Hello!

I got some good books on labour and birth from the library on Saturday, and I've started drinking the raspberry leaf too. Going to add another cup each day soon. Grin I've ordered a birth ball too and some massage oils.
There's so much to sort though, it feels like I'm getting somewhere, but there's always more to do!

Short list for now -

  • ring up about ante-natal class
  • tidy up kitchen
  • hang washing
  • get dinner started
anonymousbird · 19/09/2011 17:09

Hello, sorry I am horribly useless at posting/listing/catching up.

Hope all are ok. Wasting - how long to go?!

I need to "refresh" my daily list, but I did achieve a few things today:

  • take delivery of Mum's piano (yey)
  • Make a vat of irish stew (yum)
  • Sort out four boxes of DC old clothes and bits - at least 75% are ebay-able (£££ yey)
  • Three loads of washing
  • Clean oven (well, I ran the self clean function!)
  • DW load, run empty
  • Attack rust on DS's bike with WD40
  • walked dog
  • sorted chickens

Now all I need to do is persuade DS to write a couple more thank you letters and that feels like the hardest thing I will have to do today!!!! Confused

Hello everyone!

Having a crap week here, I'm tired, and stressed out because preschool want the SENCO to come and observe DS1 :( I don't really know what for, they say that he's having problems focusing in large groups, which I would think is fairly standard for a just-3-year-old but there we are. Apart from that he is fine apparently, v.bright and socialising well.

I really do need to list, the house is in chaos and needs cleaning desperately.

OP posts:
FreakoidOrganisoid · 20/09/2011 15:02

Oh no ali, weird that they haven't discussed it with you in more detail Confused Although on the positive side at least if he does need additional support they'll have spotted it early.

Am also very tired. had weird night out on sat (thread in relationships about it, the one with bunny boiler in the title -it's posted under a different name just cos it's a bit crazy and don't want it following me around for evermore), the silent calls I've been getting, dc have colds and are coughing at night and next door have just got a puppy and it's crying all night at the moment. Yawn!

TimeWasting · 20/09/2011 19:03

Ali, sounds a shock. Sad Agree with Freaky, though, if he does need the help, getting it now could be a good thing.

Sorry you've been having a rough time too Freaky. Had a look at your thread, but can't really add anything I'm afraid. Just smile and carry on I think.

I'm absolutely exhausted today, so an earlier night tonight I think.

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 20/09/2011 19:17

Thanks girls :) I did ask if they had any more serious concerns - my youngest brother, DH and DH's uncle all have some very ASD-type behaviours, as did my Grandad, so it really wouldn't come as the hugest shock if he is on the spectrum somewhere. I specifically asked if that was the concern though, and they said no.
What his keyworker (who is also the preschool leader) said, was that they don't want to leave things as they are, and then him get to school and be labelled as disruptive etc. That she is hoping the SENCO will be able to give them some better strategies for getting him to focus and stay engaged with a group task.

Which all sounds fine, but it does feel like a bit of an over-reaction and I really hope that they aren't fobbing me off. If they do have some more serious concerns then I would prefer to know sooner rather than later!

We shall see.

Wasting - considering how pregnant you are, you are doing tremendously. I was parked on the sofa like a whale most of the time at 38 weeks Grin

Freak - I shall look for your thread.

AAAARRRGGGGHHH,
Spent yesterday evening in a/e with DD3 as she is severely constipated! They ended up giving her an enema and medication to help her, back up Sunday. Because I was tired and stressed when I got home, ended up falling out with DD1 and she wouldnt go to school today.
I sobbed for 10mins this morning!
Hope noone comes to talk to her cause the house is like a bombsite!

PlumBumMum · 21/09/2011 13:19

Hi girls, sorry have been crap lately, partly because my computer keeps crashing on this thread. And not on laptop as much so have a try on my fancy new phone.

Sorry to hear everyone's having abit of a crappy time at the min, add my name to the list, dd1 getting excluded abit in school although is bothering me more than her I think. So fingers crossed she gets her exam in Nov as she has her heart set on a particular school.

Wasting I can't believe you only have 2 weeks to go where has the year went

Ali hopefully they are just very cautious, better than taking no interest at all

Freak will have a look for your thread

Waves to everyone else

PlumBumMum · 21/09/2011 13:22

Oh and CC I was close to tears this morning too, if only we had magic happiness wands, passes virtual wine to CC

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 21/09/2011 18:43

Freak - bloody hell. I agree with most people on there that he's set up the whole thing because he doesn't like you being fine without him. Although it does sound like your ex-Twat might be involved in there somewhere.
Pair of gits - move on and forget.

CC - oh hugs! What a time you are having! Is DD3 ok now?

Plum - grrr kids can be so horrid. Is that like the 11+ that she's going to take?

Well DS1 had a really good morning at preschool today, he joined in properly in a big group game and the staff were so chuffed it was lovely.

Still not managing to list, although I did clean the bathroom this morning and I've done two loads of washing. House is a mess though - I need a day without DCs to really get it shipshape

OP posts:
PlumBumMum · 21/09/2011 20:39

Yeap Ali, we did away with 11+ but have the transfer test instead Hmm until a new system of nontesting is agreed upon, doubleHmm

Well I was going to start a thread, as I feel its partly my fault, , everyone in her class has facebook, everyone has a phone, etc etc, firstly she dosen't even want facebook (apart from not being allowed it) and we are relenting and getting her a phone for christmas as I have reasoned that she will need one for big school Hmm, ones in her class seem to be allowed to watch any old thing on tv where as we are abit stricter.
I think the problem is she is just too honest and others in the class are bit more street smart or better at pretending to be, iykwim, so they don't bother telling her stuff because 'she won't understand'

Anyway tomorrow I am going to get house ship shape, laundary is well caught up, just smalls to sort & bathrooms to clean

JKSLtd · 21/09/2011 21:57

Freak - haven't seen thread, will try and find it.

Can't remember what else i was going to say, sympathies for tricky situations with the DC.

Not got much done here, need to get back on track (again). Though did get the highchair set up for DD Shock & she had a go in it at teatime, so now have to remember to include her at mealtimes :)

PlumBumMum · 21/09/2011 22:48

Freak I read the thread, sounds strange, I do think he was messing you about, he was happy for you to be interested in him even though he maybe didn't want to do anything more about it.
I would make sure you are not left alone with him again and then there can be no mistaking who is running after who.
