The old thread has maxed out due to us being so busy cleaning so here is the new thread.

Yay company!

Bath was good, helps the spd although only briefly!

First wash load and first dry load have just finished so I'm going to sort those out first

Karcheer · 13/08/2016 10:05

I'm joining in, as per my thread yesterday the house is a tip and this won't make a huge difference but it's a start. Just having toast and coffee then I'll start.

Kim82 · 13/08/2016 10:35

I'm here too. We have family coming over this afternoon and the house is a shit tip yet again. I need to:

  • tidy beds
  • Hoover and dust bedrooms
  • Hoover landing and stairs
  • clean and mop both bathrooms
  • tidy and dust living room
  • wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • washing
  • tidy hall
  • sweep and mop throughout downstairs
  • make sure all kids are bathed/showered as they're grubby little buggers (luckily I only need to assist with the youngest, the others can sort themselves out) two down, two to go

I'm going to have a quick shower and get started...

Afreshstartplease · 13/08/2016 11:08

Read your thread karcheer! Think I would cry

Karcheer · 13/08/2016 21:31

House all cleaned as much as I could, and washed all the tiled floors. Also did some coving sanding!

Afreshstartplease · 14/08/2016 11:06

Yesterday afternoon I lost the will to continue and vegged on the sofa I am afraid!

These things remain on the list

Tidy our room
Remake bed
Hoover our room
Wipe bathroom surfaces
Wipe bathroom sink
Wipe bath
Sweep and mop bathroom

So far I have

first wash on
dryer on

celeste83 · 14/08/2016 17:54

Well not much more got done yesterday after swimming and not much has been done today either. I blame the warm and sunny weather. My housework motivation levels go by the way side at the slightest bit of decent weather....this week is forecast to be a cracker too which doesn;t bode well lol.

my list today:

  • stripped the beds
  • put bedding in the wash
  • made the beds
  • put another washing load on
  • washed dishes
Blush

Morning all!

Feeling very well rested or as much as you can at 31weeks pregnant! Think I fell asleep about 945 and didn't have to come down with DC until 745 (even though I was up five times between this for the loo!) This is very good going in this house!

So far I have

Finished last nights pots
Reloaded dryer
Reloaded washer
Filled sink for breakfast pots which DC are just finishing with

The living room is fairly decent but I really need to have a sort out of the toys and organise what should be upstairs and put away what dd is too old for now. Her downstairs books need sorting too and the kallax unit needs going through as its become the dumping ground. One all this is done I may allow myself to put up my pram as I've had it for bloody weeks and resisted!

I need to clean the kitchen first though so off to do that first

Afreshstartplease · 21/08/2016 08:56

Where are you all you messy bunch!?!

First jobs of the day
empty dryer
reload dryer
washer on
Pots
Clear table after breakfast
Clear worktops
Empty bins
Clean hob

JenniferJen · 22/08/2016 09:37

Hi, I haven't been on here for a good year or so,but is it OK if I rejoin your thread?

I have 4 children age 2-8, one with special needs (Severe ASD with some other issues thrown in too, he is entirely non verbal and takes a lot of my time) and another 2 of them are waiting for ASD assessments but more high functioning. Anyway, my point is, there isn't really ever much spare time and if we are home, they tend to make mess quicker than I can clear it. I am working on getting them to help out more, but it's so frustrating.
My other half works 7 days a week (Overtime but need it to pay off the building work we have had done and stuff),

Today's jobs:
Catch up with Laundry
Reload dishwasher
Do DS OT homework
Tidy the garden
Take kids swimming, minus youngest who is going to grandads
Clean out the guinea pigs
hoover downstairs.

celeste83 · 22/08/2016 10:51

Morning Jen and Fresh

I didn't manage to get on here over the weekend, not that much housework got done. I did strip the beds yesterday and do a few loads of laundry though.

put another wash on
washed dishes
emptied kitchen bin
put clothes on the line
made beds
tidied ds room
wiped bathroom and bleached loo

To do:
mop kitchen floor
hoover downstairs
clean downstairs loo
general tidy up

OP posts:
plutoisnotaplanet · 22/08/2016 14:09

Can I join? I'm new to this keeping clean lark (former tip dweller) but staying on top of the tide of grot one day at a time!

This weekend:
Turned the spare junk room into a snazzy craft room
Done a general clean and tidy up and down the whole house

Today I Will:
Finish work without killing anyone
Tidy my kitchen and living room
vac & steam mop my downstairs
Clean my downstairs bathroom
Read 1 chapter of my book before bed!

Kim82 · 22/08/2016 22:27

Hi everyone, I disappeared again - sorry! I've been super busy with the kids being off school, keeping them entertained, buying school uniform and all four of them having their birthdays over the last 4.5 weeks. It's the last birthday today though so I need to get into some semblance of a routine.

Today I managed:

  • washed dishes
  • wiped over kitchen
  • two loads of washing
  • folded and put away clean washing
  • tidied living room
  • bathed the 2 year old
  • loaded the washer ready to turn on in the morning

I spend plenty time with the birthday girl this morning so didn't get a huge amount done but the house looks vaguely presentable:

I was at work from 1pm - 7.30pm so we had takeaway for tea so no cleaning up afterwards.

I'm working 8am-2pm tomorrow so need to get some stuff done in the afternoon. In the morning I need to:

  • tidy beds
  • turn washer on
  • iron work clothes

When I get home:

  • clean out fridge
  • write shopping list
  • go to Aldi
  • put washing in dryer
  • more washing
  • wash dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • dust and polish living room
  • sweep and mop throughout downstairs
  • clean and mop downstairs bathroom
  • fold and put away clean washing
  • book trampolining place for Wednesday.

That'll do for now, if I get that done I might add some more.

Kim82 · 23/08/2016 07:41

Morning everyone. My morning list:

  • tidy beds
  • turn washer on done
  • iron work clothes done

I can't tidy the beds as everyone is still asleep so I'll leave that for dh once they're all awake. I'm off to work now but will do my other list later when I get back.

Afreshstartplease · 23/08/2016 07:44

Morning all

Glad to see the sunshine has returned!

First list

load dryer
Load washer
Wash pots
Clean pets
Empty bins
Worktops
