For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

FrannyandZooey · 18/04/2008 20:38

let's sit down and not move and hope we stay put and the others find us

OP posts:
MrsCarrot · 18/04/2008 20:41

oh, you have moved yurts..

thats because we gave you a run for your money, Franny and it became necesary to fit words around the food. You did eat my tomato and basil bread one though. wink

FMV - I understand that. I forget about lurkers. Those farms are good aren't they, camping for slackers or at least those with babies.

FrannyandZooey · 18/04/2008 20:43

yes and I would DO IT AGAIN MrsC
I was saving you from the nasty wheat in it

zippitippitoes · 18/04/2008 20:44

i seem to only have till ten to get tidied up

well move stuff around my bedroom the rest of the place is just its usually shite self

i haqvent decided what to do about dgs having abirthday tomorrow

and i havent got him anything yet

i have also booked my car for an mot tomorrow morning..as it is a week overdue amd i have offered to drive to birmingham tomorrow night and i think a wise person might decline to travel in it so it wil look like a rather ungenuine offer wont it

MrsCarrot · 18/04/2008 20:47

you are a kind thoughtful person, Franny.

I am undoing my good dinner with revels that dh is fetching me after he collects ds1 from the disco, after the orange revel thread.

BBBee · 18/04/2008 20:54

is there a thing I have missed where filth and 100 know the same person?

Like a same RL person?

How did you find out?

Or am I the victim of my own skim reading?

I like that I said I was emulating FK's eating and she is having crap chocolate. Well if I must....

BBBee · 18/04/2008 20:55

oh revels - good call carrot, very glamorous.

MrsCarrot · 18/04/2008 20:55

wasn't that a year ago, BBBee?

MrsCarrot · 18/04/2008 20:57

I know I know, they are skanky crap chocolate but I fancy them. I don't eat the malteser ones though.

BBBee · 18/04/2008 20:58

oh there is aome lines you cannot cross then?

I completely missed the FMV 100 thing.

zippitippitoes · 18/04/2008 21:00

i think revels are horrid

MrsCarrot · 18/04/2008 21:02

they are horrid, zippi

Boco · 18/04/2008 21:08

I really want chocolate now. Have none or even any biscuits or anything nice.

Dp went to the supermarket. He emailed from work saying 'Ok, compile a shopping list and send it to me before the end of the day, and I'll go to the supermarket. But don't put 'cakes and presents for me' on it.'

Obviously I did put cakes and presents for me on it, but he ignored.

MrsC I didn't want to disagree with Franny and say that you're not neurotic, but i did think of that first time we met and how we sat and compared neuroses.

FrannyandZooey · 18/04/2008 21:16

MrsC is LESS neurotic than some of the REST of us
you know it is true

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 18/04/2008 21:17

'treats for me' is a staple on my shopping lists Boco

OP posts:
FrayedKnot · 18/04/2008 21:18

No no no

I asked DH for revels because I like the contrats and not knowing (despite cheap taste) and he brought back something tht was not revels because they only had very big packets of revels

And then I saw the revels thread and I have been ignoring it

BBBee - what I have really eaten today:

Muesli, fruit salad, lettuce / cuc/ beetroot / pepper salad for lunch, about the equivalent of two cold homemade pizzas (I made rather a lot yesterday night), fake revels, an After Eight (at work), sausages in pitta bread with rocket and raosted tomatoes, a hemp seed bar

Not necessarily in that order

Franny I think you have a normal and healthy appetite

FrayedKnot · 18/04/2008 21:21

The contrast I meant...i.e. one is crunchy and the next is chewy and so on.

Now I really must stopped besmirching this pristine new thread with talk of cheap chocolate

ahundredtimes · 18/04/2008 21:25

MrsC - yes please for floorboard link. Yes please, I am frightened of the one of which we speak. Private floorboards sounds great, even better if not in Yorkshire

Can I be top of not neurotic list? I am not v. neurotic. I am too lazy to be neurotic.

And those were more glamorous vegetables MrsC. Dh was making me laugh yesterday by pretending to be on Master Chef. 'And how are you preparing the carrots?' 'I am boiling them'.

MrsCarrot · 18/04/2008 21:26

You don't want revels though, they are filthy. I feel sick now, dh bought a large bag and we all stuffed them within 10 mins.

Boco - we did, yes, and I said I had bug anxieties and then we gave you all a bug.

Franny - I've just seen on an old ish thread that you said you would ask your friend about arsenic in rice milk. Did you ever do this? I didn't know about it, or soya causing infertility. Ds2 has thhose things every day.

zippitippitoes · 18/04/2008 21:29

i managed to understand from frannys post that a staple on her shopping list was a treat

MrsCarrot · 18/04/2008 21:30

floorboards did you want the tipi in a clearing one?

I like the look of the clandestine camp but there wasn't enough space between the caravans for me.

I really regret the revels. I feel slimey now.

ahundredtimes · 18/04/2008 21:33

Is tipi in a clearing a different one? Then yes please.

I clicked and there was a cow staring at me. Now, I know I said I wasn't neurotic, but a cow? And this is a good place for a holiday? You can have too much wildlife on a camping trip ino.

Actually I might be a bit neurotic. About birds, and blue skies and collective camping, and people's necks (or more particularly their throats) and and and god, I'm on a roll. I might be the MOST neurotic person on this thread - I just am top of the Most Repressed list.

Oh and thank you for link. I shall look again. The cow was a shock that's all.
