You are all going to be so disappointed. My hobby is horse riding. Ta da!! I really wasn't trying to be coy. I didn't realise you were all so nosey took such an interest in fellow thread members Grin I am totally mortified that it is not hang gliding or rally racing or anything a bit more adventurous Blush

Count it as friendliness rather than nosiness. Wink

Do you spend much time doing it?

Carrotsandcelery · 03/10/2011 13:50

Not nearly as much time as I would like to Angel. I am up there about 3 times a week but can only just afford to ride once a week. I will keep buying my lottery tickets though Grin

I am glad you found the new thread Angel. How are you getting on with all those apples?

I like your new homeSmile

Carrotsandcelery · 03/10/2011 14:15

Hi Autumn How are you getting on?

OP posts:
AutumnHues · 03/10/2011 15:05

I'm starting to get better at keeping the washing up manageable although dh helps out if things get out of control.Wink
Have started from scratch with baby steps although I'm not sure if I will keep them up. I am really going to take it very sloooowwww if I do them. I'm on decluttering and it will probably take weeks or even months before I get that all done.( it's mainly paperwork) so it's hidden clutter but I know it's there and a disorganized mess!
As for the new thread I am amazed at how many people wanted to join but pleased that they did. Things are going fairly well Grin. We are just taking things at a steady pace.

Carrotsandcelery · 03/10/2011 15:38

That sounds good Autumn.

So far today I have:
washed and dressed to shoes
made 2 packed lunches
put on a wash and hung a wash to dry
done a shop
put away most of the shop
wrapped, labelled and posted a lot of ebay parcels
visited my ddad for a cup of tea Grin

Still to do:
LOADS!! Yikes!

We are in chaos and I could have a lot more energy.

cleaned the keys on laptop.

GossipWitch · 03/10/2011 16:57

I am planning to do more, honest! ooh I did take the rubbish out too!

Carrotsandcelery · 03/10/2011 19:18

That is a decent list for a day Gossip. Glad you found the thread

I got a sudden burst of enthusiasm after walking the dog on a windy hilltop and have decluttered the kitchen table, the floor around the kitchen table, the kitchen worktops, the sofas, the stool, some of the hallway and the laundry basket. Yay!

Oh and cooked tea and tidied up after we scoffed it all.

Any lime cheesecake left Gossip that would go down perfectly now Grin

unfortunatley my mate is saving it for our other mate :( i did try and tell her that its made my throat all better but she wasn't having none of it!!

shouldbeelswhere · 03/10/2011 20:32

Hi everyone. Thanks for the new thread Carrots, yay so horse riding is pretty adventurous isn't it? How many times have you fallen off? That's too much ouch for me! Lime cheese cake sounds nice. Where's Bessie?

GossipWitch · 03/10/2011 20:38

I've just put up a load of things i want to sell on a local selling facebook page maybe that'll work :)

Carrotsandcelery · 03/10/2011 20:40

should I last fell off four days ago Shock and I am very purple because of it. Infact my ddad and dh have insisted that I get checked over as it is so impressive. That was the first time for over 12 years though so I reckon I was due. I couldn't possibly count how many times I have fallen off altogether though. I did some pretty stupid stuff as a child.

Bessie... BESSIE...

I'm terrified of horses but I have rode one, she was a beautiful 14hh horse called sherri, my friend owned her well I think she was 14 hh (guestimate), she was a biggie though!

shouldbeelswhere · 03/10/2011 20:54

Well done Gossip you'll be in the money for Christmas and decluttered too!

Carrotsandcelery · 03/10/2011 21:13

Gossip hang in there with the selling. It is a great buzz when it all takes off. I have made £125ish now and it was all just stuff hanging around making clutter.

carrots horse-riding is too adventurous for me! I'm a bit wary of horses, they're sooo big, with lots of teeth & flarey nostrils!

I haven't done anything (except usual laundry, cooking, washing up, dishwasher etc) as I've been busy with the DDs today. Clothes are all laid out & bags packed ready for tomorrow though. I'll also have 2 loads of laundry ready to hang out in the morning.

I did hang my duvet out on the line today for an airing, I try to do it twice a year (spring & autumn) & I figure this nice weather can't last much longer!

I've got someone coming round to clean the carpets on Friday (Groupon offer) so need to have a bit of a tidy up in the living room tomorrow to ensure I can get the room clear quickly on Friday. So much for my talk of doing the FlyLady's zones!

Also, a big fail on getting to bed early tonight

Carrotsandcelery · 03/10/2011 22:31

I am also failing on the getting to bed front. My excuses are:

Ds is in it and was still awake at 10pm.

I don't like my book.

Last time I looked the dog was asleep on my pillow. Bleurgh!

OP posts:
AngelDog · 03/10/2011 22:38

I'm also failing on the bed front.

My excuses are:
waiting for the washing machine to finish, DS going to bed late and having to pop out this evening.

Done today:

  • washing x2
  • hand washed dress (will have to do again tomorrow as I can see grease spots still there from DS's eczema cream)
  • quick supermarket dash
  • collected jam jars from freecycle
  • reboiled apple jelly (hooray, it seems to be setting :))
  • made sandwiches for freezer
  • put away dry washing

Tomorrow:

  • go to Post Office
  • wash dress
  • change handtowels
  • take DS out for some exercise

I think I'm going to a friend's during DS's nap and I'm out in the evening, so that's almost all my getting-things-done time taken out.

bessie26 · 03/10/2011 22:42

I almost came upstairs at 930, but then I remembered I had to express & then I started watching some crap on the tv. And now I'm faffing about on here!

Right, Bed.... NOW!

GossipWitch · 03/10/2011 22:51

I'm still awake everybody ds1 hasn't gone to sleep yet and I cant sleep until he has (sometimes tries to cook) I cannot wait for a dx and some help...

Carrotsandcelery · 04/10/2011 08:38
