JKS, I was putting it down to the fact that DD1 was part of a group of 7 friends that went round together. 5 of them went to an all girl school that is 13 miles away. But you would need to have her name down since conception for a hope of her getting in, she would be gone since 8am on a bus to it and not home til near 5 in the evening!! Plus, we live right next door to the secondary. If they all fell out of bed at 8.30 am, they still would be on time for school at 8.50am!!! They are all home by 3.45pm.
She is gone in today for 9am and is coming home at 12.30pm (i packed her lunch in case she decided to stay but not too hopeful) At least there was no tears.

DS gets his exam results tomorrow at 3pm, so more stress for me!!

JKSLtd · 13/09/2011 14:48

Glad DS was ok, he will get the hang of it. Is he going every day?

I've got DS1 home with me today, he's had a bit of a cold but been ok, and then last night he woke at midnight and again at 3 with a temperature and a horrid cough, so he's on the sofa under a blanket having eaten a huuuge breakfast Hmm
Not sure how much I'm going to get done today as a result.

Small lists needed!

I was a bit Confused at the 'eating babies' - thinking you lot are turning into cannibals!

Wasting - if you can get hold of a book called Silent Knife it's a fab VBAC read, out of print now though. If you join the Yahoo Vbac group, i passed on a copy i bought and it is being passed around, plus everyone on there has loads of fab advice & tips.
My (unsolicited i know!) advice is: make yourself knowledgable about vbac.
There is nothing wrong with going for an ELCS or with planning for a vbac, but there is a lot wrong with aiming for a vbac with the wrong support/no support. If the hosp start laying down loads of rules for 'vbac ladies' that are basically designed to make you end up with an EMCS then you are fighting a losing battle.
Look up VBAC guidelines on the Midwives site (name temporarily lost in a brain black hole....)

Morning Ladies! Such a proud Mammy today, DS did really well in his state exams, am so proud!
DD1 is settling a bit better and is now staying half days, dont know when they are going to get her to stay longer though, I suppose slowly but surely!
My house is a kip!! With all the stress lately, I just couldnt be bothered but it is starting to get on my nerves now Confused Washing is now piling up and this morning I had a moment where I thought there was no clean knickers for the girls but I had some! Need to wash more for tomorrow though!

Going to start on Breakfast dishes!

TimeWasting · 15/09/2011 20:07

This thread is a real pain to load and use for me, anyone else having problems with it?
I'd just done a whole post and lost it. Sad

Anyway, everything's done but the evening's pots.

CC, well done to your DS,and glad DD1 is settling more.

JKS, thanks for the link, I've joined and it looks really useful.

Going to make myself some raspberry leaf tea now. The way the time keeps flying by I'll be in labour in no time. Smile [shock Confused

I have stropped some more, gawd she is a feeding monster today and i've had enough! Even ended up feeding her standing up pushing DS2 in the swing at the playground. Got nothing done.
Hopefully it's a temporary thing, maybe a reaction to her jabs though she seems well enough, just hungry. a growth spurt perhaps (Dh's answer to everything!).

Cousin has gone, hopefully a quiet weekend before PIL arrive on Sun. MIL is looking after the boys while Dh, me & DD go away for a couple of days, or that's the plan, i'm tempted by staying here and letting MIL look after DD between feeds whilst the boys are at sch and just going to bed!

Jks we've had a few days like that recently. Last night T didn't go to sleep until gone 11pm!

I'm being crap at lists but things are ticking over here, DS1 was back at preschool today after his bug which helps.

CC - yay for DS, and good news that DD1 is settling better Smile
