jchocchip · 24/10/2012 10:24

smee will put a buise on fb for you, they are fading now :)

smee · 24/10/2012 10:25

Sometimes, I can just imagine those parents. We have a few like that at ours. I'd bet DD had her praises sung. You can boast on here you know. [hsmile]

Sometimesiwonder · 24/10/2012 10:33

Thanks Smee [hgrin] Not much to boast about really, she is lively, works hard and gets on with everyone, is v good at writing/spelling/reading, a bit more challenged at Maths, but no cause for alarm [hwink] A nice, normal, brightish kid.

Oh wait, that was a boast, wasn't it [hgrin]

MaryAnnSingleton · 24/10/2012 10:55

boast away sometimes - your girl is talented, that I know from her writings and drawings (still on my desk) [hgrin]
Hooray for the end of rads invicta -yay !
Hope junior smee has a restful day and is better soon. and that work is manageable and not too exhausting.
Waves to everyone [hsmile]
Hands are v painful- have decided to hang on and tell them at my onc appointment as they might alter the dosage -am also going to buy some very nice Aveda hand cream which might soothe- opening things hurts-any presure on hands and feet is owww.

smee · 24/10/2012 11:00

Nice, normal, brightish sounds a great reason for boasting to me. [hsmile]

MAS, why don't you call your BCN just to check if she thinks you should wait. I know you hate making a fuss, but it does sound horrid.

Sometimesiwonder · 24/10/2012 11:14

It does sound really horrible and debilitating. And when we were on chemo they always dinned it into us that you shouldn't just put up with SEs, you should speak up.

How's little Smee? Perked up now there's no prospect of school?

smee · 24/10/2012 11:22

Little Smee's curled up with the cat, both v.happy. [hsmile]

Sometimesiwonder · 24/10/2012 11:39

[henvy]

If that was our house my working day would be being comprehensively trashed by constant demands for attention. This is why she is sent to school unless absolutely dying.....

jchocchip · 24/10/2012 12:32

:) me too but I would have kept them off when they were little if I was at home...

smee · 24/10/2012 12:38

I'm normally quite evil too - tried to be this morning, but I got him all ready for school, then realised he'd been to the toilet three times already and could barely stand up straight. [hsad]

Having the tele on's such a treat that he's quite happy to watch it all day. Must go and interrupt in a bit or he'll have square eyes. Grin

jchocchip · 24/10/2012 12:44

aw, glad littlesmee is curled up with the cat, hope he is feeling better soon.

MaryAnnSingleton · 24/10/2012 12:44

aw poor boy- but cat and telly sound good to me.
I think if I do ring,I should ring the chemo unit as bcn advised before- might do that after lunch.

Sometimesiwonder · 24/10/2012 12:48

Nice day for little smee, then [hsmile] If he's been that poorly he surely deserves it.

Yes, I reckon the chemo unit's the place to call, MAS. Do it. Honestly. There's no need to be a stoic over things that might be fixable. x

smee · 24/10/2012 12:55

Yes, MAS you're right, I was told that too. Don't underplay how much it's hurting and affecting your work.

MaryAnnSingleton · 24/10/2012 13:00

will try...

KurriKurri · 24/10/2012 13:21

Afternoon everyone,

MAS - phone the unit, don't put up with things that are hurting you - no need for chemo to be even more yuk than it is.

poor little Smee - hope he's better soon, cuddled up with the cat sounds much more fun than school Smile

Well done to mini Sometimes - she is a bright girl, - and boast away why shoudln't you? the fact that she gets on well with everyone and is helpful and nice is a tribute to your parenting (even if she got her intelligence from the brain fairy Wink )

Invicta - nice to see you - it does sound like a roller coaster week, and secondary school choosing is a stressful time - we didn't have the GS system either - so fairly simple choice for us - luckily local comp. is a good school - hope you find somewhere where your DS will be happy Smile

Gig - since topsy's not here atm, I will creep into your suitcase and come to French France with you, I will be no bother, I am clean ish, I make tea, I cook huge casseroles and I can dance like a monkey, - why wouldn't you want me there? Grin

Have they given you anything for the anaemia apart from offering transfusion (think you are wise to avoid those unless absolutely necessary)?

waving to jchoc and amber, making more Brew if anyone needs one.

Sometimesiwonder · 24/10/2012 14:00

Thanks KK - and arf! [hgrin] at brain fairy

Oh have I missed the chance to stow away to French France then? Bugger!

smee · 24/10/2012 15:08

[hgrin] at brain fairy!

Just curious, but has anyone heard of Post Mastectomy Pain Syndrome? I think I might have a version of it, so have been looking into it. Rather ridiculously it's the preventative mastectomy side which is causing the problems.. [hhmm]

JustFabulous · 24/10/2012 15:46

Hello everyone.

What a day Sad. It is so sad that cupoftea's beautiful daughter Beatrice Primrose died this morning. I have cried a lot of tears for a baby and family I don't know but when you are a mummy yourself...

I have a headache and keep bleeding. Just generally not having a great week but after the sad news above I feel pathetic moaning.

MaryAnnSingleton · 24/10/2012 16:25

I did try phoning- honest- but nurses not about and had to then dash off to farnham and now I've come home to find tumble dryer not working so have to quickly haul out damp stuff and hang it somewhere- bah !
That is sad about the baby- don't know that MNetter, but am sorry to hear that news.
Gig have a fab time in French France- will be a tonic for you....

Hello my darlings, sorry I have been awol again. I bring home-made chocolate chip muffins as way of ingratiating myself again.

How are you doing MAS? I have been thinking of you.

jchocchip · 24/10/2012 17:01

That is sad news fab

Do you usually get headaches, would it help to get some fresh air?
:( about the tumble drier.
Mmmm muffins!
finished work and teleported home. Going to dash out for a quick swim now :)

JustFabulous · 24/10/2012 17:27

jchocchips- I think it is a tired and emotional headache (and I don't mean drunk). I will be okay once I have eaten something and slept.

Enjoy your swim!

smee · 24/10/2012 17:46

Oh dear, Fab that is sad. Sad

Waving to Sparkle. You never need to ingratiate yourself, though clearly choc chip muffins are more than welcomed. How are you and all the little Sparkles?? Smile
