Offers for 2025

ontheturn · 04/11/2024 16:15

I noticed that in 2024 there was an offers thread where people shared when their children. had submitted to ucas and what offers they had received. Anyone interested? We have offers for Manchester, Bristol and Leeds all within ten days of submitting ucas but still waiting on Edinburgh. We do know others who submitted at the same time who have had Edinburgh offers already.

My ds got an offer from Bristol today for Economics and Finance, AAA.

MintTiger · 17/02/2025 23:23

It has been radio silence for computer science (undergraduate) from Durham, St Andrews and Edinburgh. RUK and non-contextual. Predicted grade 4xA*s. Has anyone heard anything, had any offers and are RUK and non-contextual. I know we need to have patience, but it’s hard! Thanks

My daughter got a book your offer holder place for Edinburgh through email a few days ago but still doesn't have an offer!

My DC is still waiting to hear from Durham for Computer Science, the final one, not contextual. Someone in her class has an offer from Edinburgh for Computer Science, but I think they may well be contextual.

My ds who has offers from Exeter, Bristol, Leeds was rejected from Manchester y'day for Economics and Finance, I'm guessing it's because he doesn't have further maths a level or maybe it was his PS, who knows?!

LighthouseCat · 20/02/2025 21:12

Anyone heard yet from Warwick for Maths (MMath)? All TMUA scores are out now so was hoping we might hear soon after but nothing yet. DD is probably v borderline thanks to TMUA.

crouchendtigerr · 21/02/2025 00:12

My ds had his offer for MMath from Warwick, they are definitely coming out, I don't know in what order or anything, seems pretty random

crouchendtigerr · 21/02/2025 00:13

Ds did get a v high score, apparently he guessed some of it and just kept going. We're very surprised by his score: 7.9

LighthouseCat · 21/02/2025 07:09

@crouchendtigerr that's an amazing score : )
I know some offers have trickled out but I guess those are the obvious ones (over 6.5 TMUA) or contextual. Just going to have to be patient! Well done to your DS. Is Warwick his first choice?

Perfectlystill · 21/02/2025 08:25

DD has had all her offers for Ljb Arts apart from Southampton, which is weird as they are her least favourite option and, we thought, would be the easiest to get into.

Anyone else waiting on Southampton?

CautiousLurker01 · 21/02/2025 09:00

Has anyone heard from KCL recently?

ontheturn · 21/02/2025 18:18

Non contextual Edinburgh history anyone?

Still waiting for History & politics here @ontheturn We've accepted it will likely be March or April at the earliest so trying not to worry too much.

Dery · 21/02/2025 21:27

DD has offers from Durham (Liberal Arts) and Exeter (Flexible Combined Honours) - she’d hoped to have Exeter as insurance but it’s the same offer as Durham (A*AA). Yikes!

They’re the only unis who offer her subject combination as a 4-year course (except for London but we live in London so that’s ruled out). She has also applied to St Andrews (her combo exists there also but as a 5 year degree) but of course it’s very hard to get into. She particularly wants Durham so now it’s fingers-crossed for exams.

This all makes me realise we had such an easy ride with elder DD! Her course was less competitive (MML) and she got an ABB offer from her favourite uni (against predictions of A*AA which is what she got) - it was her second lowest offer. She’s in her second year there now.

MollyButton · 22/02/2025 09:12

My daughter is still waiting on Bath, but unless it's a disaster at Offer holder day will probably go to Durham (her lowest offer)

Which date are you going to? My DS has booked for April

MollyButton · 22/02/2025 11:23

The March one.

NCTDN · 22/02/2025 21:24

Been to Sheffield offer holder day today and very impressed. All the staff and students were so welcoming.

purplewibble · 22/02/2025 21:28

That's good to hear NCTDN, we are going to the Sheffield offer holder day in April.

caringcarer · 22/02/2025 21:44

My Foster son applied last week. His offer went in late because he had a huge wobble and was not sure he wanted to go away from us. If he'd have applied on time he'd have got a contextualised offer for being in care. Now I'm not sure he will. He wants to study Sports Coaching and Management Undergraduate degree with integrated Masters at Worcester University. He's come on so far since he's been living with us but he still lacks confidence. I really hope he gets the course he wants but he has a back up University College Birmingham where they give £5k bursary cost of living. I'm also a bit worried he has applied to please us. He's a bit of a people pleaser.

DD got an offer this evening for Warwick Maths. 5.9 TMUA

MollyButton · 22/02/2025 11:23

The March one.

22nd? We’re booked o to that one and were discussing parking and arrival time this evening!

LighthouseCat · 22/02/2025 23:06

@Woollyguru congratulations to your DD! Mine has said she's seen a few offers have come out for Warwick Maths today according to Reddit. Getting closer to her TMUA score. She's bracing herself for rejection though.
