Used to do one of these each week but I have become a lazy lazy slob it would seem!

Anyone care to join me with lists and motivation?

Tomorrow's list:

  • tidy beds
  • more laundry (think there's 3 loads left)
  • fold and put away clean clothes
  • iron uniforms
  • make sure kids' homework is done
  • buy birthday present and card for party
  • take girls to a birthday party at 3.30pm (might make dh do this)
  • wash, wipe and put away dishes as needed through the day
  • put bins out ready for collection on Monday morning
  • if it's not raining take kids to the park for an hour

I can't think of anything else that needs doing so it'll be a much quieter day tomorrow on the housework front.

Afternoon all you might help my dilemma
I wash tea towels separately with towels on 60
Bedding the same
I was doing clothes underwear and socks at 40 should I do underwear and socks separately and hotter
Thanks xxxy

Kim82 · 13/12/2015 13:34

I do the same as you and stick underwear and socks in with other washing at 40 degrees, bedding and towels at 60.

I separate the washing into darks, whites and pinks/reds (there are enough in this house that they need their own wash load) and then put corresponding coloured underwear in with those washes.

Dh has some expensive jeans and one or two tops that also need to go in on a cold wash but that's only around once every 7-10 days.

afreshstartplease · 13/12/2015 13:40

I wash everything together

I use colour catcher sheets in each wash

I wash at 30/40

Everything gets washed after each use (clothes and towels) or daily (tea towels) or weekly (bedding)

Hello! Can I join too? This looks like a great motivational thread! I'll post tomorrow post weekend on my jobs, but looks like it will consist of:

Clean kitchen after weekend
Washing - 2 loads (whites and bed sheets)
Start to pack as going away to parents for 2 weeks next Saturday - lists have been drawn up on what need to bring for me, DH, DD and DS
Go through post and file/shred growing pile in sitting room
Buy Xmas presents for friends kids, wrap and post (not technically cleaning but must do!)
Do more clearing up in our utility/boot room as mess of shoes and coats etc

Dry washing

Quick question - does anyone use that dettol liquid for washes? I was wondering whether to get any, esp for 30 degree washes, but it does smell rather chemically (gave it a sniff in the shop!)
