For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Well, I will be surprised if pointy sticks around to make it to ten after such blatant, blatant, um, what's the word I'm looking for, superceding?

Guadalupe · 14/05/2009 20:34

Urrgh at liver. Have you even cooked it? I had to cook lots of bits in a tray of gravy once. The pieces that poked out of the top looked like sharks fins.

nickytwotimes · 14/05/2009 20:35

Borrowing my pal's elliptical trainer as I have buggered joints. It is fab. I am actually quite enjoying it and my back pain is a bit better.

Today I have had:

OJ

Is it a vegetable now?

FrannyandZooey · 14/05/2009 20:36

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 14/05/2009 20:37

I never talk about apples - the fruti of mean intention.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 14/05/2009 20:37

Rofl.....don't know why that comment has tickled me but I am roffling!!

No luv, you ain't chopped liver but I was here first. (I know you did the title but it is like the skimming stones question, does the first one count cos the stone HAS to land at least once?)

[sticky out tongue emoticon].

nickytwotimes · 14/05/2009 20:40

An elliptical trainer is one of those cross training things where your feet go round and round and your arms back and forth. It is almost non-impact, but weight bearing, cardiovascular and leg/arm toning.

Friend calls it an Oprah machine.

Guadalupe · 14/05/2009 20:42

It sounds like it might involve sticks and green velvet.

nickytwotimes · 14/05/2009 20:45

Lol at sticks and green velvet!

this is not me on it, sadly

Is it bf'ing awareness week this week?

Baby Lemur waved at dh today. We've been doing it in front of him for about a fortnight, then today he waved back.

I cried when he done it and kept saying to dh 'he's communicating with us, did you see? He's communicating'
Dh replied 'well it's not really communicating, he's just learnt a reaction to an action'
I replied 'oh fuck off. He IS communicating'

Stumblebum · 14/05/2009 21:15

I just want to say - I love your thread titles! They always make me smile. Thank you whoever chooses them.

(scuttles off before I'm asked how many portions I've had today)

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 14/05/2009 21:17

Hmm...well no disrespect to your DH, but isn't that what communication is anyway?

Awwww..... I have gone gooey.

DC's have been a bit hard work, and getting used to doing quite a lot on my own, but DD said she was sorry and she will always love me....gulp.

FrayedKnot · 14/05/2009 21:23

This is one of my favouritist titles ever.

FrayedKnot · 14/05/2009 21:25

Why is Molly marjing the thread?

Marjorie?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 14/05/2009 21:28

FrayedKnot · 14/05/2009 21:39

Please all tell me what you had for supper today or having tomorrow.

We have got into a bit of a rut and I need some fresh ideas.

FrayedKnot · 14/05/2009 21:41
SuperBunny · 14/05/2009 21:42

Oh no, what about Pointy's titles?

Thanks for the good wishes everybody. I have always refused to leave without DS so the plan is to come as soon as possible after documents are signed. Three years of fighting and more money than I could ever imagine but Could all go wrong but hopefully not.

lol @ LR and her offers!
