What else can I do to this room?

I’ve reclaimed the living room. This is going to be my yoga room & my space for peace and quiet.

What else can I add to it to make it more cosy?

Maybe a rug? I want to buy some cushions but I don’t want them to clash with the hypothetical rug. A throw perhaps?

I have a max budget of £150. Please help!!

Too cold and bare looking for my taste. Stop buying white and grey for this room.

Trailing deep green plants on the shelves and on the window sills.

Needs colour to warm it up, bright cushions in reds and oranges/rug. Change the trunks to ones with more colour. Shelf above fire with something interesting on it. Bigger picture with more colour on wall.

I've played with your room, please forgive me. It's probably far too cluttered for your taste. The plants are cat proof 😀I couldn't find clip art of a nice rug at the right angle so we've got a coloured floor.

Rug, plants and cushions. It needs some colour. Also a couple of nice artworks on the walls.

Deco flora has a huge range of artificial flowers and plants, very competitively priced ( using eBay as a price point) . I have several boxes full of them, I rotate them through the seasons so they look more ‘natural’. I’ve been thinking about getting a plant as the real ones seem to be harbouring small black flies at the moment

@MmaPreciousRamotswe my goodness!! I love that room!! Problem is my DH is VERY minimalist & although I it’s my room, I do want it to tie in somewhat with the rest of the house. I like the multiple plant pots in a row. I wonder if I could do that. In baskets.

@Caspianberg I absolutely adore the green rug but it’s not available for pick or delivery. That rug is very beautiful. I’ll definitely get a trailing plant for the shelf. Some of the other plants in IKEA look gorgeous.

Ikea fake plants are pretty good, it took one of my daughter’s weeks to realise my balcony plants are fake.

It needs colour and plants.

Also the picture on the chimney breast is far too small for the space. You could get a large print for there and put that picture in an alcove or somewhere more suitable for a picture of that size.

In very into really plants, but have fake in our under stairs toilet as no window, and they look great. One is about 15 years old

Different natural materials especially wicker

Big lampshade if you have a pendant light.

Adore this rug from IKEA but not available in my size. Can we find anything similar? Size is around 4ft x 6ft

Ive seen a few like that @LightGreenDot but it is too far from how the rest of my house is currently decorated (think lots of grey, exposed brick, wood)

spend it all on a new television stand, it’s a nice room but that stand ruins it.

Have you tried one of the soft memory foam rugs that are meant to be playmats but looks like rugs - would be perfect for yoga! I love ours - looks so classy and is so easy to clean and lovely to walk on! I don't think I'll ever buy rugs again!
