Do not have friend's ds until fri this week so can actually use monday to clean/tidy as normal this week! Look out for a mammoth list tomorrow and beat me round the head with the mop if I don't mop the floor.

So it would appear wc has moved back in with his nan today...haven't heard from him though and won't contact him unless I hear from him first. Am annoyed with myself that it's made me go all of a dither. Please remind me that he's a wanker and I can do better (or alternatively beat me with that mop again)

Rubbish night with DS2 - he just doesn't sleep, ever!

Need mega lists this week. We are going on holiday at the weekend, sort of half self catering so I need to take a heap of household stuff. My organising so far has consisted of too much shopping and not enough doing and sorting!!

Anon, I am trying to go electronic with my diary, but don't quite trust myself, so am juggling two at the mo.

Mini - sounds familiar, I just can't quite let my paper diary go, I'm convinced that I have stuff in there that is not on Mac/iPhone, so it still gets lugged everywhere with me!

Ali - where are you off to? We are away for first half of half term (starts week on Thurs so not long now!) to the seaside....

Anyone know the best way to store pears? Still rock hard on the tree, I gather they ripen best off the tree. However, I want to keep some back (cool in the shed in the dark??) so they ripen slower and we don't have them all ready at once. We have about 100 so potentially could last us right through the winter if I store them right!

I too am determined to crack through some of my list this week. Let's urge each other on hey?!

Oo, Freaki, thanks. Sounds great. Luckily DD adores pears, as does DH, so we certainly have a steady supply into the fruit bowl for a lot of weeks to come! Also fancy some pear salad type dishes... FIL swears by the pear/blue cheese combo.

Got an all day school trip tomorrow, so I need to get seriously up to date with the chores... hasta luego!

Am sat here with stomach in knots waiting for school to phone - and nothing!

The teacher tried to talk to DH this morning but he told her to ring me to arrange a good time as he was heading off to work (and knew I wanted to be at any meeting) & not get fobbed off with a 2 minute chat.

I've even resorted to Rescue Remedy as i'm feeling so anxious about it all. When will she ring? Or is she waiting for me to collect DS later - I don't on a Monday one of the other kids grandparents drops him home (they usually have running club together and it clashes with DS2's bus arrival time). I don't know what to do now, was expecting some sort of shit to hit the fan, not silence....

DD just waking from nap so best post quick then get on with things.

I'm on late pick up tonight, have meeting with DS's teacher, so DC in after school club until 5, so I've got a few jobs done, last one to do RIGHT NOW is the hoovering now that DDog has gone and no more dog hair can fall into the swirls currently around my ankles. .

Anon - we are off to Pembrokeshire, Bluestone National Park. It should be good. We've got a couple of days in Swansea on the way for me to show DH the places I used to visit (my GPs lived there) and then we are going straight to my parents at the end of the trip for the weekend and they are looking after the boys while DH and I go and have a posh meal out for our anniversary. We've only been married 4 years this year - we have crammed in a lot in that time!!
I can't wait, really need a break.
