For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Molly, you live 250 miles away from me. That is lots. But of course I will let you know if I am passing.

OB, I couldn't see you. Dd is still there. Perhaps my eyes were just being funny.
Have you been to the Banksy exhibition?

Pointy, I have beach

FrannyandZooey · 12/07/2009 15:55

well i have spun out my squeezy jam feedback about as long as i can manage, so will have to bugger off again now
it seemed rude to pass by and not drop in to say hello
and other pointless justifications

i did indeed get LOADS done this weekend but it was a bit harsh to realise that every time i achieved something i just wanted to come and brag tell you all about it
i expect it will wear off

If I ever get round to going to visit my dad, molly, I will stop of at yours on the way.

Walk was bollox fine. It was raining and I was mardy and tired but I did it and we raised some money.

I have so many stupid little things to do. Like downloading photos and booking appointments and listing on ebay and washing. It's never-ending

Stir-fry with veg. Onions on my hotdog. Satsuma, grapes and peach in the bath. I was in the bath, not the fruit. And my walk was spread over yesterday and today so I claim both days exercise!

SuperBunny · 12/07/2009 19:37

HELLO!

Am back safe and sound. DS bit out of sorts but has been FAB. F&V severely lacking but we walked to the beach today so that was the exercise bit done. I went in the sea

LR - good news about insurance. Boco, I'm sad about DD2s hair and i don't even know her but I

Molly, I fear I will have to go to Leeds sometime and I will come to you and beg for tea and cake.

Nice to see OB and Simples.

Hope Franny is ok. Love to you all.

Blueberries
Salad
cherries
Baked beans
mushrooms

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 12/07/2009 19:47

FrayedKnot · 12/07/2009 20:08

Hey SB, welcome back!!

I can't believe you went in the sea either! Was it really windy?

Our sea was v. rough today.

SuperBunny · 12/07/2009 20:53

Well, I paddled, I wasn't actually swimming. Was a bit choppy but not terribly huge waves. Wasn't quite as freezing as I expected either!

mollyroger · 12/07/2009 20:57

SB ARE you not jetlagged or anything??

What a wonderful-sounding day you have had. How is ds taking it all>
oh please, if you do come to leeds ever, let me know You too Pink!

we have had a stupid, stupid day. Had loads to do but we all slept in til 10am Never happened EVER before!
ds lost his wallet, we think it was yesterday in a shop but ewe didn't find ut until we due to meet friends at a family fun day in park.
AFter 2 hours of frantic searching, dh decided to stay at home and panic so i took boys to park.
Was a friend's 30th - not a close friend but rally nice - so we went to meet her as we knew she was having a picnic there.
But some of her friends got really arsey with me and the boys for turning up 'uninvited' and made a really big thing of not sharing any cake etc with us. Which the boys didn't really understand and were a bt upset, even though I was trying to whisper to them. We had bought our own picnic but was still really uncomfortable and bit petty. Then boiys ran off with their friends and I was forced to stay there, feeling uncomfy, because the boys wou;dn't have been able to find me otherwise...

then dh ben v grumpy pover his wallet and cake for packed lunch didn't cook. And then I burned it. Sigh

Boco · 12/07/2009 21:11

Welcome home SB! How does it feel? Are you happy? Am so pleased you're back

Molly those ladies sound rubbish, what miseries to not share cake and be mean

I have just had really frustrating work meeting with some people who can't agree what they want me to do so I just sat and listened while they argued.

SuperBunny · 12/07/2009 21:20

Oh Molly, what a day. Picnic sounds very awkward.

No jet lag (yet) - I didn't sleep from Friday morning til last night so I think that helped.

pinkspottywellies · 12/07/2009 21:23

Oh Molly what a crappy day. I expect you'll look back and laugh one day [eternal optimist]

pointydog · 12/07/2009 21:44

And neice

On the up side, I have managed ot do a lot of work thi safternoon as dd2 aslepp.

Boco · 13/07/2009 17:54

Blimey you're having a run of bad luck with illness LR, hope dd2 better soon.

DD1 just had her grade 1 ballet exam. I was more nervous than her I think. It's all so formal and weird, they have to have their buns done just right and they told me I had to hire new outfit as hers was so tatty. She loved it and says it went well so she's pleased. Parents not allowed to watch so had to sit in the changing room with the other nervous whispering mothers. All very strange.

Have had lots of blueberries, raspberries and strawberries as they were on offer at the co-op. A little tart.
