I'm going to join in Hi

I am BF and been using it as an excuse for ages whenever I tuck into some chocolate.. I've been wistfully remembering the days when I went to the gym and ran loads, well I ate a lot then but it was all healthy stuff, if you think like a healthy person you'll eat one.

Got some online food shopping coming tomorrow and I've added loads of fruit and veg and just blueberry muffins in the 'unhealthy' category instead of chocolate bars and biscuits. I should get things like yoghurts too, I used to eat one when I fancied something sweet and whilst they do have sugar in they're not that bad... esp plain yoghurt with a bit of honey stirred in.

hairtwiddler · 06/04/2008 21:56

Count me in. This is so my weakness. Baking with DD, biscuits at work, chocolate. I'll turn over a whole new leaf with you all. Motivation - holiday in June. I don't have any scales though (too tempting to get obsessed with weight) so will go on how clothes fit!

notnowbernard · 06/04/2008 21:59

God, yes, biscuits at work

Giving them up is tough.. also the hot chocolate from the drinks machine

But I managed last week. Yogi Tea, it's the way forward!

hoxtonchick · 06/04/2008 22:06

respect at the choc ices arabica .

i went out for a big carvery lunch today, so that wasn't great. but i did have lots of veg. no chocolate (but 2 of mil's homebaked scones). just had a bagel with cheese, tomato & carrots for supper.

have friends for lunch tomorrow though....

sparklyshoos · 06/04/2008 22:27

hi, i'd like to join in too please. just stopped BF a month ago and have returned to work, so not getting out as much with the pram (one good point of DS being a poor sleeper, I got to walk loads - needed the choc to fuel me ).

Am back to pre-preg weight, but had put a stone on since getting married 6 months before I got pg, so would like to get that off if poss - esp as prob TTC again this year sometime! - my prob now is I'm back on the vino after stopping the BF, so my calorie intake has shot up .

Def up for the treat once a week - my friend has treat friday, which i think is a great idea. good luck to us all!

QuintessentialShadows · 06/04/2008 22:52

Fantastic! How about we all jump on the scales tomorrow morning, and get ready for a weigh in, and have ourselves a week ahead of healthy foods, and one treat at the end of it (if we can stick to just one, that is)?

We rock! We can do this!

I don't have scales but I would like to join in! I can put my hand up with the 'packet-eaters' and the 'terrible snackers'

Nice idea with a Friday bar QS - but can it be, say, 200 grams ??

I'm not very good at crunching an apple, but I tried for while making a bowl of fruit salad and keeping it in the fridge. That worked well when I wanted to snack - I will start again tomorrow!

purpleduck · 06/04/2008 23:05

Yep, me too
I am already doing the No-picking one with Wolfie et al

BUT

I have had shingles lately, and been an evil monster to live with. I NEED to cut down on the sugar.

squigglywig · 07/04/2008 06:44

I don't have scales sadly. My discharge weight after DD from 12 weeks ago was 72 kg though. I've lost a bit since then so I'm going to guess at 70.

I want to drop 2 dress sizes to be back to pre-preg weight.

trulymadlydeeply · 07/04/2008 06:49

Right! Weighed myself this morning for the first time for ages. I don't really need to lose any weight as I'm 53 kilos, but my face is reflecting my crap diet, so I'm hoping that by cutting out the garbage which is my everyday diet, my skin might clear up.

Going to need some hlep to do it - so thanking you in advance, ladies!

GOOD LUCK everyone - we can do it!!!

hairtwiddler · 07/04/2008 08:01

Big bowl of fruity porridge for breakfast here to help keep those hunger pangs at bay! Good luck everyone.

PuppyDogTails · 07/04/2008 08:02

Right - 11 stone 8.

Just realised I start work in THREE WEEKS.

Reckon I can get down to 10 stone by then?

mybestfriendiscalledstig · 07/04/2008 08:17

hello

I've actually been doing this for 2 weeks on my own , and have lost (as of this morning) 2 1/2lbs. But I was rather badly behaved over the weekend...

I'm looking to loose 3/4 stone to bring me back down to pre-first baby weight (the baby's 4, btw )

Off to yoga tonight too

notnowbernard · 07/04/2008 08:31

No scales here, but estimate my weight at about 10st. Want to be 9 1/2. Will weigh myself tomorrow at work

Good luck, all!

Really agree with you re the bad skin, Trulymadlydeeply. I've had more blemishes recently than I had during adolescence

gymgym10 · 07/04/2008 08:35

Well am same weight as when had dd3 who was 2 just before Christmas! 11 stone 4 & before having dd3 was 10 stone so have one stone + to get rid of! Have never had problems losing weight before but have been trying unsuccessfully for 18 months! Please let this be for real! Am going to aerobics tonight.

MegBusset · 07/04/2008 08:40

Hi, can I join?

I am 9st 10lb (am a shortarse) which is half a stone over my pre-pregnancy weight. While BF I have been able to more or less eat what I like, but now we've gone down to 2 BFs a day and what I eat is starting to show

My weakness is hot chocolate and Dairy Milk!

madcol · 07/04/2008 08:46

How is everyone's first morning going?

midnightexpress · 07/04/2008 08:57

.

I'm in. Another one with a sweet tooth here.

I don't have scales, but have two weddings to go to and a bit of post-natal weight to shift. DS2 is 14 months now so figure the excuses are just about dried up.

FunkyGlassSocks · 07/04/2008 09:12

I'm 10st 12. Have eaten 2 x toast with marmalade and a cup of tea for breakfast. Plan to do my best and not snack on naughty things today.

jennster · 07/04/2008 09:31

Left over apple pie (small piece and it's gone now) a banana and an apple. Not sure what to do for lunch.

liahgen · 07/04/2008 09:43

I have no scales so am gonna go by clothes. My plan is to wear all my loose trousers all week, (that's ok, I can slob, kids on hols), then Saturday, try on my jeans.

Anyway, been good so far, had my coffee, (daceff) and bowl cornflakes. Have even got chicken out ready to cook tea so won't be tempted to get convenience food.

Good luck everyone,

liahgen · 07/04/2008 09:43

daceff??? wonder what that is?

snorkle · 07/04/2008 09:46

Can I join in too? By the scales this morning I'm 11st 12oz and I should definitely lose some. I'm really bad about snacking - 1 a week will be tough, but I'll try & stick to it with your help.

madcol · 07/04/2008 09:50

Anyone else have toddler-induced bingeing. I 've only just noticed that I turn to the fridge when he gets really grizzly.
Hence lots of snacking gets done.

snorkle · 07/04/2008 10:00

Yes I started snacking when they were babies/toddlers and tend to finish their food if they don't. Trouble is that was 10 years ago & I've still not really kicked the habit.
