morning all! I'm boiling. I don't know if the cat sitting on me has anything to do with it, or he just likes a warm place to sleep.
Early start again, just remembered diddn't put bin out...
kk sounds like lovely day out.
mas (hugs)
waves to everyone. What are you up to today?

MaryAnnSingleton · 26/10/2012 07:31

good morning all... I have just had most delicious yogurt and fruit compote combination
Dad's appointment on Tuesday - he has had these things removed before (think it is sun damage, probably from sailing!) they keep an eye and whisk them off from time to time. Not sure whether they'll do that then- hope so.
I have a very soft toothbrush and alcohol free mouth wash- my mouth isn't bad really, just a bit tender-but my hands and feet this morning are awful-grrr
Is gig in France yet `?

Good morning!

My plans are the school run, work, school run, cook food and then a nice evening at a friends on a tupperware-type party (no, its not Ann Summers!)

jchocchip · 26/10/2012 07:58

heck, where has the time gone? I better rush to work, friday is bacon butty day... Ann summers tupperware! sounds interesting :)

smee · 26/10/2012 10:06

Tupperware party. Oooh, have always wanted to go to one of those. I have a bit of a plastic tub fettish. Not at all sure why.

MAS Sad about hands/ feet and that mouth problem is horrid. Keep gargling even if you don't feel like it, as it might stop any mouth ulcers. My father has similar skin issues to yours. I suppose it's common, though when he first went I completely freaked about it. He's had 3 lots taken now.

Right, got to work. Can't believe it's half term from today. ARRRGH...! Timing's awful with deadlines.

KurriKurri · 26/10/2012 12:20

Invicta I'd love Tupperware party - I've never been to one, but Tupperware is great stuff.

I did get invited to a Neal's Yard party last week, - but although their stuff is lovely it is also v.expensive and I thought I might feel obliged to buy something I didn't really need, so I gave it a miss.

MAS - grr about the hands and feet, I hope that resolves itself soon once the dose is reduced, but very frustrating for you. Are you keeping topped up with pain killers?

jchoc - enjoy your bacon buttie Smile

Smee - good luck with the deadlines, have you got any plans for half term?

I was supposed to go to keep fit this morning, but I've got a horrible sore throat and swollen neck - so a cold coming I think. I don't actually feel too bad, but some of the people in the keep fit group are on chemo (its a BC group) so I don't want to risk passing any nasties on to them.

I will spend the day doing housework, trying to finish my textile picture which I need to finish for tuesday, and reading my very exciting Driving Skills Manual, as I have a lesson next week. - Gosh I'm so rock and roll Grin

KurriKurri · 26/10/2012 12:21

Does anyone want any porridge? - DD has just shouted through from the kitchen that she's accidentally made enough for the entire population - she's obviously inherited my portion estimating skills! Grin

smee · 26/10/2012 13:32

Not a porridge fan, Kurri. Far too hair shirt, though glad to see DD's a chip off the old block. Grin

We're heading up to Mum and Dad's for two days mid week, but other than that no half term plans, as I've got to work, so has DH, so we'll juggle DS between us around that. Not hard to find things to do in London, as there's so much. What happened with your mum's house? Has anyone put in an offer yet?

KurriKurri · 26/10/2012 13:56

No offers yet Smee - although she's had a few viewings, - but it's probably not a good time of year to sell, and of course it may be over priced or something - hard to tell with an old house like hers.

I'm glad you are getting away for a couple of days, it will be nice to see your parents. How is your mum doing at the moment?

I have given the excess porridge to the dog - she thought all her Christmases had come at once Grin

MaryAnnSingleton · 26/10/2012 13:56

love porrige !(but it must have a splash of milk on top and brown sugar)
Have a good half term smee and hope the work isn't too much.
kk look after yourself- keep warm and snug.
Have been out and it's freezingly chilly.
Not mouth ulcers but just a delicate feeling in the mouth ! I hadn't thought of painkillers for hands- am very bad at taking stuff when I probably should. Will take my B6 in a mo...

Signing off for a few days of fun and frolics. Much love to all - and warm, fuzzy wishes for comfy hands and mouths, and for happy weekends. xx

See you on thread 30, I should think [hshock]

MaryAnnSingleton · 26/10/2012 14:24

have a lovely time sometimes !

KurriKurri · 26/10/2012 14:28

Mmm - milk and brown sugar - lovely.

Painkillers might help MAS - certainly worth a go. I was told by a nurse a while ago that people never take enough painkillers when they need to - she said you really do need to keep to the dosage and tackle the pain before it gets hold, so you are constantly topped up. And you can stagger taking ibuprofen and paracetamol at the same time if it is really bad (because they are different drugs so you can take together), - so you can have something more frequently than every four hours.

Sometimes have fun - are you going away somewhere nice, or relaxing at home?

KurriKurri · 26/10/2012 14:29

Goodness - didn't realise we were up to 990 posts Shock
