She's back! DH loathes it, but I love the Anthea Turner: Perfect Housewife programme - it's on BBC Three on Thursday 8-9pm.

which one was 2manypimms, then?

daisy1999 · 18/08/2006 08:47

that t shirt folding was amazing . I whipped off my tshirt and tried it straight away

ScummyMummy · 18/08/2006 08:49

neither, I think as I just did a search and see that she describes herself as a mad American living in St Albans.

Dunnyjo · 18/08/2006 09:12

i feel a bit now as i have re-aranged all my towels and clothes now. I tried the t-shirt folding on all tops and it works lol

Dunnyjo · 18/08/2006 09:12

feeling rather cleansed now..

Tutter · 18/08/2006 10:45

ok i missed this, but as an anthea-towel-folding addict, i'd like to know about the t-shirts, pleeeeaaase?

CaligulaCorday · 18/08/2006 10:48

I so want to practice that t-shirt thing...

I tried watching this, really did, b/c everything else on TV was pants last night.

But it was sooo tiresome. Anthea has a lot of time on her hands.

Tutter · 18/08/2006 10:58

expat - pants tv? you jest, surely - we had dragons den and the hotel thingy. both pretty good i thouhgt. ok, a disappointment after mr ramsay on wednesday, but isn't everyhting...?

wheelsonthebus · 18/08/2006 11:21

i too find anthea's programme oddly compulsive. it's the weird way she freaks out when someone makes up a job lot of buck's fizz rather than "making them to order".

Dunnyjo · 18/08/2006 12:04

I know she has alot of time on her hand but i just love the tips!
Type in folding t-shirts and it shows you how to do it

is anthea's way the same as this?

if so i think i need a degree in rocket science to get it...

Tutter · 18/08/2006 12:30

ooh i found a video of it

here

still scary-looking

will go and try...

Misspiggy · 18/08/2006 12:37

How sad am I - I Sky Plussed it and watched it after BB (God, I need to get a life don't I?!)It really is horribly fascinating. DH watched it with me making sarky remarks every 2 seconds and wasn't even impressed by the T shirt folding thingy . He has no soul.

wheelsonthebus · 18/08/2006 12:45

tutter - that video is another classic

Imafairy · 18/08/2006 14:54

Oh b*gger - I tried that out, based on Tutter's amazing video, hoping to find the whole process ridiculous, but I'm afraid I think it's FAB!!! All t-shirts about to be refolded!!!!!

MadamePlatypus · 18/08/2006 21:16

I love the t-shirt folding, I love the tips, and I even like Anthea. However, I wish they wouldn't make it look as though your average toddler can be expected to amuse themselves for hours on end/provide constructive help while you are doing housework.

B8 · 18/08/2006 21:30

I am absolutely gutted that I missed it. I love the whole Anthea Turner thing, I owe my towels to that woman!I will be praying for a repeat.
PS Tutter- the video was fantastic!

B8 · 18/08/2006 21:32

Forgot to add this:
Is it only me who would rather that it was more about Anthea instructing us in the loveliness and less of the reality competition?

NorksDrift · 18/08/2006 21:53

Why didn't she show how to fold fitted sheets though?(tragic emoticon) I'm ashamed to admit that's what I wanted to know!

Imafairy · 19/08/2006 15:10

okay, I have to ask.....how DO you fold towels (because I am assuming my usual, logical way is wrong, if the t-shirts are anything to go by!! )

mrsdarcy · 19/08/2006 17:40

I'm a fairy - I asked the same question earlier in the thread. Check out Fussymummy's reply. It will change your life

fussymummy · 19/08/2006 18:36

Hi mrsdarcy i was wondering how you got on with the towels???
Thought you were still struggling!!!!
