For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I am pissing off everyone I know because I have been singing the Happy Days theme for days now

Seriously, if there's a better feel good song for people in their 30s, I do not know of it!

Fuck that's not long SB

Respect to the fact you are still MN ing though

Fran, hope next week is a little better for you

Party went well.
I had a tear or two as I have known some of the children since they were born but will still see them when they go to school.

And some good news - at last - our loft room has develped cracks in the walls, since the builders started next door. We had the insurance people round. It isn't subsidence or strucutrural (phew), just cosmetic.
And they gave us £1100 to repair it
Or spend as we see fit
Woo hoo!!!
It will actually go on all the jobs that need doing but was welcome news.

grapes

mollyroger · 10/07/2009 18:00

terrible nickname, simples.
How you doin'?

Boco · 10/07/2009 18:47

I think 100 is either away or she has swine flu. Or possibly both.

Dd2 has decided to have her beautiful long blonde wavy hair cut off. I've been trying to talk her out of it for ages but she really wants it cut up to her chin, so have appointment for tomorrow. It'll grow back won't it. Erk.

Guadalupe · 10/07/2009 19:57

Quite a few people round here seem to be getting it now.

I think your dd would look cute with short hair. I know what you mean though. Ds2 has just had his mop chopped abd he looks really old.

Simples · 10/07/2009 19:59

I emailed her and she eitehr ignored me or is away

Hello everyone

I went out for lunch and had chips. Just chips. Not even one tiny cucumber slice.

Safe journey SB

EachPeachPearMum · 10/07/2009 22:46

What a fab title!
Just popping in to wish SB a safe journey....

TooTicky · 11/07/2009 02:38

TooTicky · 11/07/2009 02:53

Obviously I am wondering quite a lot

littlerach · 11/07/2009 08:16

I think she must be by now.

How exciting

Did you get any sleep TooT?
How are things?

Fran, we'll make sure no random nuts and seeds get listed

Dd1 is off to Paulton's Park now and I ma being a neurotic worried mother
She'll be fine, I'm sure

My neice is 1 today - it has gone so quickly.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 11/07/2009 08:48

I hope dd1 has a lovely day LR.

We're supposed to be going to a bbq today, but it's raining. I do hope it stops, there's nowt worse than trying to pretend you're having a good time eating soggy burgers and getting a wet bum on the damp grass.

SB must be over the Atlantic as we speak, how exciting. She's probably agonising over if she made the right decision for ds's meal
