Cleaning thread anyone?

Used to do one of these each week but I have become a lazy lazy slob it would seem!

Anyone care to join me with lists and motivation?

To do:

• washed breakfast dishes done
• dettol'd kitchen tops done
• make the beds done
• wipe bathroom basin done
• wipe loo done
• bleach loo done
• put new towels in bathroom done
• general tidy up done
• tidy ds room done
• make tea done
• dettol kitchen tops done
• bath ds done

Hi Poppy, I just use powder for washing so I can't help you re the liquid.

• clean downstairs bathroom
• clean out fridge

• go to Boots
• dust living room

My sister is coming round in the morning though so I don't know how much I'll manage before dd goes for a nap.

Hi Poppy, i also use powder for washing. I don't really understand the purpose of dettol for washing clothes.

I use that mostly for peace of mind but I only use half a capful and I don't use it on anything I wash on 60
I don't find it smells once washed

I ended up going to my sisters to help her bake and cook for her dd birthday. Not gonna be able to do a hoover today now but will do a tidy up after ds bedtime.

I haven't done much cleaning today as my dad and sister came up in the morning and I went into town and finished my Christmas shopping this afternoon - just need to wrap the stuff I bought today then I'm completely done. Yay!

I'm having snuggles on the sofa at the moment with the two youngest but I'll get a few jobs done once the toddler goes to bed in half an hour or so. I'll check back in later.

Hi all. Been busy today. Wanted to catch up from yesterday and do the hoovering and do the kitchen aswell, and i have also just finished cleaning the bathroom. So day off the big chores tomo yay!

I have done:

• cleaned fridge and chucked out stuff making space for xmas food
• also chucked out stuff in the larder again making room
• domestos'd kitchen sink
• dettol'd kitchen tops

• cleaned bath
• cleaned loo
• domestos'd loo
• mopped bathroom floor
• put kitchen and bathroom towels in the washing machine and put new towels out

Hi everyone, hope you're all okay. I didn't do much cleaning yesterday but I've been non-stop all day today. I'm all done now though apart from putting the kids to bed and wrapping 5 Xmas presents. Today I have:

• cleaned sister's house
• laundry
• folded and put away clean washing
• tidied beds
• tidied, dusted and hoovered all bedrooms
• hoovered landing and stairs
• cleaned and mopped upstairs bathroom
• tidied living room
• dusted downstairs
• cleaned and mopped downstairs bathroom
• swept and mopped living room and hallway
• cleaned, swept and mopped kitchen
• washed, wiped and put away dishes
• sorted and put away paperwork that was on the side in the living room
• loaded washer ready for tomorrow

My back will be killing me later, no doubt, after scrubbing two houses top to bottom!

Tomorrow's jobs:

• write shopping list
• go to Aldi (didn't go on Tuesday)
• go to Costco
• tidy beds
• laundry
• fold and put away clean washing
• wash dishes throughout the day
• make a steak pie for tea
• go to park if not raining

Oh, I also need to:

• pick baby's milk up from chemist
• order baby's meds from gp
• pick up flea treatment from the vets
• attack cats with the treatment

Evening.

Today i had a chilled out day. I think that'll probably be the last chilled out day for a while now. I did do some wrapping today but only because i got bored of doing nothing.

You must be exhausted Kim cleaning two houses. How big is the house you clean your sisters?

It's only a 2 bed house so it takes me around 2 hours to do the lot. It would be quicker but there's usually tidying up to do and dishes to wash and I always sort some clothes washing for her too. It's still 2 hours extra cleaning to fit in though which isn't great when you're not in the mood!

So I also now need to:

• weigh all 3 cats
• go back to the vets with weights written down and buy flea treatment

I've just done the dishes and wiped the work tops and I've weighed two cats - there's no sign of the other one!

lol Kim, i remember how your cats avoided you when you last dishes out the flea treatment

• treat cats biggest one done and now sulking, other two are nowhere to be seen

All 3 cats treated, cleaned up after tea. Just baby to bath and washing to fold/put load in dryer when it's finished then it's sofa time.

All done, baby now in bed. Yay! I've just chucked the last load of laundry into the washer, should be done by 10pm which just leaves today's clothes and the bed covers tomorrow.

I'm now sitting eating toast with a cup of tea. I love it when there's no morning rush and we can sit and relax.
