Used to do one of these each week but I have become a lazy lazy slob it would seem!

Anyone care to join me with lists and motivation?

OP posts:
penguinsarecool · 21/09/2015 10:00

Oh no you must be knackered. I hope she is ok?

My list:
Wash breakfast dishes done
Anti bac kitchen surfaces done
make beds
wipe over bathroom
do some laundry
hoover everywhere
general tidy up after the bombsite the weekend brings!

May do more depending on my mood Grin

Kim82 · 21/09/2015 10:01

Okay, breakfast dishes and kitchen cleaned, clothes are in the washer, food taken out to defrost, litter tray sorted. Just the bathroom to do and the uniform shop which will have to wait til after school anyway. I've lost my energy again now so I'm done til the baby goes to sleep.

Kim82 · 21/09/2015 10:04

Oh, just seen your reply. Yes dd is fine thanks, she's just a god awful sleeper! It's Dh's day off today so he's in charge of entertaining her for now. ??????

Kim82 · 21/09/2015 10:04

No idea where the question marks at the end came from!

penguinsarecool · 21/09/2015 11:41

My list:
Wash breakfast dishes done
Anti bac kitchen surfaces done
make beds done
wipe over bathroom done
do some laundry put a load in the washing machine
hoover everywhere done downstairs
general tidy up after the bombsite the weekend brings! done

Gonna do upstairs hoover but that won't take long. Not in the mood for much else. The ironing pile as ever is still there so may just plonk the ironing board in front of the tele this afternoon Grin

Kim82 · 21/09/2015 12:09

I haven't done anything since I last posted apart from put the washing in the dryer and a coloureds wash in the machine. I've got a banging headache through lack of sleep so will do the bathroom once the painkillers have kicked in.

Dd is awake again now so I'll make some lunch and clear up after that soon.

You've done well getting all your list done. Go you! You're better than me with the ironing. I only iron school uniforms, the rest can stay creased, I'm too lazy for that!

Kim82 · 21/09/2015 13:16

Lunch done and cleaned up and bathroom is clean. Just need to go to the uniform shop around 4.30pm, fold and put away clean laundry when the dryer has finished and today's jobs are done.

penguinsarecool · 21/09/2015 14:14

Haha i done an hours worth of ironing whilst watching Home & Away and Neighbours. Ironing is my weakness. Definitely a thankless chore. Ironing and cleaning the oven. Worst chores for me easily! Well done you for getting the bathroom clean. I love bleaching the bathroom. Hope your headache gets better. No more to my list today except for washing up after tea and tidy up after ds bedtime. Same time tomorrow?

Kim82 · 21/09/2015 14:42

Yep, definitely. It actually makes me get up and do the chores if I've written it on here. The headache has gone now thanks, fingers crossed it doesn't come back.

Yeh, I need to do tea and clean up after that too but that shouldn't take too long then help with homework, bath the baby then start the nightly battle of getting her to sleep - it took til bloody 10.50pm last night before she conked out! Grrr!!

Kim82 · 22/09/2015 08:20

Morning! Today's list of jobs are:
Write shopping list
Clean out fridge
Go to Aldi
Go to Sainsburys
Go to Costco
Clean breakfast dishes and kitchen
Sweep and mop floors
Hoover sofas in living room (too much cat hair and too many long haired girls in this house!).
Wash towels

First, a cup of tea then a shower.

Kim82 · 22/09/2015 09:10

Towels in the wash
Kitchen cleaned
Shopping list written
Fridge cleaned out

Just going to dry my hair and dress the baby then I'm off shopping. I can't go to Costco though until 3.30 as the girls want to come with me so they can try all the tasters.

I also remembered I need to iron more uniform so that's on the to do list too.

Missymoomoo197936 · 22/09/2015 09:55

Hi can I join? I always join but the thread ends up slowing down.

To do: Hoover, polish (need to buy more though so trip to the shop soon),
Another load of washing, 1st load is in the dryer already.
Sweep and mop kitchen floor, will do that once dd2 is asleep.

