Thanks for the kind words about ds. At least we know now and something will happen for him. It seems he is hiding from kids he is scared of rather than situations.

I have been trying to tidy up the last bits of Christmas shopping today. Unfortunately my card was refused at the Box Office, despite there being plenty money in the account. I checked the account afterwards and the money is still there. Very weird. They have reserved my booking though and I can pay on dh's credit card which is even better so all is not lost.

I have come home to a complete tip though, despite my efforts yesterday so I will have to make a bit of an effort here as well. It seems I can "do" Christmas or I can keep on top of the house but I struggle to do both

bessie it sounds like it is all coming together finally at your house. How long has that carpenter taken to come??? Plumbing or joinery is clearly where the money is right now as they seem in no desperate rush to get jobs done.
