For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

bunny what do you mean morrissey is a bit of a twat
surely not
i mean are these NEW twat revelations or just the usual ones? because i am not denying he has had his, erm, moments
dp likes to tease me
i made him watch Moz on jonathan ross and said "isn't he marvellous now, he looks so happy and confident and mature"
dp: "yes, marvellous old racist"
me: surely that was the media twisting things, or a misunderstanding
dp: yes, he's a misunderstood old racist

repeat ad infinitum

Beetroot
Cabbage, carrot, onion (coleslaw)

Hurrah!

morrissey isn't very likeable but he is rather wonderful

FrannyandZooey · 22/02/2009 10:23

oh i think he is likeable and wonderful
i am in denial about anything dodgy he ever said
surely it must just be the media
surely?

pointy ds2's eczema really good atm! he now has thrush and a cough and still this terrible nappy rash and i am getting grey hair, but that is beside the point

have not read the thread but MORRISTY IS NOT A TWAT.

i like you fruity funksters as you are all a bit unhinged on my wavewlength.

I need to get baby gift for unconventioanl richa nd lovely old school friend - any good ideas? what good stuff have you had?

particualry any kind of funky baby grows. He is a lovely man and has helped me loads and want to get him something nice.

mollyroger · 22/02/2009 11:50

I'd buy a nice bottle of malt for when the baby hits 18.....

AtillaTheHoney · 22/02/2009 11:52

Oh, I am with SB all the way on Morrisey, he makes Leonard Cohen look like the life and soul of the party...and Elbow are pretty awesome..

I would recommend any one gets a home work out machine of some kind....it is an adrenilin hit on tap and I have had the best morning start that I have had for a long long time...[happy]..

I detest flatpacks and would rather use crates.....have a gin on me OsBa.

TF.....big sympathies on headaches.... they are truly miserable.

Hi molly!

Gifts for friend BBBee. An unusual mobile, DD had one and at 6 she still has it up.

Had a sleepover for DS and three boys and it was a huge success in the end and one lad helped me tidy up and all their manners were fab...

This maybe daft but maybe DS2 will improve in the spring and it is a seasonal thing Franny, a dose of vitamin D might be just the ticket...

Out on my bike later with DS, hope all have a great day. I am feeeling inspired, positive and optimistic, it is nice

FairLadyRantALot · 22/02/2009 12:08

Franny, lol at you having a religious experience with Muesli, lol
your poor lil son though...is the thrush getting any better? What you using to treat it?

mollyrogers...my ms loves Weetabix....not my thing...if I want something sloppy, than I prefer good ole Porridge

SB, that sounds like a very lovely muesli, don't think you need to have Muesli envy at all
don't really know what Morrissey is like as a person, but always liked his voice and used to adore the Smiths and listened to one of his new tracks the other day and loved it!

Oh FK....do you know the reason for the Headaches? Sounds very unleasant!
And yeah it is all a new ball game when they start playing out alone. Sven started playing out with his friends when he was 4, but we were living in a very quiet culdisac on a Army Estate...and we would all keep an eye on the Kids for eachother, etc...!
Yannic and Flynn had a couple of times last year, Flynn was just 4 and Yannic nearly 6...but it didn't realy work out, so, they will have to wait a bit longer...oddly it wasn't ys that was a problem it was ms that couldn't be trusted.

OB, in my opinion flat packs should come with a healt warning, along the lines : may cause insanity!

stuffit, I am sure you will get used to your new cooker soon...is it differently fueled to your old one?

well done Tigerfeet

BBBee...oh am no good with cool presents, sorry....

Huhu, to all those not mentioned....(((hugs))),handshakes or High Fives to you all

Well, never listed yesterdays, as I was so and and al that, not that there was much worth listing:
Baked Beans
Mushrooms

how bad was that.
Not sure I will do that much better today

Am in a odd mood again, bloody moodswings right now... dh is at work and I still managed to have an argument with him. It just pisses me off so much that I constantly have to be after him finding out when he works so that I can arrange childcare. And I had to contact him, to find out that he is working tomorrow...I mean...great...we are very very very lucky that my friend/childminder is so fab and doesnt mind short notice...otherwise we would be pretty much fucked...!
Kids have managed to create havoc downstairs whilst I had a lay in...they got pretty much every single game out of the cupboard and pieces are everywhere, and no idea what belongs to which game, and crap like that...and well...arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...someone get me out of here, please....lol...
I think that is me done wiht moaning!

Tatties · 22/02/2009 12:13

oooh dear... well I think you know my position on Morrissey... I think he is both likeable and wonderful

But you either get him or you don't

I am not about to try and convince anyone either as I want him all to myself

FrannyandZooey · 22/02/2009 12:44

well a threesome surely tatties? [hard stare]

what do you use on your nipples?
I am just asking, because originally they always prescriped me the Dactarin Oral for my nipples when I was bf'ing and we had recurrent probs, until the GP said to use a proper strenght anti fungal cream. Which tend to be not bf friendly, however, I was advised to put it on after I bf'ed, that gave it time to work till the next bf was due and there shouldn't be anyhting left to ingest, but GP advised also to wipe anything remaining off with a wet flannel. Before bf I would also use Lansinoh, that would add an extra barrier and of course it ensured that my nipps wouldn't get raw (which orginally they did, because I didn't realise about the lansinoh before feeding)...
I know it is not an ideal, but it was the only one that meant that it was the last thrush incident.
We obviously did also do all the otehr precautions, like boiling everything that he would have contact wiht with his mouth, and boiling bf bras and using single use breastpads and regularly changing them, etc...

Is his bum a combination of thrush and eczema?

H has fallen out with me because my neighbour took over oiling my bike chain for me... I wasn't most pleased becuase I can maintain my own bike, but short of offending him, it wasn't that big a deal to go with it, so I can look forward to a summer of frosty atmospheres because neighbour 'advises' me a lot on my bike, despite the fact that I have been cycling for 20 years and know enough to get by, and H gets jealous.

I have tried discreetly to tell neighbour but he seems to be missing the point. crap. I actually feel sick.

And I said sorry..

FairLadyRantALot · 22/02/2009 14:02

oh no....your H seems to be a very jealous and trying to control you by manipulation? Not a good situation to be in

stuffitllama · 22/02/2009 14:10

quick list

many sultanas but 2 portions only allowed
carrots
peas
roast onions
giant radish

six but if you count the extra sultanas which I'm privately going to do it's eight

FrannyandZooey · 22/02/2009 14:12

fairlady i have daktarin 2% for me
i am boiling clothes but not toys - we would have to boil whole house really if aim was to clean everything he has sucked
i don't know what is up with his bum it has been bad since christmas
we have tried what seems like everything - including thrush which i think was working - but the dermatologist said it was eczema not thrush, so we stopped, and it came back
now treating for thrush again

sorry very long and dull but you did ask
