For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

well, it is bad in so far as all car crashes are. I would like to point out that I wasn't drunk, high or tired. Twas a genuine 'what the fuck happened there then' crash. Anyway, tis done.

How goeth the kitchen porn Guad? Do you know what tiles you are choosing or do you have to seek them out? We are on the same mission.

OsmosisBanana · 11/07/2009 13:54

DD is entertaining herself with scarves, a pillow and muffin crumbs. Imaginative

littlerach · 11/07/2009 14:14

Tikles sound more fun Guad

Boco · 11/07/2009 14:30

I want tikles, where do you get them?

OB that sounds awful - how did it happen? [anxious driver}

I have radicalised my hair! It's really short, and they straightened it, so i don't feel like me. I fully expected no one to recognise me when I got home, but they all seem unphased. dd2 has really short bob too, graduated like, so she looks a bit like the petit filous girl - the french peasant child one. She likes it. I'm a bit still.

OsmosisBanana · 11/07/2009 15:10

I don't really know Boco, over corrected and lost control of the beast. Thin the people's house that it happened outside were in a worse state than me. They came out saying 'don't worry, we've called the ambulance' to which I whimpered 'fuck the ambulance, get the police and a fire engine'. Twas not pretty, thought the blumin thing would explode.

V handsome policeman though when he did turn up and stupidly young [old emoticon]

mollyroger · 11/07/2009 15:52

I'm doing benign neglect on this thread today - too hungover busy to enforce Fran's Law.

Er, you're all doing very well....carry on. As you were...

OB! Great to see you! x

OsmosisBanana · 11/07/2009 16:11

littlerach · 11/07/2009 16:17

Oh and some chilli nuts, choc covered coffee beans and soem delicious pomegranite cordial. And a salad with flowers in.
he is wonderful

Guadalupe · 11/07/2009 17:11

Yes, yes to kitchen porn. Fired earth have 50% off some of their glazed tiles so we've just bought some samples. Going to go and try them out later.

I keep standing in front of cooker for ages staring dewy eyed. It is a wonder, with a massive ring for the mothership.

Boco - I can't imagine your hair but I bet it looks nice.

Is it time for a gin and tonic yet? Yes is the answer.

Guadalupe · 11/07/2009 17:13

Molly - ds1 and friend did not get into Terminator or whatever it was earlier. Apparently the woman said 'you know what I am going to say don't you', and ds's friend said but I am 12 next week. Fool.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 11/07/2009 17:17

Nice hair Toot, Boco and Boco jnr. It's my turn next weekend, although I'm going to have to scrape the pennies together.

Choc covered coffee beans? I know I don't like coffee, but they sound foul. Are't they really hard?

We were going to a bbq but ds has been a nightmare today and he's off to bed soon, so we're going to miss the bbq. This week he has sat up from laying, pulled himself to his feet against the sofa, and wave and say ba-ba (bye bye). I think all this developmental stuff has knackered him out.

He is a little bugger when tired. He doesn't just give in and fall asleep, he throws himself around and winds himself into a frenzy - which is why we've knocked the bbq onteh head.

littlerach · 11/07/2009 17:19

No they ar elovely Lemur.
Liking coffee may help

OsmosisBanana · 11/07/2009 17:20

I have one already clutched firmly in my claw Guad. Tiles... we found a co called waxman that do some good ones, fink they are suppliers to other places. DH doesn't like any of the tiles I like. I like the Underground station shaped ones, Jim thinks horrid. He is only a man though.

I got a dress today. I wanted it in April but couldn't do £140 (duh) but it traumatised me and I have been dreaming about it ever since. I thought it had sold out but went in today and t'was reduced to £40 and only one in my size. This we shall call serendipity. where I shall wear it I do not know, but it called to me.

littlerach · 11/07/2009 17:22

SB has arrived in UK!!!

Guadalupe · 11/07/2009 17:30

Hooray for SB!

What are the underground tiles again, are the rectangle ones? Dh likes those but I think I fancy square.

OsmosisBanana · 11/07/2009 17:50

yus, the rectangular ones. I think might be better in bathroom than kitchen.... but i still like em

Guadalupe · 11/07/2009 18:14

No, I think they are good in kitchens too. My friend has them and I've seen them in a couple of other houses. Also, one of the fired earth kitchens had it today.

I really like the cracked lustre square ones with sand in here, but dh isn't sure. He thinks they look grubby.

TooTicky · 11/07/2009 18:14

OB!!!! Can I hug you? {{{{{{}}}}}

TooTicky · 11/07/2009 18:18

Oh sorry Guad, avert your eyes...

pinkspottywellies · 11/07/2009 18:45

OsBa! Good to see you. about the car. Glad you're ok.

I have kitchen as usual Guad.

Boco hair sounds gorgeous (you and dd!)

See you soon Franny! (she's lurking. I bet)

DS is feeding almost incessantly and waking in the night more

Got my sponsored walk tonight. I've been twice for a walk last week (with bits of running thrown in) and I've started going swimming with a friend (well once but we're going to keep going)

Vegging going ok. Not been keeping up with thread very well.

mollyroger · 11/07/2009 18:47

Guad - those tiles are lovely!

OB - no hot festy action thi year - skint-oid

I have just returne for 3rd circle of hell. At least.

8-yr-old-boy's disco party - with 3 girls and 30 boys and not enough adults and a party-dj who had not got a CLUE and had the boys so hyped up with the Prodigy and The Cheicl Brothers and Dizee rascal and hard bass. Then there was only biscuits and cheap squash to drink. well, you can imagine!!

I was going to leave the boys but when I sussed out the situation, i decided to stay with my hangover - purely to help with csualties. every 5 minutes there was a casualty....I am a nervous wreck.

mollyroger · 11/07/2009 18:48

I have only had raw peas, and strawbs on the f&V front but am plannig huge stir fry later. honest.

TooTicky · 11/07/2009 18:49

Pink! Good to see you.

Molly, that sounds like the stuff of nightmares.

Boco, can we see your hair please?

FrayedKnot · 11/07/2009 19:08

God luck for tonight, Pink

I like those tiles too Guad - which colour? The aubergine ones are lovely.

OsBa - oh dear, about teh car. Good job no harm done to you. Thanks for the tip about the gin

I am feeling a bit washed out today.

Two portions of blueberries will hopefully put me right, plus apple & berry compote, some lovely veg box toms, lettuce, cauli, carrots & leeks.

I want to see hair pics.

FrayedKnot · 11/07/2009 19:09
