For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

If anyone doesn't like the title they can stuff it. The marrow, that is.

I am stuck here by myself on this daft named thread now. I feel like I am wearing clown shoes.

Anyway, have eaten an apple, 4 plums (bit unripe), a kiwi, raisins, some melon.

I am scared at the amount of stuff I have to do this week, mostly work stuff which needs to be done without children around. And ds's nursery has closed for the holidays. And two of my friends have been asking if I would consider doing any childminding hah hah hah.

I have been trying to pollinate our pumpkins. The male and female flowers don't seem to have co-incided much yet, and I feel like a bit of a pervert, out there jiggling a paintbrush around in the private parts of a pumpkin

the lettuce has been so successful it is nearly all eaten, and one part is producing flowers - whoooops

lionheart · 23/07/2007 13:28

Excellent title, except for the middle part.

Malfoynomore · 23/07/2007 13:51

Hi All,
Franny how do you do your links...when I tried the old way it doesn't work and when I do it the way it's described in the info at the side I end up with " on each side.... and if I leave the " out then it doesn't work

Well, so far had apple and pear and some dates (but not a whole portins) and the last rest of that pasta with that sauce, which probably gives me 1 -2 portions...

Well, had my GP appointment today , about the implant and it's coming out on Thursday ( I am now cr*ing myself....yikes....
Other then that I am just pissed off with stpid Tax Credits...honestly they are a load of idiots there, me thinks...grrrrrrrrr....sorry if anyone here works for them...but we had nothing but trouble and if there was an opt out option I would go for that

Malfoynomore · 23/07/2007 13:52

Lullabyloo, I have a bad garlic habit, too...there can't be enough in my food...yum...tis good for you, you know

Lullabyloo · 23/07/2007 13:53

(i eat it raw......so does ds)

Lullabyloo · 23/07/2007 13:54

bit of an onion habit too

Malfoynomore · 23/07/2007 13:56

lol...bet you don't have problems with any stinging insects usually....

I been several asked by people, who obviously don't know my usual mn-id to change my HP themed ID because it's obviosly a spoiler...should I...because, I have not read the book and wouldn't have a clue if it is or isn't....

MrsCarrot · 23/07/2007 14:19

Tell them they're spoiling it for you by asking, it's not your fault you are psychic without knowing it

TooTicky · 23/07/2007 14:32

No problems LL, will do. What about assorted knights? And how do you feel about guns?
Thanks for the recipe btw. Is umeboshi paste v. expensive? I know whole umeboshi are.
Right, the cake...
I whizzed 1 baked sweet potato with half an apple and about half a banana (leftovers), added about 2 tbsp sunflower oil, 1 oz barley flour, 1 oz rye flour and I think 2 oz strong wholemeal. Completely forgot baking powder. Oh, and there were raisins in it too. It was very nice. Baked at approx. 180 until it seemed done.

Am eating mushrooms and plum tomatoes.
