For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Franny.....do you look like Gillian M ?????
I imagine you tall & willowy, very graceful & softly spoken......probably way off mark

I shall hate it when summer fruits are no more ...winter is soooo uninspiring

FrannyandZooey · 25/07/2007 18:05

do you look like Gillian M ????

Sad
Tatties · 25/07/2007 18:56

Oh Avi I most certainly WOULD bother with the slash den thing (and yes it does help if you have knitted a hat with normal needles! Do tell me about it please)

Franny I always picture you as Trinny for some reason. I think it's because Franny sounds a bit like Trinny

I have a beany veggie soup bubbling away...

lionheart · 25/07/2007 18:57

Who suggested such a thing? Should we go round and sort them for you Franny?

Anna Friel is pretty.

FrannyandZooey · 25/07/2007 18:59

LOL I do NOT look like Trinny

Lionheart do you know I do believe it was GREENY

yes please sort her out, someone should

FrannyandZooey · 25/07/2007 18:59

Tatties has NQC been on your thread to help? She is the Queen of Knit Hats AFAIK

lionheart · 25/07/2007 19:01

She is scary, Franny, she could probably have me.

ahundredtimes · 25/07/2007 19:08

Are we still 10/10ing over here? I don't dare wander in on account of current 0/10 lapse into old ways.
How is everyone?

lionheart · 25/07/2007 19:09

Hello, 100.

TooTicky · 25/07/2007 19:13

What have I missed? All of a sudden I don't understand anything. What is dukkah? Is it a Moroccan spice/nut thing? Or am I totally wrong?
And slash dens? Where people go and knit viciously?

ahundredtimes · 25/07/2007 19:14

Ah yes, is always the way here. Then everyone gets ill, perhaps it's all the furious knitting or something. Is MrsC about?

Filchymindedvixen · 25/07/2007 19:14

I seem to have missed that bit too TT. Is there a secret 10/10 thread where they discuss such things (the filthy beasts!)? Or am I crap at speed reading?

lionheart · 25/07/2007 19:22

tatties, I can xerox the pattern from Stitch and Bitch if you like (for the umbilical cord hat suggested by pruners on the other thread).

I missed the slash den as well.

Lullabyloo · 25/07/2007 19:23

sorry ....was asking about tapas ideas on another thread t'other day...franny gave me the recipe for dukkah

tis all gone ds & I have wolfed the lot

lionheart · 25/07/2007 19:42

And while we're dealing with lonely threads, does no one care about the big old trees, see here ?

You can hug them while your tape measure is out.

BBBBasilisk · 25/07/2007 19:56

sticth and bitch and slash dens will some dukkah - am a bit confused - is it all in code?

I am on allotment watering duties whilst my friend is away but as oxofrd is underwater have not been round but then I have just remembered that she has a grrenhouse - will I have killed it? I haven't watered for four days.

Filchymindedvixen · 25/07/2007 20:12

erm...yes. Ypu may have to lie and say your path to the greenhouse was blocked by a Tsunami!
