Good evening everyone. Flipping heck skivvy, you've been busy today! I've done no housework whatsoever today - the breakfast dishes are still in the sink! We have been to Alton towers with Ds though so were out of the house from 8.15am - 7pm so I think it's excusable. I'm shattered after two days out in a row, both of which involved hoards of walking so I'm sitting with a bottle of beer and waiting for our takeaway for tea. No way am I doing any housework tonight, I'll catch up tomorrow after an early night tonight.

skivvywoman · 26/06/2016 21:24

Kim enjoy your beer

I've only been busy because I've been so lazy last few days!!

celeste83 · 28/06/2016 07:53

Kim82 · 01/07/2016 08:19

Morning everyone, it should hopefully be a quiet housework day today as I did most of it yesterday. I have a few admin type things to do instead though:

  • tidy beds
  • washing
  • fold and put away clean washing
  • sweep floors downstairs
  • wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • clean windows
  • go to Costco for cat food and water
  • draw cash out and pay nursery
  • take toddler for settling in session at nursery at 2pm
  • ring orthodontist and change ds' appointment
  • ring bank and set up a standing order for nursery fees
  • ring tax credits
  • clean sister's house

I start my new job on Monday so I need to get myself organised before then.

Kim82 · 01/07/2016 12:49
  • tidy beds done
  • washing done, will put in dryer in a minute
  • fold and put away clean washing
  • sweep floors downstairs done
  • wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen done
  • clean windows
  • go to Costco for cat food and water done
  • draw cash out and pay nursery cash drawn out, will pay when I take dd round later
  • take toddler for settling in session at nursery at 2pm
  • ring orthodontist and change ds' appointment done
  • ring bank and set up a standing order for nursery fees done
  • ring tax credits done
  • clean sister's house

Just need to sort washing and clean windows then when dd goes to nursery for an hour I'll set off and do my sister's cleaning and Dh can pick dd up whilst I'm out.

Afreshstartplease · 02/07/2016 07:58

So much to do this weekend

So far I've

Cleared and wiped down table
Cleared and wiped two worktops
Wet washing in dryer
Washer on
Dry washing sent upstairs
Recycling out
Washed half the pots

Kim82 · 02/07/2016 08:06

Morning fresh, you've been busy already this morning! I've only just dragged myself out of bed. Today's list for me is pretty short I think:

  • tidy beds
  • strip and remake toddler's bed
  • wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • empty kitchen bins
  • washing
  • fold and put away dry washing
  • dust and polish living room
  • sweep the floors downstairs
  • wipe over downstairs bathroom

I think that's all that needs doing so an easy day for me.

willhazboz · 02/07/2016 08:27

Morning! Yesterday I cleaned bathroom and did weekly shop also the standard handwashing and a dark load.
This morning I've done dishwasher handwashing and put the dogs bedding in the wash as he threw up on it :( hoping he'll be back to normal soon. Got to go to town today to get a 18th birthday present. Have absolutely no idea what to get!!

Afreshstartplease · 02/07/2016 09:41

Was up at 6 with dd

More washing now in dryer
More dry stuff upstairs
Kitchen bin emptied

Next -

Finish pots
Tidy living room toys

shabbychic1 · 03/07/2016 16:55

Just found this thread- brilliant! Today I've done 2 loads laundry and sorted a very big airing cupboard- got new shelving. And now you can walk right into it rather than having to climb over everything. Very pleased Grin

Kim82 · 03/07/2016 17:33

Hi shabby and welcome. So far today I have:

  • tidied the beds
  • sorted through toddler's wardrobe and bagged up all her old clothes for the charity shop
  • picked up the full toilet roll that the toddler ripped up and shredded all over the landing floor whilst I was sorting her clothes - grrrr!
  • taken toddler swimming
  • tidied the living room
  • washed all breakfast and dinner dishes
  • emptied and bleached kitchen bins
  • made a steak pie for tea which is cooking nicely in the oven
  • packed a bag ready for the toddler's first day at nursery tomorrow (sob)
  • got a tick off one of the cat's ears (grim)

Still to do:

  • finish making tea
  • clean kitchen after tea
  • iron clothes for tomorrow
  • bathe toddler
  • fold and put away washing once dry

Busy week for me this week. First day in a new job tomorrow after being off work with my youngest for 2 years, the two middle dc come home from a fortnight's holiday with my parents on Wednesday (I can't wait to see them, I've missed them so much but no looking forward to the washing) and then me and Dh are away for the night on Saturday night so need to get things sorted for that. I also need to keep on top of the usual cleaning, washing and shoe horn a food shop in there somewhere too.

Afreshstartplease · 03/07/2016 17:51

OMG so exhausted

Not sure if I'm coming down with some bug or other, feels much more than pregnancy exhaustion

Done the minimum. In the middle of swapping around all the bedrooms so upstairs is utter chaos. Downstairs isn't much better.

I've managed

Two loads washed
One load dry and sent up
Most pots washed
Pets cleaned out
Bins empty

Need to

Finish pots Inc tea pots
Clean up after tea
Hoover living room
Hoover stairs
Put away washing

Afreshstartplease · 03/07/2016 17:52

Good luck with the job Kim, is it full/part time?

Kim82 · 03/07/2016 18:40

Take it easy fresh pregnancy is bloody hard work, if you're exhausted listen to your body and rest, the housework can wait (or be done by someone else!).

The job is part time, Mon, Tue, Fri. I'm absolutely dreading sending dd to nursery tomorrow, the settling in sessions haven't gone well and I could hear her screaming outside the building! I have no choice but to leave her in the morning though. :-(

Afreshstartplease · 03/07/2016 20:41

She may surprise you Kim, how old is she? It's just a big change for her that's all. Is she settled when you pick her up from her visits?

Just had a lovely bath now my achey bits feel a bit better. Going to Potter about and then get in bed I think
