i had thrush a couple of days ago but it got really bad on a sunday when the chemists were closed. my friend told me to put some natural yoghurt down there because of the live bacteria but i didn't have any natural yoghurts but i did have some blue cheese i thought the bacteria would be the same and do the same thing. so i heated the cheese up a bit and spread it downthere. i have been doing this for a few days now but now my bits have turned a funny blue colour and the smell is awful. what should i do?

The lumps are probably poo that the mice have left behind when they ate the cheese while you were asleep

heavenis · 04/07/2006 13:40

Pickled onions do they go with blue cheese.

Beauregard · 04/07/2006 13:40

I am finding this hard to believe!

What is pouch of douglas ,have heard before .

heavenis · 04/07/2006 13:42

The lumps are pickled onions aren't they or is a bit of branston.

Blandmum · 04/07/2006 13:42

more about the POD that you probably want to read

Cod 'lost' a tampon in one, and it is now part of MN folklore

BettySpaghetti · 04/07/2006 13:44

You should try the Branston Sandwich Pickle -much less lumpy than the original Branston pickle

Beauregard · 04/07/2006 13:45

Oh right so i have a cul-de-sac up my chuff then

Blandmum · 04/07/2006 13:46

if you say so, dear

festiveface · 04/07/2006 13:48

it's really made me laugh and i needed cheering up thanx!!

Beauregard · 04/07/2006 13:48

Dp said to give your ladybits a couple of slaps with a kipper

Blandmum · 04/07/2006 13:49

fish and blue cheese??? don't be daft.

A ripe pear, now that would go well!

Blandmum · 04/07/2006 13:50

If, however, this is a serious post. I would definatly have a word with the GP. You don't want to mess with the normal flora of the vagina/vulva

waterfalls · 04/07/2006 13:50

If you get shooting pains up your back passage when ovulating, its because blood has made its way into the cul- de- sac..............so my gp told me anyway, I had a very very bad case of it after being sterilised, I went to see the gp, he said have you taken the tablets the hospital gave you, my reply 'what tablets' the gp went mad and phoned the hospital in a rage for forgetting to give me the tablets, he gave me a prescription and I had to double the dose, as the bllod was by then nearly 2 weeks old.............ewwwww.............agony I tell ya

TinyGang · 04/07/2006 13:51

I am so glad this isn't in the recipe section.

heavenis · 04/07/2006 14:00

What could the title be for a thread in receipes ?
Today I went to my lady garden and found ...what else goes with it

bluehorizons · 04/07/2006 14:30

OP posts:
heavenis · 04/07/2006 14:36

Have you got a shower head, can you blast it out.

Maybe ring your pharmacist first? Or NHSDirect? for some advice before going to the GP?

Canestan cream can be bought over the counter. Sounds like you need that quickly. It should help clear up a fungal infection. You may need an antibiiotic cream from the docs though if you think things have 'progressed'.

If you really want to try another home remedy you can sew some string though a garlic clove (peeled and whole, careful not to slice it or gash it) and put that up there. It can help clear up lots of infections down there. You will smell of garlic though!

a good link on things to use - it mentions garlic halfway down under natural remedies HTH

Highlander · 04/07/2006 14:42

it's been yonks since somehting on MN made me laugh out loud

heavenis · 04/07/2006 14:42

Do you have good water pressure and is your garden over looked ?

Whizzz · 04/07/2006 14:43

UCM is that you ?

bluehorizons · 04/07/2006 14:44

i have just stood in my garden trying to hose it out but i dont think anyone saw it. i will try the garlic clove i think. can cheese just disapear? im sure it hasn't fallen out yet. what if the garlic gets stuck too?

sugarfree · 04/07/2006 14:45

How can you get a tampon stuck in your pouch of douglas,it's not accessible from the outside.

heavenis · 04/07/2006 14:46

Don't try the garlic just yet,or you'll really put him off tonight. Not only will you have to ask if he likes blue cheese, but garlic too.
