For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Guadalupe · 15/05/2009 19:18

These are all the hard ones everyone leaves at the bottom of the packet.

A food coop is is mega points on the hippyometer isn't it. I expect I do have leanings though other times I am pretty straight. Hokey cokey leanings maybe.

Boco · 15/05/2009 19:19

I'm not a vegetarian.

The claw was like pointy said, and the bit that comes off, like a fingernail, I kept it to impress the children and they have put it in their matchbox with a blue tit egg.

Molly you will be fine, your home sounds lovely and you are lovely, so this person will see that straight away.

I am going out tonight, which is good.
Dp in London this weekend and am feeling

littlerach · 15/05/2009 19:25

Haven't been able to read it all as have worst headache in the world.

Have been to Safeguarding course and i hate learning it all
Fortunatley the woman was v professional and didn't draw on experience too much.
But it was a long day.
And there were no windows open.
And large chandeliers which gave out rubbish light and then the projector light.

Hence the headache.

Nice veggie food (for a course) but No F&V, excpet cucumber in a sarnie

Since I got in
salald leaves
cucumber
raw broccoli
tomaotes
pear
banana

Guadalupe · 15/05/2009 19:27

I have a headache too but I think it is because I am proofreading my friend's dissertation of the psycholinguistic processing of proper nouns. I don't know what that means yet. I expect I ought to by the end.

pointydog · 15/05/2009 19:28
  1. hippies: toot, moll
  2. mother earth and other leanings: fran, avi, boco, moveit, bunny, guada
  3. straight up and down, no twists: 100

rach, 2 or 3? And what is Safeguarding?

mollyroger · 15/05/2009 19:31

oh LR, I did that course. Was very upsetting - some of the photos

FrannyandZooey · 15/05/2009 19:33

100 is so not straight up and down
we've seen her artistically dishevelled children and her slovenly kitchen

I have hippie/ mother earth leanings? Pointy, I notice you weren't on your list.

Ouch Boco, hope you are ok

Molly, do you have wine? It sounds like you need it.

Crappy morning here too. DS cycled a mile to his playgroup only to be told that it was canceled and my friend called me at home AFTER I left and decided not to call my cell phone. Poor DS. So, I took him to the bakery for a treat. Then to a party where there was nothing I could eat - everything was meaty or scary coloured goldfish crackers. DS was delighted.

Coffee
Hot chocolate (DS insisted he wanted it so I ordered it and then he didn't drink it )
Criosant

pointydog · 15/05/2009 19:38

well, based on outward appearances and on teh comparison group, I'd say I'm 3.

pinkspottywellies · 15/05/2009 19:41

marking thread. went into town today.had 101 things to do. now exhausted and can't settle ds

all my hippy leanings are for practical Anne-like reasons. growing veg, real nappies, breastfeeding = saves money. slings (newly converted) = easier than buggy and don't have to ignore dd, ergo educational.

sweetcorn, carrots, broccoli, salad garnish oh dear

ah off he goes. overtired I think

bought a mango today. Wish me luck!

Right. Off to clean piss of the back seat of the car

Do seeds count?

pointydog · 15/05/2009 19:46

2 and a half counts as 3 because it is just based on outward appearances, not on minds

pointydog · 15/05/2009 19:46

pinkspottywellies · 15/05/2009 19:46