I've already got a stew in the slow cooker, it's never ending isn't it? And it's a miserable day too.

penguinsarecool · 22/09/2015 10:03

Morning. You've been busy this morning already. Did our weekly food shop last night and did a bit more of the never ending pile of ironing in the evening. Your idea Kim of just ironing school stuff is sounding quite genius Hmm

This morning done the school run and popped into see my Gran for a tea on my way back Brew

What are tasters at Costco?

penguinsarecool · 22/09/2015 10:06

Forgot to post a list Blush

Wash breakfast dishes
anti-bac the kitchen tops
make beds
polish and dust
general tidy up

penguinsarecool · 22/09/2015 10:07

Hi Missymoo

Everstrong · 22/09/2015 10:14

Morning all, can I join?! I am off work today and need to get my arse in gear instead of eating chocolate digestives for breakfast

Today's list:

  1. Hang out the washing that's in the machine.
  2. Go to supermarket (on my bike as I need the exercise) to get a couple of bits we missed at the weekend.
  3. Change the bed in our room. DD bed changed Sunday so that's okay.
  4. Ironing mountain.
  5. Make dinner
irie · 22/09/2015 10:22

Can I join? I'm a thread killer though Blush I'm 39 weeks preg and trying to keep busy, to do list today is:

-Hoover and mop downstairs
-tidy living room
-tidy baby's room
-bleach the bathroom

Doesn't sound like much but I'm still in bedConfused weather is shit here I could do with changing the bed but will have to wait for better weather

Kim82 · 22/09/2015 10:47

Hi everyone, plenty of to do lists, let's hope we can finish them all.

I managed to go to Sainsburys then called in at the baby clinic on a whim to weigh dd (she's 18lb 13ox at 14 months if anyone's interested). I ended up crying at the health visitor when I asked for advice about her sleep - how embarrassing a so I stayed there a while chatting and dd got tired so I've had to come home to let her sleep and I'll go to Aldi when she wakes up.

I'm off to put the towels in the dryer and mop the floors now. Will report back in a bit.

Missymoomoo197936 · 22/09/2015 11:02

Oh kim tell me about it, Dd2 is 15 months on the 2nd October, she sleeps terribly, although since switching to just water she isn't as bad but still wakes a couple of times.

I've popped shop and got my polish, left the duster in the kitchen though and the floor is wet Grin

Ohhh irie anytime now then for the birth, are you excited?

So still to do:

Hoover( dd2 is asleep so that will get done when she's awake)
Polish and dust the livingroom
Lunch(asda potato and leek soup)
Put some clean washing away, I hate this job and I'm terrible at it.

penguinsarecool · 22/09/2015 11:16

Lots of newbies.

Lack of sleep is the worst Kim.

My list:

Wash breakfast dishes done
anti-bac the kitchen tops done
make beds done
polish and dust
general tidy up
wipe bathroom done
bleach the loo done

Gonna keep cracking on. May end up with my to do list finished by lunchtime if i do Smile

Kim82 · 22/09/2015 11:27

Towels in the dryer, floors swept and mopped. I forgot to get the uniforms out of the wardrobes to iron and dd is in there sleeping so I'll have to do them later, I can't do the hoovering either because of aforementioned sleeping child so I'm just going to have some tea and toast and read a magazine for an hour.

I also just remembered I need to nip to be cash machine to get some money out to pay for dd2's residential this week. Dammit, I could have done that at Sainsburys! Oh well, another job added.

Still to do:
Iron uniforms
Draw cash out
Hoover sofas
Fold and put away towels when dry
Go to Aldi
Go to Costco

(My poor bank account will be empty after all this shopping today!)

Everstrong · 22/09/2015 12:00

DD was a terrible sleeper, it made me totally understand why sleep deprivation is a form of torture- it is horrible for mind and body!

  1. Hang out washing that's in basket. done
  2. Go to supermarket on my bike and get some bits we missed at the weekend.
  3. Change the bed in our room. done
  4. Ironing mountain. About to start
  5. Make dinner. Fish out of freezer
Missymoomoo197936 · 22/09/2015 12:16

Take clean clothes up
Daughter nap time done

penguinsarecool · 22/09/2015 13:54

Wash breakfast dishes done
anti-bac the kitchen tops done
make beds done
polish and dust done
general tidy up done
wipe bathroom done

Woohoo Grin

Just had cheese on potatoe waffles for lunch. Got fajitas for tea tonight.

Kim82 · 22/09/2015 13:57

Whoop! Well done Penguin. I've still not done anything else, I have come to my sister's house for a bit instead, much more fun!
