See I get Christopher Ecclestone.

Sometimes think your mum's lost it a bit with Arsene Wenger... Grin

Sometimesiwonder · 28/09/2012 13:18
Grin
Gigondas · 28/09/2012 13:32

Er I used to like arsene Blush (until I saw him commentating on French tv wearing a shellsuit). Benedict is a good actor but looks a bit too much like a cod fish so you lot can have him. Paul Bettany- yes, Christopher eccleston not so much.

Took 30 minutes to change dressing - was sore but she doesn't think it is infected and has padded it up nicely .

Gigondas · 28/09/2012 13:33

And no school is tiring her out but to point of mania. May have to send her to judo with little ned and little smee.

Gigondas · 28/09/2012 13:34

Nope smee tiredness is showing itself as manic early waking and noiseSmile.

Have a good night sometimes- dh equally robust on our tickets to see George Michael in two weeks.

Sometimesiwonder · 28/09/2012 13:54

Ah bless him, Gig Grin

I told dh that he had no right to complain as I went to see Bruce Springsteen with him but as that was more than 20 years ago it didn't cut as much ice as I thought it might Hmm

Gigondas · 28/09/2012 13:57

Yes deep purple is my comeback to dh when he complains - that is a night of my life I will not get back.

mas natoora does lots of cheese you can order that was recommended as a nice but pricey foody treat by my nutrition lady.

MaryAnnSingleton · 28/09/2012 14:04

gig thanks for link...
sniggers at Deep Purple ! glad there's no infection.

Deep Purple Shock Above and beyond....

Enjoy the coffee and company, MAS Smile

have finished my hard article - hooray! (At least until the people I wrote it for come back and say it's crap, which is entirely possible, I think it may be Grin )

KurriKurri · 28/09/2012 14:19

Afternoon all, I am Envy of the concerts you lot have lined up - I don't think Dh would go to GM or MA, - he'd like Bruce Springsteen though. he has very kindly Hmm and unrequested by me, filled my ipod with bands and singers he likes, so have some right guff on there atm.

Coffee morning went well -we raised about £100 - not bad for a very small group - we had a raffle etc as well.

DH's open day going well so far, -they had some nice little children in who were very keen on trying experiments, and some blase teenagers who tried to be as uninterested as possible Grin. But they all got badges and stickers etc. DH and colleagues all have to wear a a polo shirt inscribed 'You can't say IFR without saying the F word - Institute of Food Research' - which is about as unsnappy a slogan as you'll find anywhere Grin

gracie - I think news from onc. sounds optimistic - he wouldn't say unconcerned if he had any worries.

Sometimes - hope DD enjoys her drama classes - I'm sure she will Smile

Good luck to all having treatment today (think some people are on rads IIRC)

Right now down to the important business:
Benedict Cumberbatch - yes
Christopher Ecclestone - yes
John Simm - very much so
Laurence Fox - yes yes
Paul Bettany - maybe

Oh and that chap who plays Matthew in Downton Abbey is quite nice too - but I've forgotten his name.

Sometimesiwonder · 28/09/2012 14:26

Ooh yes, John Sim - though he does look a bit short

KurriKurri · 28/09/2012 14:29

No he's not as short as he looks Sometimes (have seen him in real life ) just very slim build so he looks shorter (although by that logic I should look about 6'7" Grin).

KurriKurri · 28/09/2012 14:34

Can i just ask a mammogram question?

Do you get sent your appointment directly from the hospital, does your onc. say that you need one and arrange it, or do you have to organize it yourself?

I am due to have one, but haven't heard anything from the hospital, and thought perhaps I should ring the BCN and see if she can organize one for me.

smee · 28/09/2012 14:36

John Sim?! Shock Always looks like he needs a good wash to me. Must be all the drugs you've taken..

smee · 28/09/2012 14:37

Ring BCN and ask, Kurri. I think my Surgeon used to order mine, but it always seemed a bit haphazard. I can't have them any more. Bit unnerving even though I have no breasts.. Confused

KurriKurri · 28/09/2012 14:37

No Smee- he is clean and pretty, you are as wrong as a wrong thing Grin

KurriKurri · 28/09/2012 14:37

Ok -will ring BCN - thanks x

smee · 28/09/2012 14:37

Maybe it's all the drugs I've taken then.. Grin

KurriKurri · 28/09/2012 14:44

Right - just phoned BCN (and miraculously got through immediately) and she said the consultant will request one for me at my next onc. appointment, which is mid October I think.

smee · 28/09/2012 14:52

Yay. Always good to know what's when I think. Smile

Sometimesiwonder · 28/09/2012 15:04

Well done for sorting! I always have to ask for mine, too Hmm

NedSchneebly · 28/09/2012 15:07

Job done! Oncologist pleased with me, all healed up well. Had a good feel, and said that there wasnt too much internal scarring, and that the lumps and bumps that are there are completely normal Smile Have been signed off until mammo in December and follow up in clinic in January. Think I might get on with my life for a bit now. . .

Sometimesiwonder · 28/09/2012 15:10

OOh yay!!!!! Smile

smee · 28/09/2012 15:16

Smile Smile

KurriKurri · 28/09/2012 15:18
