Just popping in to hug Topsy, Gig and Amber.
Topsy I agree with the others - you are doing so well, am sure things are not as bad as you fear. As Amber shows, new treatments are being discovered all the time, too! x
Gig so glad your mum can come to help. Take it as easy as you can x
Amber I had a portacath - the removal was truly much quicker and easier than the insertion. I remember I drove myself half hour to radio, then about another half an hour to another hospital to have portacath taken out, then drove over an hour home through heavy traffic and rain through Watford, and all with DS2 (8) with me as he was off school (think it was a strike day)! Think I just had a local, and either no or very light sedative (told them I was driving afterwards). There was a bit of pulling/pushing, but reallyit was fine. I very much hope it will be for you, too. I know any hospital visit/procedure is more of an ordeal for you - very best and warmest wishes x
