As the original thread is reaching its limits I’ve started a new one for those still wanting advice/support on this crazy journey.

OP posts:

Anybody heard any results from RCS BA MT recall. We have heard about a few results going out but Dd still not heard anything.

Operagirl1 · 24/04/2026 18:22

Does anyone know how Central notify candidates of the outcome of final auditions? They state all final results are on UCAS but I wonder if they email the successful ones. I'm driving myself nuts checking UCAS all the time!!!

Do you know people holding offers at Laine x

Yes, my DC knows a few. Congrats on the offer!

From what I have seen from others, they notify of rejections via UCAS and email successful applicants of recalls. I don't know what they do for final notification but they are still doing final auditions so maybe they won't update until those are finished?

Ours (a rejection) was via UCAS but UCAS did send an email, so got to us without checking UCAS. Good luck!

Sorry to hear of the rejection. If you dont mind me asking how long after final recall did you find out? We are waiting from final recall on the 9th April.

Thanks for your reply. Do you know when the auditions finish?

Someone on another forum said her DS had zoom auditions yesterday for C&C and C&D. She said there were no other options to change dates for them so they think that may be the last audition. Hopefully not too much longer for everyone waiting to find out 🤞🏼

Mumager26 · 26/04/2026 09:31

Apparently more final round auditions tomorrow for Central for Acting MT but think they are probably the very last ones. Let's hope we hear soon after!

We haven’t heard after 2nd round yet which was earlier in the month!

DD had her audition at GSA yesterday. She felt really positive after the dance round and then she and five others were asked to sing again after everyone had performed their songs. Everyone did their monologues just once. The five that sang again with dd were kept for an interview and she wasn’t, which she’s really upset about. She’s presuming it’s a rejection due to her not getting an interview but does anyone know if there’s a chance she might be offered cert he or a waitlist spot without interview?

Truetoself · 26/04/2026 10:14

@WishITookLifeSeriouslythat is such a tough position to be in…. nearly there but not quite. As per my DD you can still get a rejection, waitlist or foundation after interview so unsure if you can still get into foundation after no interview.
Some people get their results the day after and other a couple of weeks so no pattern I don’t think.

Was this for MT? I know a boy who was offered a place at the end of the audition day on Friday

Hi. My daughter was recalled 2 years running for GSA. 1st time not asked to sing again, no interview - rejection. 2nd time asked to sing again, no interview - rejection. She said they say no interview doesn't mean anything, but she knows of nobody ever getting any sort of offer or waitlist without an interview. That doesn't mean it doesn't happen, though.

WishITookLifeSeriously · 26/04/2026 11:49

Thank you for your replies everyone. @NervesAreShotmy DD’s audition was for MT but was on Saturday. Bloody amazing going to get an offer on the day, I didn’t know they did that at GSA! @Truetoselfyour daughter must be very talented, it must be so hard for them to get so close and then get told no.
I hope DD’s rejection email comes quickly so she can move on. I’m so proud of her, she’s still only 17 so I think she’s got plenty of time but she just wants to crack on!

Sorry I hit it wrong. It was yesterday he was there, my mistake. So maybe one of the 5 with your daughter

Reluctantdancemom · 26/04/2026 15:28

@Mcmumager just seen the previous thread where you mentioned EDA accommodation, have you (or anyone else) made any progress on this? Am very worried about my daughter finding people to share with, especially as we will miss the induction day as had already booked a holiday.

EDA are saying wait until end July, but I thought students give notice on rentals earlier than that!

ManualNeeded · 26/04/2026 17:16

Marking place - lots of very useful info here thanks. My dd will start auditions next school year.

Truetoself · 26/04/2026 20:45

@WishITookLifeSeriously does your DD have any other offers? In my experience (from DD), whether you get a place somewhere is not solely based on talent. I would love to have been a spy on the wall during the decision process in the schools

WishITookLifeSeriously · 26/04/2026 21:10

@Truetoselfwe are waiting for a result from Conti, where she auditioned last Thursday (busy week!) and she has an offer for EDA, where she was always desperate to go as she has done associates there for the past few years. She had her head turned by GSA when she did a pre audition weekend and that shot to the forefront. She also has an Urdang submission date for mid May but I’m not sure she’ll send that. She has left things really late and I think if she ends up auditioning again next year, she’ll get in earlier.

Truetoself · 26/04/2026 21:35

If she had an offer from EDA why does she want to go through this process again when there are no guarantees?

WishITookLifeSeriously · 26/04/2026 22:11

She has accepted the EDA offer but I don’t know if her heart is in it. Maybe it’s just temporary and if she gets the rejection email it will give her more focus. Like I said above, she’s only 17 so she has the time but you’re right, there are no guarantees!

What would she do if what came through from GSA was a Foundation offer? It might just be that at this point the course is very nearly full for the BA and they just can't take many more.
I understand her dilemma. GSA and EDA are both excellent places to train, but very different. GSA has no top-up fees, guaranteed first year accommodation, a small and very select cohort, all the facilities of a university, some legendary singing teachers and offers several grad shows. EDA for me is a very slick operation, has great facilities for classes, fantastic training and a very very strong marketing department. Both offer agent showcases, have top agents and have CDs visit in final year. 17 is young, of course, but if your DD decides on a gap year to target GSA again, be aware it is a big gamble. And use the time wisely to keep on training hard. Is it too late to apply for GSA Foundation?
