For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh yes....ain't nece-celery so!!

ta lemur..

Love being a 'fuity fucker'...keep getting asked why I am smiling to myself!

Enjoy your nephew Boco!

Oh, Franny...I was referring to the fact that I had listed nuts.

I know sometimes I do it as a wind up. In this instance I was frustrated that I felt I had had a healty balanced start to the day, and yet literally could barely stand up...I know in all honesty it is probably the anaemia, and therefore not going to be affected by what I eat instantly, but It is nevertheless frustrating.

I have had this morning,

a large portion of fruitsalad,
medium handful of nuts
and a piece of flapjack.

I have had a quiet morning pottering about and not doing anything too strenuous and yet my energy is almost at rock bottom.

I am in a better place mentally but Oh lordy it is frustrating. I so want and need to go for a run, and I know the adrenilin rush would give me a big kick...but is not the best idea.

I have so much I want to achieve right now, and somedays I can hardly even sit up straight. Waiting is very hard.
And my tongue seems to improve one day, and be no better the next.

I have a supplement. Am eating live yoghurt, have cut down refined sugars and yeast based products, and still the stupid pastilles still stick to my tongue and just leave a circle of better bit of tongue...it takes over an hour to dissolve them!

Nopt feeling sorry for myself in the slighttest but am impatient for an improvement.....

Hello Avi...

oh and have also changed to soya milk, but don't mention it to Toot cos it makes her smirky and smug

FairLadyRantALot · 07/02/2009 11:59

molly...that is where my Grannytrolley comes in handy...no more carrying heavy shopping but do be careful walking on ice....don't slip and hurt yourself...

ILike....just thought about you, because ys was singing I like to move it move it, I like to move it move...

Boco...Kids really could do wiht a volume controll button aswell as an on/off one, I think

Franny....we never could get on with the Moltex nappies , and Pampers were totally rubbish and would make them flare up, Huggies were o.k.'ish on their skin, but I found they were likely to leak...the best ones were Lidl ones...they seemed to keep their skin good and didn't leak and stuff...and much cheaper than the others...but NOT very eco friendly...

As for forcefeeding Kids....well, I had to eat Jam Sandwiches as a Kid....and would not go near Jam in a Sandwich ever....however, I do like it once it is baked into something, the Jam, I mean...like I have a lovely biscuit recipe, where you put jam inbetween and love that...and I love Jam Donuts...
However I was also forced to eat cheese...and couldn't stand that as a child, but as an adult I love cheese...

Well, have had Grapes and Banana so far...and just eaten my way through a whole packet of chocolate digestives..
Well, I did give the Kids a few but still..erm...

Boco · 07/02/2009 12:06

Ohhh, i have a horrific rice pudding story. At primary school Darren Sinclair sneezed a greeny into the middle of it, and the dinner lady told me I could eat round it! I retch at th very thought of it now.

Avi have you had another migraine?

FairLadyRantALot · 07/02/2009 12:07

Have you all been talking again?

ahundredtimes · 07/02/2009 14:11

I vote for celery.

I love 'anyway, I must get on' too.

Am having v. nice day. Also going out tonight. Also went and bought a dress to wear I had convinced myself that I was a lumpen mess, but in dress I looked nice, so now happy that I'm not a lumpen mess. I think I might have body dysmorphic thing. Also bought purple tights to wear with mid-life crisis heels. Three girls in shop said not mutton dressed as lamb, and I hugged them and tossed my hair about and made them stay and talk about it.

AH - how about a walk? I know it's not the same as a run, but I love my morning walks and feel v. good after them. If running is too much, a good stride out might work?

can't remember what else there was. Cept Focus of course.

TooTicky · 07/02/2009 14:14

Avi, why have you been in bed since Thursday?

TooTicky · 07/02/2009 14:14

Boco, that is brilliant.

TooTicky · 07/02/2009 14:15

mollyroger · 07/02/2009 14:16
