far I have -

Put cushion cases back on
Picked up living room toys
Emptied and reloaded the dryer
Washed half the pots
Emptied the kitchen bin
Wiped down the table and worktops

All while being wailed at by 3 year old dd because she wants an Easter Egg ....

celeste83 · 25/06/2016 09:03

My ds literally had the last bit of chocolate from Easter leftover last weekend. I think i perhaps gave out tiny rations to him hence it lasted so long. I was proud of myself for not eating it in the meantime but i would have felt guilty eating his eggs lol

You've been busy this morning fresh Smile

I have so far put a washing load and washed the dishes and anti bac'd the kitchen worktops

OP posts:
Afreshstartplease · 25/06/2016 09:08

We had near 40 eggs in this house. Plus bags of mini eggs etc. (3DC)

There are still a good few but we try and keep them for after main meals not alongside breakfast ....

Yesterday I painted two walls, they need another coat. I think I'll do that before the other two walls because then two walls are finished and that will hopefully motivate me. Plus it's a small room and it'll be easier if I can put things back on that side

celeste83 · 25/06/2016 09:11

omg lol where on earth do you even store 40 eggs? Shock

OP posts:
Afreshstartplease · 25/06/2016 09:15

All out of the cardboard and plastic containers and stuck in bags for life lol

Next year there will be four DC! Little one will be 6 months at Easter so not really big enough for eggs but I bet he ends up with some!

One of the DC is dairy intolerant too so can't eat the normal eggs ....

Kim82 · 25/06/2016 09:36

Okay, housework won't be happening as we've decided to take the toddler to the zoo instead. I'll ask Ds to do the hoovering while we're out and I'll do some of the other stuff when we get back if I can be bothered.

Afreshstartplease · 25/06/2016 09:38

Urgh I love the zoo green with envy
