Cleaning motivation thread - Summer 2016

The old thread has maxed out due to us being so busy cleaning so here is the new thread.

Doing quite well today so far:
First lot of washing hung out to dry
Cleaned bathroom
Decluttered several junk draws/cupboards/nooks and crannies in house ahead of move in 5 weeks.

Morning! Didn't manage to brush and mop yesterday so that's bumped to today. I have a few hours with just the baby today (toddler going to grandparents) so hopefully will get more done!
Today:
Handwashing done first load will have more later
Dishwasher put in just needs emptying
Get petrol done
Get fruit top up from shop done
Change towels
Put load of kids washing on
See if there's enough for a darks wash

Dd1 fell asleep on the way back from petrol station so sat on my drive again!

Hi everyone, it looks like a couple of you have had busy days. All I have done is tidy my sister's house, pick flea treatment and dd's meds up, make tea and clean the kitchen afterwards. Dh, however, has done two loads of washing and hung it out, mowed the lawn, tidied up everywhere in the house, folded and put away the washing, taken Ds to the orthodontist and organised and put away a load of crap from on top of the kitchen cupboards so it looks nice and tidy in there now. He's a good'un at times.

I did everything in my list other than towels. I also:
Dusted and hoovered living room
Hoovered stairs landing and bedroom
Brushed and mopped
Made tea
Cleared up
More handwashing

Brilliant Kim! Wish mine would do that!

Afternoon all, what a change in the weather here it's miserable and damp!
I checked the forecast last night and it was to be dry until tonight so I hung more washing out!

When I get home
Tend to dd who's choked with cold then I'll start my housework and I may even have a nana nap this afternoon

Do dishes
Clean kitchen
Clean bathroom
Dust living room
Hoover everywhere
Prepare tea
Write shopping list

Hi all - well Iv managed to keep on top of things - on top with washing and pots - dish washer to unload latter and pack up . Tomowow husbands off so he's getting my to do list .sunday again basics as family day
Any good plans for the weekend ?

Ive done naff all again today apart from the basics. That means I have a huge list for tomorrow. Ah well!

I actually have plans this weekend too for a change. I'm off out for dinner and the cinema tonight with my sisters and tomorrow we are child free and have friends coming round to watch the football and have a few drinks in the garden. We'll probably put the fire pit on when it gets a little cooler too. Should be fun!

Hi all just found the new thread , I've been posting on the crisis cleaning thread this week but it's quieter than this one

Last night I made a start on the bedroom so I

Cleared and wiped bedside tables and window sill
Changed bedding
Sorted some clothes
Took out rubbish
Took out a couple of stray cups and glasses

I would like to fully finish it today but dp has been on nights so needs to sleep. If I do get round to it the list is -

Hoover
Sort rest of clothes
Wipe TV down
Sort through shoes

Morning everyone, I've a long list for today but doubt I'll start it until later when Dh takes the toddler to his mum's for the night (yay!). Today I need to:

• strip and remake all 5 beds
• washing
• fold and put away clean washing
• pack an overnight bag for dd3
• tidy bedrooms
• dust bedrooms
• Hoover bedrooms, landing and stairs
• clean and mop both bathrooms
• wash dishes and wipe over worktops
• empty kitchen bins
• clean out cat litter
• tidy living room
• sweep and mop throughout downstairs
• dust and polish living room
• clean windows throughout house
• go to sainsburys for almond milk, lime cordial and drinks for tonight
• bathe toddler
• make sure other kids shower

Morning all its another dull day today!

That's one long list skivvy! You'll definitely be busy today. I've made a small start and have put the washer on, bathed and dressed the toddler, cut her nails and have also finally pinned down the cats to put their monthly flea treatment on. Dd2 is currently in the shower so it's time for a tea break.

Busy day here preparing for my grandson's 1st Birthday party/BBQ next weekend. We offered to gave it here as dd's house is fairly small.

Unloaded dishwasher
Cleaned kitchen and decluttered/tidied.
Swept floor
Swept hall and living room.
Cleaned all 3 bathrooms.
Pressure washed patio and garden chairs.
2 loads of laundry washed dried and folded.
Decluttered dining table dumping ground.
Planted up pots out the front and hung hanging baskets!

Hi everyone. I got my list done yesterday and got the house sparkly clean. It lasted about 2 hours before friends descended for our football party and it was a state when I got up this morning. I had the hangover from hell so went back to bed and when I got up the second time Dh had cleaned it all up and it was back to being lovely and clean. Result!

Tomorrow's list will be:

• tidy beds
• wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen
• washing
• fold and put away clean washing
• sweep and mop floors
• go to Costco for water and cat food
• go to sainsburys for almond milk and teabags
• ring the vets and book in the big cat, he's got gammy eyes

Think that'll do.

Hi everyone. Its been scorchio and sunny here today so been outside making the most it I have however managed to:

• bleached the loo in the bathroom
• cleaned the bath
• some ironing

Also need to pop into town and get a birthday present for my Auntie, and get Fathers Day presents. Also need to pop into Wilkos and stock up on bin bags, dettol, loo cleaner, bleach, handwash, washing up liquid, loo roll, washing up liquid.
