OK, So what wa the rubber glove tip? I missed it (or rather DP was lurking & I would have got winged at for watching)

Piffle · 25/08/2006 13:39

Rubber glove use it to remove hair and fuzz from your stairs, put in on your hands and rub.
I am in love with the baking soda and essential oil busniess my house smells gorgeous! And non chemically
The day after her show my house gets cleaner and cleaner.

flossieteacake · 25/08/2006 13:41

Sorry to harp on about this... but try the t-shirt thing on baby clothes.... so cute and teeny!!

Dunnyjo · 25/08/2006 14:01

I so love this progr! just wish i had carpet put on my stairs though (only had downstairs done so far &its been a yr! )
But today i dont feel so geered up as last wk as its not draw stuff (all v. tidy ) as having 2 lo's around i cant keep it tidy. Toy after toy comes out, jigsaw puzzles come out and so on!
How on earth can you keep on top of it without getting dizzy!?

Dunnyjo · 25/08/2006 14:02

still feel blessed with the t-shirt folding!
Flossie i had the same joy with baby clothes!

CheesyFeet · 25/08/2006 14:08

So the baking soda and essential oil thing really works then? Will give it a try.

I missed the tshirt folding. What do you have to do?

Dunnyjo · 25/08/2006 14:13

lol! started to write out how to do it but its esier to watch it, just type in t-shirt folding in web browser and a vidio clip should come up

MadameButterfly · 25/08/2006 14:22

I forgot It was on last night: We are away on holiday next week so will miss it then too.

CheesyFeet · 25/08/2006 14:22

will do Dunnyjo, thanks

MadameButterfly · 25/08/2006 14:32

Has anyone tried the quiz on BBC3 website
here

TitianRed · 25/08/2006 14:39

Did anyone notice that when the artist woman was blubbing, Anthea handed her a box of tissues in a tissue box sized wicker basket?! Hilarious!! Just about to follow the link and do the quiz!

JackieNo · 25/08/2006 20:41

Got six out of eight in the quiz. Or is that ? Anyone fancy entering for the Christmas special so she can tell you how to do Christmas properly?

Was anyone else really disappointed with this episode? There were only 2 of the 3 Hs and lots more testimonials instead. Hope the others are better!

reiver · 27/08/2006 17:10

Think it's repeated again at 8pm tonight (Sunday) for those who missed it.

UCM · 27/08/2006 20:10

She is on now. I just drop kicked DH off the sofa to find that this was a repeat

sorkycake · 27/08/2006 22:47

I missed it on Thursday, so caught it tonight. I couldn't believe that he didn't looked ashamed at all, rather indignant in fact that Anthea was critising his house!
If I was his wife I'd honestly have took the reins and binned the lot, then kicked him down the job centre! Harsh maybe, but what could he possibly do all day?

reiver · 28/08/2006 15:05

May I ask which essential oils everyone is using in with the bicarb of soda? Suggestions please!

JackieNo · 28/08/2006 15:09

Haven't done it yet, but was thinking lavender for relaxation or neroli for refreshing.

Apologies if it's already been said (the whole threads a wee bit too long to get thru) but they're looking for people for Anthea's Perfect Housewife xmas special on starnow.co.uk

fussymummy · 28/08/2006 22:42

flossieteacake i feel so sorry for you not to have BBC3.
You'll have to put a Freeview box on your list of xmas pressies, prices start at about £25.

Then you can watch Anthea next time she's on.

And Eastenders is repeated at 10pm!!!

housemum · 28/08/2006 23:55

Bit late getting round to posting on this one - God bless Saint Anthea!! Though don't you get "twitchy" when it's on? I find myself sneaking furtive glances around me on the lookout for cobwebs...

i have high hopes for 3 year old sorting me out - I was sewing today (instead of cleaning) when she comes in with floral pinny on, duster in one hand and a doll's bottle in the other - she told me that was "squirt" and she needed to put some squirt on the table and I had to move, as it needed cleaning. She then proceeded to pretend to spray the table, buff it with the duster, humming "whistle while you work" - Anthea in training!!!!

spangles · 31/08/2006 18:25

Are you all ready for another visit to Anthea's 'housewife school' tonight girls
I wonder what we will learn tonight

JackieNo · 31/08/2006 18:28

I got all ahead of myself yesterday, and wondered why it wasn't on. Only today that I realised I'd had the wrong day.

flossieteacake · 31/08/2006 20:05

Okay someone priviledged enough to have BBC3 PLEASE write us a brief summary of everything you learned tonight...

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 31/08/2006 20:24
