erm.... does that include twirls and diet coke?

yep, I need to do something, am turning into a blob. Holidays in May

QuintessentialShadows · 05/04/2008 23:21

Diet coke is fine.....

Actually, we should have ONE treat a week. So, ONE piece of cake, or ONE chocolate bar, on a friday for example, but only one!

I have to go to bed as I am beginning to misread thread titles, will check in again tomorrow, lol!

Ooh, me too please. Although we've set Thursday as the start date, to get dh's 40th birthday celebrations out of the way!

hoxtonchick · 05/04/2008 23:23

. no chocolate here for 3 days which is nothing short of miraculous. am only snacking on fruit. onwards & upwards....

jennster · 05/04/2008 23:34

Ooo me please. Hello

jennster · 05/04/2008 23:35

But I don't eat sweets crisps icecream

Jessie3 · 05/04/2008 23:37

Me please. Dh has informed me that he has been surreptitiously trying out scales in other people's houses (freak) and has discovered that our scales are three quarters of a stone under. Which makes me nearer 12 stone than 11. Brilliant.

Arabica · 05/04/2008 23:38

Can I join you? All my trousers are too tight and I am too vain to get the next size up.

thritbies · 06/04/2008 00:13

I'll join in.
Am already doing WW- lost 13lb since Jan- and on weight loss tablets from doc.
And ate a full easter egg about 2 hours ago

ladette · 06/04/2008 00:18

Yes, I'm with you. Are you going to do weigh-ins and stuff (just so I know how seriously I'm going to have to take this?!)

trulymadlydeeply · 06/04/2008 06:41

I'll try - but I'm a terrible snacker and the kids are on holiday .... (see - finding excuses already)!

Wine doesn't count, does it???!

aGalChangedHerName · 06/04/2008 07:20

I lost 3st ish last year befor my wedding by eating healthily and not eating crap so you can all do it!!!

However i fell off the wagon and have put on half a stone since getting married. Going t my old diet class to start again so count me in too please?

squigglywig · 06/04/2008 15:42

Ooh yes please. This baby weight has GOT to go. I'm a dreadful one for chocolate in the evenings when I'm exhausted. Dried fruit just is NOT the same - no matter how virtuous I might feel!

me23 · 06/04/2008 16:03

I'm with you all, I'm supposed gto be dieting anyway but I find it so difficult to cut out treats. so cutting down to one a week will really help. Glad we starting on monday because I've just bought an apple cake reduced to 55p in tescos I need to lose 2 stone all together. ok so shall we have weigh ins I think they would be good to keep us motivated.

thirtysomething · 06/04/2008 16:11

can I join please? I need to lose 3 stones and every diet started on Mondays fails by Friday! Even when I stick to them the weight comes off painflly slowly (borderline underactive thyroid). Have decided just to eat v. healthily and no treats, as that can be sustained rather than real deprivation diets that make you fatter when you finish them! Anyone got any good metabolism boosting tips? Also, is it true the pill makes you fatter?

janeite · 06/04/2008 16:19

Can I join too please? The only good thing about going back to work after half time is that I eat much better when I'm at work. I have eaten so much crap over these two weeks, culminating in half a box of oreos last night (and I was evil mummy and waited until the girls were in bed before I opened them). I'd like to lose about half a stone so please feel free to nag and bully me if I admit to eating rubbish.

squigglywig · 06/04/2008 17:19

So are we agreed on one "treat" a week? And the rest of the time it's healthy snacks?

Did anyone else get absolutely ravenous with b-feeding in the evenings? Any clues as to what I could substitute for pic and mix or chocolate??

purplemoon · 06/04/2008 17:22

Me too... need to drop some pundage before the summer...

purplemoon · 06/04/2008 17:23

(erm I think I meant poundage..even though it's not a word anyway.)

PuppyDogTails · 06/04/2008 17:30

Yes please, can I join.

I start a new job (post mat leave) at the start of May and I want to look nice!

My problem is that when I start eating nice stuff I can't stop until the whole packet has gone.

Can we do some suggestions of healthy snacks to take the urges away? I can only think of fruit and nuts (mmmm Cadbury's Fruit and Nut) which I think will get a bit boring after a while.

PuppyDogTails · 06/04/2008 17:32

Are we doing weigh ins tomorrow morning? Or is that a bit draconian?
