Drama school auditions 2026 entry- acting/mt- continued

As the original thread is reaching its limits I’ve started a new one for those still wanting advice/support on this crazy journey.

There is still time. My daughter's friend was only offered last year in July for Central MT. Offers carry on coming through from waitlists right up to the courses starting. 🤞

I know this thread is dormant now, due to auditions being over, decisions made, etc, but if anyone is still watching it and can advise, I'd be grateful.
My DD will be starting at RCB on the Acting BA in September. Does anyone know how she can make contact with other September starters on the same course please? She has tried messaging a few people on the RCB page on IG, but they all seem to have private accounts and either can't see or don't reply to her messages.
She will be living in the University Locks accommodation and RCB makes an effort to put the Acting students together where possible, but my DD accepted her place quite late on in the cycle, so may not be with (m)any others. She just wants to join a group chat and get to know a few others a bit, but we don't seem able to make that happen.
All advice gratefully received.

I don’t know - but how exciting! They will be in each others pockets 24/7 within a week of starting so no crazy rush to meet them if she doesn’t work it out

Are you on the harassed performers parents page on facebook? Someone there may be able to help.

Thanks, I tried to join, but was rejected! I think it was because I had to join FB in order to do it and so didn’t have any prior posts. I expect they thought I was a bot or something.

Ah that’s a shame . It’s a helpful group and there is also a version now as your child gets towards leaving drama school .

I’ve tried 3 times. When I click on the Join button, it switches immediately to Pending, then a few days later I get a notification saying declined. I don’t get to see a sign up page.

I would be interested to know about anyone who was refused admission due to their grades. In the offer letter GSA had written to discuss with them if her grades fall short as they may still be able to accept her - and it wasn’t a high target either…….

Depends on the awarding uni. My daughter is on her BA at Italia Conti with a girl who was offered it the year before but then didn't pass her 6th form course, so had to be transferred onto the Cert. When she passed that, she then started the BA a year later after another audition.
