The old thread has maxed out due to us being so busy cleaning so here is the new thread.

Hi, I'm back from work and dh has done plenty cleaning. He's hoovered top to bottom, tidied all the bedrooms, hung the washing out, washed the dishes and cleaned the kitchen.

All I need to do is clean the bathrooms and go shopping. I may also need to dust, I can't tell from where I'm sitting whether he has dusted or not (doubt it). I need to eat first though.

Afreshstartplease · 25/08/2016 08:08

He sounds like a good one Kim!

Yesterday my dp moved the three pop cans, two glasses and a cup that he had been holding on his bedside table for two weeks. I have mentally given him a sticker.

Morning everyone. My dh is usually like yours fresh, I was shocked when I got in and he'd done so much! He's not done anything since, sadly!

So far today I have:

  • tidied beds
  • washed dishes and wiped over kitchen
  • sorted out the toddler and taken her to nursery.

Still to do:

  • go to Costco
  • clean and mop both bathrooms
  • dust living room
  • clean living room mirror
  • iron work clothes

All washing was done yesterday so I've none left to do today, I just need to fold and put away the bed covers still in the dryer.

Work at 1pm for me so I've got this morning to get my stuff done.

Morning,

Gdaw Kim you always manage to cram so much into a short amount of time. I bet you tick off all those tasks before you head off to work!

So far today i have:

made beds
washed dishes
tidied ds room
put some washing on

Still need to hoover round downstairs and dust/polish. House is not looking too bad at the moment ready for the long bank holiday weekend Smile

Neither has mine Kim ....

I slept badly and am very slow today

I've done two loads of washing, put one in the dryer and about to hang the other outside. Stripped DC1s bed. And that's it

Afreshstartplease · 27/08/2016 08:57

Another shit night thanks to dd being up from 4, plus back ache and lower bump ache. Shattered.

However my kitchen is about a quarter clean/tidy

I have (somehow)

Emptied dryer and washer
Wet washing on line or in dryer
Cleared two worktops and wiped them down
Fed the DC
Cleaned the draining board and put away dry pots

Need to

Finish pots
Reload washer
Clear and clean table
Sort the dry washing and send to the right rooms

Morning, sorry you had a crappy night fresh, I didn't get much sleep either. I picked dh up from a friend's house at 1am then couldn't get to sleep til almost 2, dd3 woke at 3.20am (very unusual), ds woke me when he got up for work at 6 and then the garage at the back of the house woke me when all the lorries engines started up around 7am so I gave up and got up, had a nice quiet brew and sat in silence til the kids got up at 8.15am. I've done nothing yet though, the toddler has decided she wants to wear knickers so I've done a thousand trips to the toilet with her (seriously, she's going about every 15-20 minutes!). I've plenty to do today but can't get my brain in gear enough to think of a list yet, I'll write one in a bit.

Afreshstartplease · 27/08/2016 09:27

How old is your toddler Kim? It's good she's enthusiastic! My dd toilet trained so easy compared to my boys! And about 18 months earlier too! Even now she's the one I trust the most not to wet the bed as the others will have occasional accidents if tired or too many drinks before bed!

Just finished my cuppa so I'll crack on I think

Kim82 · 27/08/2016 09:46

She's two years and one month so still quite young yet. She did this the other day then after her nap point blank refused to use the toilet again so we'll see how she goes today.

I've still not moved off the sofa yet, think I'll make some toast soon though, I'm feeling so lazy today!

Afreshstartplease · 27/08/2016 09:58

Dd was not much older than that Kim, and TBH we stalled doing it slightly because of going on holiday! She also managed day and night dryness at the same time, and in over a year has only had three accidents at night all when she has been unwell. I was amazed TBH because my boys took forever!

Finish pots
Reload washer
Clear and clean table
Sort the dry washing and send to the right rooms

Plodding on!

Kim82 · 30/08/2016 16:32

Hi everyone, I've been a lazy moo all weekend and have done hardly anything. I was at work from 8-2 today so when I finished I:

  • picked dd2 up from town
  • put petrol in car
  • washed dishes
  • wiped over kitchen
  • cleaned and mopped both bathrooms (they were seriously grim!)
  • loaded the washer ready to turn on when dd3 gets back from nursery
  • tidied the landing and brought all washing downstairs
  • swept kitchen

Quick brew break then I need to:

  • fold and put away clean washing
  • dust and polish living room
  • clean living room mirror
  • sweep living room and hall floor
  • mop throughout downstairs
  • pick 2 year old up from nursery
  • put washer on
  • make tea
  • clean up afterwards
  • empty kitchen bins
  • bathe 2 year old

I also need to do a food shop. I might do it later but if not I'll leave that and do it tomorrow morning.

Kim82 · 30/08/2016 17:03

Jobs now done:

  • picked dd2 up from town
  • put petrol in car
  • washed dishes
  • wiped over kitchen
  • cleaned and mopped both bathrooms (they were seriously grim!)
  • loaded the washer ready to turn on when dd3 gets back from nursery
  • tidied the landing and brought all washing downstairs
  • swept kitchen
  • fold and put away clean washing (dh did this one)
  • dust and polish living room
  • clean living room mirror
  • sweep living room and hall floor
  • mop throughout downstairs

Still to do:

  • pick 2 year old up from nursery
  • put washer on
  • make tea
  • clean up afterwards
  • empty kitchen bins
  • bathe 2 year old

I'm off to pick up from nursery.

Kim82 · 30/08/2016 19:39

All jobs done apart from bathing toddler, she was an overtired mess so I'll give her a bath in the morning instead.

Tomorrows jobs:

  • tidy beds
  • wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • bath toddler
  • clean out fridge
  • write shopping list
  • go to Aldi
  • tidy and dust bedrooms
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing and stairs
  • washing (think there's at least 3 loads to do)
  • fold and put away clean washing

I'm determined to get back on top of the housework, the kids go back to school next week so that should help massively. I am so ready to get back into a routine, I can't wait!
