For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I did..the Daktarin 2% is that the oral daktarin?
Have you had recurrent thrush probs with ds or is this the first time?

FrannyandZooey · 22/02/2009 14:19

it's the standard cr3eam you get for thrush - you would usually use it on fanjo i guess

we haven't had it oral / nipple before quite like this but i have struggled with it since he was born, and i did suspect i had thrush in my breast before, but treated with probiotics

FrannyandZooey · 22/02/2009 14:20

we have both had antiobiotics and are possibly not in full health
i think this is problem rather than it being passed around through toys etc
i could be wrong though

OP posts:
FairLadyRantALot · 22/02/2009 14:22

it is possible that it is toys.
Obviously the antibiotics wouldn't help!

FrannyandZooey · 22/02/2009 15:00

yes, maybe
i haven't seen it in his mouth before, but it is possible

I feel for you Fra being on that roundabout of treatment for something seeming to cause another problem.. one thing getting better, another thing rearing its ugly head. It feels very chronic doesn't it, especially when drained, and especially when you feel like you're doing everything right.

Avi I hadn't heard that. Finally the children ate the carcinogenic scones (guests brought cake hurrah) and I fired the pots to within an inch of incineration and they turned out hmmm acceptable.

OsmosisBanana · 22/02/2009 17:27

I have been assembling kitchen cabinets and sorting and lifting and fiddling screws in and out for so long with so much concentration I feel like I might have been on drugs all weekend. What a waste of feeling like shit, if I had actually done summat to deserve it...

Good evening my vegmunching comrades

I suppose no-one has seen a BABY hidden under the cushions anywhere?

I used to be in love with Morrissey when I was 15 but although teh lover affair didn;t last, I do still love the music.

Elbow are great. I was really disappointed I missed out on tickets to see them last year.

Have been to seaside, it was about 10 deg colder than inland and I wasn;t prepared. It wAS also poncey seaside and I wanted to do the galleries and shops but of course was with DH and DS so we did the bookshop but the rest I just had to stare longingly through the windows.

Fruit in muesli
Apple
Clementine
Rather tasy calzone with aubergine and rocket

Supper will be veg soup and carrot cake

FrayedKnot · 22/02/2009 18:11

God news about DS2's eczema improvement, Franny.

FrayedKnot · 22/02/2009 18:11

Good

pointydog · 22/02/2009 19:06

I have been trying to up my fruit and veg content.

fruit salad - oranges and grapes
orange juice
home made meusli (yes, an apron is almost growing onto my lap)
more fruit salad
green beans
more fruit salad

The trick with me is making large bowls of fruit salad, as you see

mollyroger · 22/02/2009 19:22

beans, broccolli, kale, carrots, onions, sweet potates, Apple juice. Apple crumble.

I made apple sauce too. But it was more of an apple soup....

FrannyandZooey · 22/02/2009 19:26

pointy that's very good
you could very nearly be allowed to come and play with the veggers

Evenin all.

Um,
Raisns
Pear
Tomaotes
Lemon --cheesecake-

Bugger, that's crap. isn't it?

After a lovely afternoon with friends at park, canal and walking, a blooody horrid dog (lurcher cross) came and jumped on dd2 (who is titchy).
She screamed.
As you would.
It knocked her over and jumped on her back and was, I think, nipping her, and my friend managed ot grab her and i got her and the stupid wanker owner came over and was a fuckwit.

And the worst thing was.
In NOvem, ber we were in the same place with MIL and the same wanker and his mate were really rude to MIL when she repromanded him for not having the dog on a lead when it ran at dds on tat occasion.

Poor dd2 was petrified.

I was shaking and so angry.

She says she could feel it's teeth on her bottom, but bot really a mark (thank god).

littlerach · 22/02/2009 19:39
