laetissimus this is the worst time. I didn't believe when good people here told me but were right. And they have held me together thru some pretty gruelling times.

We need our stats queen amberlight but first off most breast issues are benign (my own brand of cancer is soft tissue but have had op and issues with breast due to bf so know this first hand). Secondly even if it's cancer (and I will spare you my rant on the emotive connections and ignorance around cancer) , most breast cancer is treatable and has long term survival rate well into nineties.

Ninety odd percent but could be into your nineties.

I get the junior doc thing too .
DHs uncles and cousins are all consultants at my hospital , one one of the uncles does the medical exams too .
I always get at least one baby doc quaking whilst trying to insert a cannula as he has just made the family connection ...

Oh, poor baby docs. I hope nursing staff are practising the line 'Do you think you need to call your registrar?', esp on nights. Ho hum, they need to learn ... But still so glad ds1 decided to be born 2 weeks late so didn't arrive first week of August as expected. Gig, that line of you dad's made me laugh out loud. Cheeky man! Just as well no cocoa or it would have messed up my keyboard!! I want to sleep. I will sleep now .....

Woke up with fever (not hugely bad) but half an hour faff to get blood for yet more tests so now wide awake.

I think Barry is alive - as I couldn't actually see him he may have been commentating from the other side
