Hello ladies, - just taking the plastic wrapper off a brand new thread Smile

OP posts:
MaryAnnSingleton · 14/03/2012 10:41

thinking of my girls today..
tooth is ok,but my jaw really aches,I think I've been clenching it !
Am doing some cleaning- dh home poorly - so I must look busy..

probablyveryunreasonable · 14/03/2012 10:41

Morning everyone. Thanks for all being so nice Smile

It's a week til my ultrasound and although it feels like the week will last forever, 24hours have gone by since I got the letter so maybe it won't be so bad. Just hpoing I get some answers next week and not another wait.

l4k, well done for telling your DH, it's good you will have some support today.

Good luck to Ned today too.

Trying to keep busy - hey ho at least the house will be clean!

smee · 14/03/2012 10:48

Probably, feel free to nip over and clean my house if you're looking for more distraction. I reckon it might take you a week. Grin

probablyveryunreasonable · 14/03/2012 10:56

Ha, so kind! I've been distracted by t'interweb already Grin

OneInEight · 14/03/2012 10:58

Another house needs cleaning here! Might take more than a week as ashamed as I am to admit it.

Probably - the waiting bit is definitely the worst bit but they should be able to give you a good indication after the ultrasound whether or not there is anything to worry about.

My arm is a bit swollen today so going to trot back into the hospital for them to check it out. Don't think it is a problem but would like confirmation.

SparkleRainbow · 14/03/2012 11:15

14 and Ned, am thinking of you today. I have lit a candle for you and am sending all my best thoughts and hand holding.

Probably - Keeping busy is the way to go I think, but don't exhaust yourself, just potter....and after you have potter in your house, smees and eights mine is in a terrible state.

Smee - Numberjacks is very sinister, the guy in the white long frock coat with the hoovery thing.....deeply disturbing.

Did I really write "children in red wine", that is such a classic, shall go down in tamoxifen history that one?

Sometimesiwonder · 14/03/2012 11:30

look, honestly, you lot, MY house is the grubbiest. Just because the gas guys have cleared the accumulated dust out of my gas fire doesn't mean the rest of it is any better Angry Probably - I need to be at the front of the queue, if you need cleaning-type distraction. Though personally, I'd go out somewhere nice to divert myself.

Children in red wine - arf!

OneinEight - Sad for swollen arm. Get it looked at, and do some arm exercises, if you can, just to get the lymph flowing.

Talking of arms - does anyone else get a sharp pain under their arm when exercising? I think it is scar tissue stretching, but it is v ouchy Hmm

YY for Numberjacks being vile - white hoover man and the ginger one with glasses, he looks like the jobsworth teacher at dd's school. 'Me too' is much, much worse though. Given the choice, I would chew my own arm off before agreeing to watch that again. Thank God dd is past CBeebies now.

Sometimesiwonder · 14/03/2012 11:40

I have just got another project for a new customer! Shock

smee · 14/03/2012 11:43

MY HOUSE FIRST. Did you get that Probably?! Grin

Eight, definitely get it looked at, but it's probably just normal. Exercises sound sensible to me too.

Sometimes, I get all manner of pains under arms and around breasts. Lots of swelling still too. I'd say your sharp pain does sound like scar tissue stretching - definitely worth doing that though as it can limit your movement.

On CBeebies, my absolute hate was for Auntie Mabel and her horribly cutsie dog. I used to watch it hoping her plane would crash. Shock

Sometimesiwonder · 14/03/2012 11:44

Arf! Poor Pippin! Grin

smee · 14/03/2012 11:50

Pippin, that's the one. I'd wiped his name from my memory. ..Grin

Sometimes wimming helped decrease my under arm pain. Though it's now buggered my shoulder. Hmm

Gigondas · 14/03/2012 11:51

Probably what about baby minding? Minigig has decided that daytime colic is the way forward Hmm .

Sometimes that's good re extra work.

Smee I would have thought it is scar tissue. I know that my various scars all feel like a belt that is done up too tightly. Victoria beckham can eat her heart out with her tattoos- baby scars way better.

Glad the creepiness of number jacks isn't lost on anyone else. I also hate me too. Also surely big cook and little cook ought to be on the sex offenders register. I am afraid that I have spent too much time watching and theorizing about kids tv.

