I need to join this thread!! I have been so unmotivated at the moment. Need a kick up the arse!! Currently getting work done on house hall stairs landing & everywhere downstairs(bar kitchen)plastered new ceilings. This been going on for 5 weeks now & im fed up with the dust!! I'd given up on cleaning altogether!!
But yesterday I decided to do something about it so I
Changed beds
Cleaned & hoovered all 4 bedrooms
Did 3 loads of washing
Cleaned x2 bathroom including floors
Changed door handles on fitted wardrobes - hated old ones!!

So now I have a clean and sparkly upstairs. Can't do anything about the downstairs until work finished so I will try & maintain upstairs in the meantime and get stuck into downstairs when work finished!!
I can see this being a great motivational thread!! X X

I'm now having a break and letting the toddler run round in the garden for a bit whilst I sit and watch. She's decided this last week that naps are for losers so won't sleep through the day any more. Hopefully Dh will be home from work soon so I can carry on with my list.

Afreshstartplease · 18/06/2016 18:39

I ended up going to Ikea oops

So didn't do any of my last list of -

Strip other two beds
Put away clothes in my bedroom
Clean out pets

I'm not stripping beds now that can wait til morning, I'll do my clothes and the pets when the DC are in bed

I have managed to put away dds clothes, keep on top of pots, keep two worktops clear, take out recycling and got DC to tidy living room toys

Next I'm going to -

Hoover living room
Hoover stairs
Try and declutter living room surfaces

Kim82 · 18/06/2016 18:50

I went to my friends this afternoon so didn't do anything else on my list either. Dh has gone out for the night so I'm just waiting for the toddler to go to bed then I'll do a few jobs.

Afreshstartplease · 18/06/2016 18:51

Glad I'm not the only one been slacking!

Kim82 · 18/06/2016 19:45

Toddler is in bed, I'm on the sofa. Don't think I'll be getting up again tonight so the rest of my jobs will be bumped to tomorrow's list

Afreshstartplease · 18/06/2016 20:00

Lol Kim.

3DC in bed here and I just sat down. I still have a smidgen of energy so I am gonna attempt to do a bit but I may likely fail!

Afreshstartplease · 19/06/2016 06:42

I failed.

I've so many things I want to do I don't know where to start.

I have the big standard everyday cleaning tasks. Need to do a bathroom deep clean. Have two bedrooms to swap over and decorate.....

Afreshstartplease · 19/06/2016 08:10

So far-

Washer on
Dryer on
Pots washed
Two worktops and table wiped
One bed stripped
Living room shelves decluttered

Next

Wipe living room shelves and other surfaces
Remove cushion cases for wash
Hoover living room

AMR123456 · 19/06/2016 09:26

Yesterday I went to bed early as CBA doing any housework yesterday evening!!
Today I've
Made the beds
loaded dishwasher (as DH kindly just left dirty dishes on the side last night instead of walking those 2 extra steps to place them in dishwasher!!Angry)
1st load of washing on
emptied dryer from last night stuff folded & put away
Now need to
Give kitchen quick wipe down
Get uniforms ready for morning as up mega early to get kids to outlaws as they are taking them to school
Make sure kids bags sorted again for school
Go to B&Q buy a shitload of paint so decorating can start- can't wait for it to be finished but then I'll no longer have excuses to not clean downstairs!!Shock

Kim82 · 19/06/2016 20:42

Good evening everyone. Another lazy day here today, I've only done the basics and had cleaned and mopped the upstairs bathroom whilst I was waiting for my bath to run. I'm going to break down my list for tomorrow to see if it motivates me at all as I just can't seem to be arsed moving after being ill last week! So, my first few jobs will be:

  • tidy beds
  • put washer on
  • iron uniforms
  • put meat in slow cooker for tea

I'll add some more tomorrow once these jobs are done.

skivvywoman · 20/06/2016 08:30

Just put toddler down for a nap for an hour or so, all jobs done for now so I can sit and relax.

All that needs doing later is:

  • cook tea
  • clean up after tea
  • more washing
  • fold and put away clean washing
  • bathe toddler
  • get Dh to get suitcase out of attic
celeste83 · 20/06/2016 17:44

Hi all,

I got barely any housework done over the weekend so been playing catch up today.

I have done:

  • washed breakfast dishes
  • anti-bac'd kitchen worktops

  • wiped over bathrooms and bleached loos
  • hoovered all floors
  • mopped kitchen floor
  • emptied kitchen bin
  • tidied ds room
  • done some laundry

Almost all jobs done but I didn't bathe the toddler as I got distracted packing suitcases for the girls' holiday (they go wed morning so are staying with my parents tomorrow night). They're all packed and ready to go after school tomorrow now though so that's one less job for tomorrow's list which is:

  • tidy beds
  • strip and remake the 2 girls' beds
  • wash breakfast dishes
  • clean out fridge
  • write shopping list done
  • go to Aldi
  • Washing
  • fold and put away clean washing
  • tidy and dust bedrooms
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing and stairs
skivvywoman · 20/06/2016 20:23

handbags88 · 21/06/2016 22:25

Hello everyone, can I join in again please? My house is starting to look tidy again after arrival of mini-handbag Grin

I think I'm just about managing to keep on top of things here...

How is everyone doing?

List for tomorrow:

  • make bed
  • put 2 loads of washing on
  • tumble dry washings
  • fold and put away clothes
  • hoover whole house
  • dust (if possible)
  • Give bathroom a clean
  • tidy round living room
  • post birthday cards and letters
  • prepare anything for tea

All of this is dependent on baby feeding and sleeping at her usual times!
