Africa Waterhole Web Cam

My ds1 (8) is doing "Africa" as a topic at school this term (and loving it).

His teacher gave him the address of this website which is a webcam at a waterhole in Botswana. He loves watching it and seeing the animals.

PS Don't check just now though as the cameras are offline and not working for some reason! Check later in the day - after school is a good time.

sure itr was he was a bit cagey about putting back legs down on the ground but managed it to climb the bank

Saw him too. That's great. The thought of him lying vulnerable and ill in the water at night was awful. I'm so happy he seems to be better.

Saw a rear end which went blurred as it walked away - was it him???

I am sure it was george the way he was so careful getting onto the land

I haven't been able to get on either, except for brief moments. Did see the elephants at the waterhole about 15 mins ago, but the camera stalled again.

I wonder if they're having technical problems, or if perhaps something has happened with the sick elephant that they prefer not to broadcast?? Hope not...

Did you all see the Eagles yesterday? I've found a proper pic of them here They were amazing! Can't wait to show dp what he missed - he loves them!

it just moved it's trunk, can't belive it's still alive!

Does anyone know what is going on? There appear to be horrible chomping noises off camera and lots of bird noises....I saw vultures earlier.