Therapist very helpful- think answer on dd tantrums is to ignore. Part of issue is she tired (no nap and often gets up early so done in by tea ESP after pre school). The other thing is that she reacts to the nanny. Now nanny is fabulous, lovely and not sure how would have done without her lately but she can talkGrin. I think what she Calls a tantrum is dd trying to get a word in (lord knows I have been tempted to shout at times Wink)

Gigondas · 14/03/2012 11:52

Did the neighbors not complain about her plane? I am yet to see the episode where aunty mable and pippin go to the sewage plant. Apparently there is one...

probablyveryunreasonable · 14/03/2012 12:04

Sorry to let you all down but my cleaning distraction was short lived and confined to the downstairs only. I am now going to pass the time eating crisps and reading crap on the internet.

I may however try the new'children in red wine' recipe tonight. Can you post it please Grin

probablyveryunreasonable · 14/03/2012 12:05

Oh yes the sewage plant. It does exist and it's particularly unpleasant, in an 'I a=can't help but watch this' kind of way.

OneInEight · 14/03/2012 12:23

Probably - that sounds a much better way to fill in your time.

My kids loved Auntie Mabel and her sewage plants etc. Unfortunately they have now progressed onto Quest and that is a whole lot worse.

smee · 14/03/2012 12:34

'Eating crisps and reading crap on the internet' you'll fit it effortlessly, Probably. Grin

Gig, think I blocked the sewage plant ep from memory.. Poor Mini-Gig. How bad's the colic? Sad

I'd like the children in red wine recipe too please, though it does seem a waste of good wine..

Eight, do you mean Beast Quest? We have avoided that one so far..

Sometimesiwonder · 14/03/2012 12:40

Ah yes, I have seen the sewage plant one -there is fake dog poo and everything Hmm

pass the recipe on here too, sparkles, I have got a bottle of cheap plonk going a-begging...

MaryAnnSingleton · 14/03/2012 12:44

I have no idea what Numberjacks is I'm glad to say. When I minded Sophie when she was nursery age we did see a lot of tht granny Murray woman...Ds loved auntie Mabel particularly the sewage one, and the marmalade one- incredulous as to how she knows everyone and can go anywhere she wants...
My underarm sometimes feels quite tight when reaching up very high, but not pain as such.

MaryAnnSingleton · 14/03/2012 12:46

now S is obsessed by the Disney channel so I sit through endless identical US teen things like Victorious, The Witches of Waverley P[lace and Shake it up- oh and Good Luck Charlie and ANT farm...totally interchangeable.

SparkleRainbow · 14/03/2012 13:02

Children in red wine recipe very easy...just use the clues in the title!! Wink

Now auntie mabel is a favourite in this house....Gig really you haven't seen the sewerage one.....you lucky thing must get out more! That one and the one about making wellies for the queen we have seen many, many times with each dc. Sometimes you have shattered my illusions... thought the dog poo was authentic. Sad

Have had a panicky call from my mum, whose solicitor has only just told her she needs to see my id before my mum can complete on her flat purchase (long story but my dad has a will with a trust in it and I am a trustee). So have to leap in the car, drive to nottingham and be back to collect the children in 2 1/2 hours...going to be close, dd has horse riding and ds has a concert tonight so double panic...could so do without it, and the house isn't clean.....Probably my need is greater, so if the urge returns of Jeremy Kyle gets too much

MaryAnnSingleton · 14/03/2012 13:07

crikey sparkle - take care and drive carefully...

am adding some marshmallows to the trolley- dh bought them for me. They always make me feel a bit sick probablybecauseIscoffthemallatonce--

Sometimesiwonder · 14/03/2012 13:14

I hope the dog poo wasn't authentic, Sparkles - as i recall she picked it up and banged it on the kitchen table Shock

Drive safely Shock

What's wrong with DH then, MAS? Hope he feels better soon.

NedSchneebly · 14/03/2012 13:14

sometimes You will be relieved to know that it was not a lunch made solely of millionaires shirtbread. I preceded it with a healthy-ish avocado and bacon salad with crusty bread. Anyway, a friend bought it for me - does that not mean the calories are her responsibility?! Wink

Auntie Mabel needs her crappy spotty plane shooting down by an anti aircraft gun. That would teach her!

How's minigig ? Sorry to hear she's suffering with the ruddy colic.

Agreeed smee Shouldn't we just drink the wine? Smile

probably You and I share the perfect recipe for killing time. Got some tasty salt and vinegar crinkly ones here if you fancy? Settle in and get comfy, love.

Off to hospital now. See you all later. Hope everyone has a restful afternoon x x

Sometimesiwonder · 14/03/2012 13:56

Ah yes, if friend brought it round the calories are all hers. Plus, shortbread is much less fattening than shortbread.

Thinking of you for today, ned.x
