For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

(BBB I was only joking, you can be 2nd honorary sticker monitor. Come back )

FairLadyRandySlut · 13/02/2009 20:54

Toot...awww why a blah feeling? Things in general?
Oh, and we had sudden snow yesterday...on my way from Kettering to Corby all fine, went into Morrisons, for 3/4 of an hour for shopping and when I came out it was a nightmare...
And, yes, Hands are important to almost everything in everyday life...and it is brill to see what difference OT can make to their lifes...not just immediately but also longterm....it can make the difference between returning to normal function or inability to do so....and in longterm conditions it can mean that things may never be as bad as they could be, and that whilst thye can't be stopped, the effect they have on life and the way the conditions deteriorates (sp?) is so much altered for the good, etc...!

BBBee...really shook my confidence...and actually waited this morning for dh to return from work, so, he could take me...made me a bit late...but I just worried about it to much...it was, of course only the drive and our road that were the problem...but...
And lol...don't worry about it....I was only taking the mickey Takes more to offend me, lol

stuffit...I think the whole Breastfeeding debate is quite important. I think it has far more agendas now, etc...and women more and more realised these, etc....! The only thing I find really sad is, that so many women often get hurt, not intentionally, just by "default", often due to their own feelings about it! It is a shame, it really is!
and phew that it wasn't me with fb...
dry fruit only counts like one, like pulses...however..I am sure Franny used to say, that as we do 10 rather then 5 portions a day, we probably could count them as 2...

ILIke...not heard of that movie before...will have a look later and see if it owuld be something I would like to watch!

Atilla, glad that you are improving physically
Oh, and I happily use you as Guinnepig (sp???)

Aww Guad...how are you feeling?
And poor your ds1, too

TigerFeet...glad your m/w is happy with you knowing extended bf'ers...etc...! Can't believe you already had your Booking in appointment...wow....##

pink...your m/w doesn't sound to supportive...sigh....maybe you should remind her that whist they can advice you, they can't make you do anything...your baby your body really makes me grrrrrrr!
lol at you beign teh stickermonitor...reminded me of Spongebob episode where he is the Hallmonitor...so funny

lol Franny....and that veg spoof version of that song as title...good thinking...if only I was, erm, creative....

Boco, lol you lentil witch you....

lol SB how are you?

Hi POinty ///

rofl molly at you prefering your Kids to sing Swearwords over that song....btw...you haven't namechanged yet into mollyrogers....or you waiting till tomorrow?
Sorry to hear that you are feeling rough....

Well...I had a good day really, Tutor Visit went well, my Educator sang my praises (and I returned the favour) and anyway, just good day really....they are really impressed with my good memory, lol...what they don't realise is that I have a great memory to remember useless shit really, rather than maybe like, important facts that might actually be worth remembering, lol!
As for F&V

Strawberries (1 1/2portions)
Satsumas (or Clementine)( 1 portion)
Cherries (2 portions)
Mushrooms/Peppers/Onions/Leeks/Tomatoes (4 portions)
Apple ( 1portion)

9 1/2...welll.... not to bad...

pinkspottywellies · 13/02/2009 21:06

Fairlady, midwife is quite newly qualified so used to going by the book I guess. She rang the clinic while I was there and said 'are we allowed to let ladies go to term +14?' So without me having to be too direct, at least she knows now that it's an option. I'm quite happy to have the daily monitoring too. If we get that far. Just been out for a stompy walk tonight and might do it every day now - get him jiggling down Started reading about nipple stimulation on here - an hour at a time I couldn't be arsed!!

pinkspottywellies · 13/02/2009 21:11

ROFLOLOLOLOLOLOL @ resident hippy

It was funny anyway but now that I've read the talk round-up it's a million times funnier

FairLadyRandySlut · 13/02/2009 21:11

bless...but might still be worth making her aware of this...
I suppose she possibly hasn't got Kids herself neither and she is younger?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 13/02/2009 21:14

The Pizza Express in Ips never seems to get that busy, especially if you go early. It's on Lloyds Av. If you face Debenhams with the Town Hall behind you, Debenhams will be on your left and Lloyds Bank on your right. Between the two are some arches leading up a hill. Pizza Express is up that hill.

There are also cafes in Debenhams and M&S (both on the top floor.) Can't think of anywhere else tbh. There's a Zizi's but it's off the high street and a bit difficult to direct to if you don't know Ips that well.

There's also a Frankie & Bennys, Nando's, Chimichanga's, Ask and Old Orleans where the cinema is, but that's a bit out of town too.

Blueberries
banana
dried fruit
cherries
beans
tomatoes
carrot
celery

FrannyandZooey · 13/02/2009 22:09
