i'm amazed you run at with 3 makes my one seems no probs will have to keep up training while i have the chance.

glitter in the water you have to wear a wetsuit which takes the chill off (a little) and keeps all the wobbly bit in.

Veggiemummy · 05/07/2007 16:51

oh i meant at 'all' with 3 Norks

mustrunmore · 05/07/2007 17:44

I'm starting to feel very left out; you're all so much more inspired and fitter than me now Mind you, even at peak of fitness, tri wouldnt have interested me. Bikes hurt your bum, and too much swimming is more mind numbing than running If I had the opportunity for more/other exercise, it'd be a kick boxing class or some such.

glitterfairy · 05/07/2007 19:01

Whatever suits though mustrunmore even if we get out once a week each it is better than nothing at all and I am really slow.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 05/07/2007 19:05

Welcome shelly.

DP is going to be late due to incident on
North Circular, so swimming may not happen

Glitterfairy, I dont suppose you've had a chance to note down a few days worth of meal plans have you?

Veggiemummy · 05/07/2007 19:13

it is quite hard to get inspired in this weather.

popsycal · 05/07/2007 20:37

I feel so so tired. Physically exhausted. I have gone to bed at 8:30 for the last 3 nights. DS2 is no worse than usual so that is no excuse. I just feel mind-numbingly exhausted. I HAVE to run tomorrow but can't imagine where I will get the energy from. RFL next Sunday.

DoubleBluff · 05/07/2007 21:09

This weather doesn't help though does it. It is making me ffeel really sluggish.
don't know how you can get so into swimming I find it so so dull, can't even listesn to music!
Hopping to do 5 miles in the morning whilst DS2 in nursery, but have to wait in for a delivery first. Wanna bet he will come early?

Veggiemummy · 05/07/2007 21:25

I don't really have trouble with swimming and getting bored, it's a chance to think without any interuptions from DS and DH, but now i have a waterproof case for my ipod and can listen to music to get me moving, like listening to upbeat music while i run. Also i do miss listening to my own music so it gives me another opportunity to do that, or podcasts.

Pops you poor thing, your not coming down with something are you?

TheDuchessOfNorks · 05/07/2007 21:44

popsycal - why so tired? You must either be coming down with something or you've been overdoing the running. How much have you done in the past week?

If you do get a cold, take the week off from exercise and look after yourself. You know you can do the 5k RfL next weekend without anymore 'practice runs'.

popsycal · 05/07/2007 21:59

ds2 is a well documented atrocious sleeper - truely dreadful.. Also think I have a severe case of end-of-term-itis

(whispers...but I may also pop tp asda tomorrow for a stick to wee on.....)

Veggiemummy · 05/07/2007 22:04

or have a spa day with a massage
mmmmmm massage.

Veggiemummy · 05/07/2007 22:05

i was wondering that as was the thing that made me very sleepy a couple of years ago.

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 05/07/2007 22:06

Popsy - might you be anaemic? I suffer quite a bit and these days it seems to just hit me like a ton of bricks. Fine one day and then the next I get hit with this immense tiredness ( similar to that early pg tiredness).

You don't have to run tomorrow. You've put the work in and honestly even if you didn't run between now and next Sunday you;d do just fine. Don't overdo it now.

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 05/07/2007 22:08

Ooo - just seen your second post.

Deffo don't overdo it if that's the case

VeniVidiVickiQV · 05/07/2007 22:10

popsy!!!!!

That'd do it i reckon.

Well, I went swimming! Yay!

I did half an hour - 20 mins in the slow lane, then 4 lengths in the medium lane, which required a minute pause for breath, then a further 10 mins in the slow lane.

I think I did pretty good to swim non-stop for 20 minutes!!!!!

Veggiemummy · 05/07/2007 22:11

night night hope you get the result you want Pops

Veggiemummy · 05/07/2007 22:12

well done VVV, really well done, fast lane here you come

TheDuchessOfNorks · 05/07/2007 22:53

popsycal - you'll have to hang your Nike's up for a bit

vvv - half an hour is brilliant - and 20 minutes of continuous swimming is SUPERB.

popsycal · 06/07/2007 06:18

I hope I am not....wrong wrong timing in so many ways. But 'tis possible

I think it is more likely just 2 and a half years of no sleep catching up. Anyway dh is taking boys to PILs tonight for 2 nights. I have to work til saturday tea time so can't go. So 2 lie ins for me and if I feel like it, a drive to the beach for more scenic running.

popsycal · 06/07/2007 06:19

Oh and def not anaemic - full bloods done around a month ago due to silly blood pressure again. i am never anaemic even though I have look like I am since I was 10!

DoubleBluff · 06/07/2007 06:53

Oooh popay keep us posted.
Thought you were having a lie in this morning?

glitterfairy · 06/07/2007 07:37

Popsy it could just be training, lack of sleep from ds and the weather. I am finding it hard to get inspired these days of rain. Also I went through a week some weeks ago of mind numbing tiredness and think it was over training and not eating enough carbs.

OK Diet yesterday VVV

porridge with a scant teaspoon of live manuka honey
Courgette and dill soup for lunch
plaice with veggies and two new potatoes

Hope that helps! Also did 45 minutes swimming in the pool with my new flippers on.

popsycal · 06/07/2007 09:34

i did lots of running last week

and i am not eatinng as i should i guess...

DoubleBluff · 06/07/2007 09:37

Have my kit on and am raring to get out...
but have a delivery due, wish they would hurry up. The longer I wait the shorter my run.
